They have been frustrating to watch these past few games.....that is putting it politely. Its the damn turnovers. Literally 1 out of every 5 possessions. Holtsman has done everything he can to find chemistry and a spark. He has given Ahrens plenty of chances and he consistently gets lost on defense and totally careless turnovers. Not sure what the answer is but IMHO I think its time for TOUGH love. Turnover the ball = 5 minutes of bench time for anyone. You wanna play? Protect the ball, do not force the offense.
Rumor has it that Kevin Mays has long been leery of Kirby. He has been suspicious of illegal activity going on....just a gut feeling, call it a hunch...he simply couldnt put his finger on it.
Dont forget having a healthy Cooper and Smith. So we lose one A+++ player in Chase. But we replace him with 3 A+ players with an offseason to get healthy, stronger and development.
Breese may be the best defensive lineman at Clemson ever. Kid is a monster.
Day should offer Shah Hafleys job. Actually, no he shouldnt. Would be funny as hell if he took it, but Day doesnt play those types of games.
Not a Bengals fan, but I think they should draft Chase 1st. And if Tua is still available later in the 1st round, trade back in and get him.
They spent years spending draft picks on getting weapons for Dalton
Thats no entirely true. They have drafted OL 4 times in the past 5 drafts with the 1st or 2nd pick. They simply do not develop talent to the same level of other NFL franchises.
Thats what I was thinking. He got bent back awkwardly....but he still played after. If there was any knee damage at all...even minor...I would think he would be out, not gametime decision.
Love what Austin Mack has done for this program. That said, Olave should see three times as many reps from now on and should be named a true starter....no co-. Better hands, routes and doesnt commit penalties.
I have been on team Joe from the day he committed. Wanted Joe to beat out Haskins and before that I wanted him to take the job from JT. I am totally happy with how things worked out for us and for him. He is one of my favorite players in CFB and I am not afraid to admit it. I watched Joe in HS and always thought he was "different". Besides obvious arm talent he has true grit. You dont see a lot of QBs with grit. Some people call it the "it" factor. I call it grit and love watching him play.
I just want to see Garrett Wilson given 100% of the punt return duties. Period. That is all.
Green has WAY better hands. Bin struggles with the deep ball.
I dont care about stars and rankings at all. But I do care about the staffs "big board". Zeke was at least on their board.
Ummmm....Crowley was a last minute hail mary. While I do believe he was completely under rated, late bloomer or whatever else.....he was not even on their board early on. Being told "you are not cutting it" is never easy to hear. But the past few cycles, Tony simply isnt getting the job done to tOSU recruiting standards.
then re-evaluate him... it is what it is.
Beautifully put. And agree 100%. Everyone is replaceable....it is what it is.
Not sure Tony. Theres a couple pretty big swings and misses dating back farther than last year. I never expect to get the top guy on the board at the position....but there is no reason for tOSU to miss on the top 5-10 guys on their board multiple years in a row. Specially when we have a guy like Zeke in the league.
Yeah, Hes gonna need a better nickname....NOT Zach-meister. Maybe something like The Reaper.
Hot take...best defense in the BIG and top 5 in the nation with at least two 1st team All-Americans.
No one here gives DAA enough credit. Our scheme sucked. Plain and simple. Now that our corners will be playing the ball there is a good chance that both Okudah and DAA are 1st team all conference.
He is taller than JK and Mick can add 10 quick pounds.
Luginbill is a fraud btw.
Actually yesterday on twitter, Luginbill...when attempting to defend his rankings os Scott and Miller...said Millers drop had "nothing to do with injuries". He claimed to know "more than average fans" in his since deleted tweet. He was not willing to expand on his "knowledge" though.
Was down there for the start of camp week(5th-8th grader) and heard a lot of the same about Fields from Victor. He said "the ball for sure comes out differently than Haskins but Justin has sauce". Im pretty sure "sauce" is good. Hafley is straight up intense. He spoke for about 5 minutes and I knew 30 seconds in that he was a homerun hire.
Relax. DAA is going to be one of the top corners taken in the draft next year. The reality is he is one of the hardest working players in the room and a leader. Plus just imagine how thin we would be at cb had he left. I wouldnt be opposed to moving him back to nickle back if Wade can prove himself on the outside. But that hasnt happened yet. The new system and techniques will be a breath of fresh air for all of us. Denzel Ward, Eli Apple and Gareon Conley were all heavily flagged as well.
I was at the Woody Monday and Tuesday for the youth camp(5th-8th grade). From my limited time there, Fields is putting in the work with the WRs. Didnt see every WR but Victor was working hard both days. I assumed the other QB I seen working with the group was Chug but I could be wrong.
My son had a great time at camp. Coaches were outstanding as were a few players that got involved. Rashod Berry is an absolute class act guy. Him and Ruckert ran a drill day one and you could see he truly enjoyed being around the kids. Chase Young was another guy that impressed me. Both days he made himself available and interacted with the kids. Im sure it wasnt a requirement for him to mingle with kids and parents. Great kid.
