No matter what the scheme, the days of the fullback at Ohio State are gone... but this kid reminds me of a hybrid between Zeke and Beanie. The sky's the limit imo.
I remember being worried about El Guapo's departure..that didn't last long.
Life is good.
They have no reason to feel like they failed because every one of us was on the edge of our seats.
And they absolutely WILL be back...just watch out for the traps- and happy ending valley.
Love that kid. He's starting immediately wherever he goes.
That said, get used to this sound Buckeye fans;
I wish you were right about that.
With both JK and justin on the mend, I'm not sure we're up for LSU if we win that game. The last 4 games were the toughest I'd ever seen for anyone in college football- and that's going back a bit.
We have nothing to be ashamed of. Awesome season!
I'm sorry, but we're starting to sound like Miami fan in 2002. I refuse to participate in the "refs costing us the game" angle. Fields just couldn't do what Lawrence was doing- he wasn't 100%...then there was the regression to the 2016 playbook late in the game- qb options. Injured and still gave clemson all it could handle. Not happy with result, but very pleased with performance.
Not saying that officiating was the only reason we lost the game, but there was a point in which I was waiting for one of the refs to make a tackle.
Gotta do something about that turf in Arizona... can't help but think that maybe had some effect on Dobbins' ankle...
It was THE difference imo... and JKs ankle didn't help the cause.
Beanie Wells moment, but not a Zeke moment.
Clemson did what we could not, not much else to this one. .. I only wish we played clemson more often, because being 0-4 kinda gives you perspective on how wolverqueen fans feel.
If justin was 100% I can guarantee we win that game.
I hope Clemson leaves Etienne in as pass protection vs the predator.
Johnathan Taylor or travis etienne ... I'd choose Taylor every time, and our beloved Buckeyes did a good job keeping him in check...
But those QB runs nobody expected- ugh!
Can't allow Lawrence to do that.
Krenzel beat Miami, Justin can do this...hopefully he won't have to run at all against that 3-2-6 or whatever it is.. should be a cakewalk for JK...ALL DAY!
At least that's what I hope.
I remember Krenzel running the ball a lot vs Miami in 02...
Believe me, bad Juju wasn't the intent- I'm genuinely concerned about Fields. That QB room isn't the same as it was in 2014, and justin has a headstart on "that chance for major injury ". That's really the only concern I have in EITHER game.
I'm not convinced that Wilson can outthink Venables on the fly based on how long it took to get rolling vs Penn state and Wisconsin- both times.
If Justin gets injured and can't go, it's over. That is the reality.
I for one, welcome that... because it's true until proven otherwise, and it ought to be motivation enough.
These kids come to Ohio state to play for championships, and that's exactly where they are right now.
Justin needs to stay upright, and keep his jersey clean....we need him for 2 more games, because I don't see Chuganov going full Cardale in a matter of minutes.
Fickel did pretty good for himself in the area.. he picked up Mr football out of St X... or was it Elder?
Anyway, Mason and the Lakotas don't seem to generate as many Buckeyes as you would expect for the volume of students...those 2 actually aren't the local football powerhouses- used to be Faust's Crusaders and Princeton was the big rivalry, but now it's Colrain and Elder running the show.
Mason has produced a few over the years, but they aren't considered a football powerhouse and haven't been since I've been here going on 55 years.
how's Arnette doing ? any word on when that club will come off his hand?
Hurts got longevity votes, that is all...
Justin, as long as he remains healthy and on the field, has the inside track next season for sure.
it says a lot about our program when 3 Buckeyes are up for the same prestigious award- yes, I'm including Burrow, because without people like coach Mick and co., he wouldn't be where he is today, and he acknowledged that.
Anyone who throws shade on his decision to transfer is a jackass; he wasn't beating out Haskins, period- and the coaches are obligated to make decisions that will give our team the best chance to win.
nobody else is really in justin's way, so yeah I agree with Broadweux Joe
this needs to stop until after the season is completely over... coaches leaving before the bowl games they got them to, all that.
I mean folks complaining about how upperclassmen are sitting out bowls waiting for the draft, then you got guys like Kelly who raise the level of the program, then leaves the players hanging at the 11th hour.
