As someone who loves the NBA (even more than non-OSU college football...gulp) I'm so glad to see DLo get the coverage he's gotten and have the year he's had. He's a major part of a legit good Nets team. The Lakers really screwed up by trading him. Disappointing but not surprising result last night for the Basketbucks. Looking forward to cheering D'Angelo on in Charlotte. Onward!

I'm glad you mentioned the D'angelo year at OSU Kevin, it was genuinely hilarious. He was miles better than everyone on that team and often the best player on the floor, and it showed. I think my favorite moment was when DLo threw a corkscrew pass through three defenders to find a wide open Sam Thompson (or could've been Shannon Scott) right in the restricted area for him to miss the layup. Believe that was against Iowa, too good.

Also, I love Mike Thomas but won't stand for this OBJ slander. Every GM would take him on their team immediately, who cares if he parties and smokes weed in Vegas all offseason? He's perfectly free to do so so long as he produces in the NFL (as he does.) Just my two cents. Go bucks, let's figure it out against Purdue.

Well, it's a big ten west game on the road in the middle of the season, so of course I'm terrified. This might be a hot take, but I'm excited to see what Lincoln Riley can do with Jalen Hurts. I like Riley, and anything to get us away from the Clemson-Alabama matchups I'm all for. Speaking of,  year after year of Clemson - Alabama has to be bad for the sport, no?

Because Popeye's is incredible and cheap. In terms of pound for pound and return on investment? Very hard to beat Popeye's IMO. Especially when you factor in they're everywhere from the south to Ohio to Boston. I liked Hot Chicken Takover when I lived in Cbus but isn't even an option for me now.

Additionally, I am over the moon about Fields & Yurcich, ready for a Basketbucks win and some NFL playoffs. Go Bucks!

I think the NBA take is defensible tbh. Seeing where Kevin Durant & Anthony Davis might spend the primes of their careers is way more interesting to me than the Cheez it bowl. More interesting than the Bucks? Nah. So, depends on your point of comparison.

Every game matters in the regular season in college football definitely, but I think there's a negative side to that as well. If teams know that A) they can't afford a loss in the regular season (typically) and B) if they win out they'll get in, what's their incentive to schedule tough games during the regular season? Why not just have creampuffs for the entire season? I think my beef with college football is that short of a few OSU games this year, there weren't any regular season "classic" (or really even many watchable) games. Bama, Clemson, & Notre Dame coasted. I should want to watch the league's best team during the regular season, and college football doesn't have that currently.

I'd love to chime in to this, it was mentioned earlier in the threads but I think there's a huge gap between college football and the NBA in terms of their fan bases. I get more enjoyment out of watching the NBA out of College Football tbh. If it's not OSU I have a hard time watching as I'm not really invested, but the other night I watched Lakers Trail Blazers even though I'm a fan of neither team. Would be happy to share my reasons why/get a conversation going.

Despite being a horrendously bad movie, "everybody...chill!" is the right attitude for TTUN at this point. I'm assuming they'll win out before playing us, but there's a legitimate chance they don't. Then what? Are we still doomed if they lose to Penn State? They're good, no doubt, as good as the 2016 edition, but they STILL haven't been a ranked opponent on the road. Important to remember. Go Bucks!

Call me sour grapes but I am holding off on the Brohm hype. Especially since it looks like they spent their energy preparing for our game. If they can string together an 8 or 9 win season I'll change my tune, but I'm holding on Brohm for now.
