I think it was 1973. Ohio State had 3 finish in the top 6. John Hicks finished 2nd. Archie, as a sophomore, finished 5th. Randy Gradishar finished 6th.
Today was an “Urban special” during the second half of Meyer’s tenure: build a big lead, play not to lose, hang on. Felt much like the Rose Bowl win against Washington if you ask me.
Georgia fight song is to the same tune. The music is a tribute to John Brown, the abolitionist. My wife is a UGA grad. I always remind her that “Dixie” was written by someone from Ohio, something she doesn’t seem to appreciate. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2018/01/08/sports/ncaafootball/georgia-bulldogs-alabama.amp.html
Just saw reports from Orlando Sentinel that Francois is possibly transferring. He’s refuting reports, but the rumors are out there.
Urban waxes poetic about playing freshman. Holtmann did. It paid off. If Ruckert was on the hoops roster...
Just did a quick search on Mary Jo White on wiki. She was on the NFL’s external expert advisory committee on DV during Zeke Elliott’s investigation.
In the contract he just signed, the terms state:
"promptly report to Ohio State's Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics any known violations of Ohio State's Sexual Misconduct Policy (including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, intimate violence and stalking) that involve any student, faculty, or staff that is in connection with a university sponsored activity or event."
How is what happened between a husband and wife at their home considered in connection with a university sponsored activity or event?
Does anyone else think that Georgia got hosed by the officiating?
The scarlet jerseys are actually a more accurate representation of the '68 unis. They feature the black numbers. I can't seem to find any pictures from road games in '68, but the '69 contest in Ann Arbor shows the buckeyes with black numbers on the sleeves, not scarlet. Here's a link to a photo gallery... http://bentley.umich.edu/athdept/football/umosu/1969/
For them to be bashing Meyer and Barrett is ridiculous. People make mistakes. The important thing is that they learn from them. A few weeks ago, College Gameday did a segment on Michigan OL Graham Glasgow who got a DUI. Glasgow then violated his probation by testing positive for alcohol and was subsequently forced to live with his grandmother, a requirement set forth by Harbaugh for him to remain on the team.
For those of you still interested, it looks like the Buckeye Corner has Urban's white and gray pullover available. Knowing they've been sold out most places, I randomly happened to check and they had some L in stock.
I do not follow women's basketball very closely, but Kevin McGuff comes to mind as a potential replacement. He's an alumni of Badin High School in Hamilton, which is just north of Cincinnati. He was an assistant at Notre Dame (I think an assistant on a national championship team). He then went on and did big things at Xavier and was a missed lay-up away from a Final Four before moving on to Washington, where he is currently head coach.
sully and fab. in boston. ironic.
i agree with @cincyosu, LB is a position of need for us. anzalone was a big get, like it or not.
According to Rivals100 from 2006, Ray Small was their #88 ranked overall prospect. The caption underneath his name...
The wiry Small will have his share of moments in C-Bus.
...who knew it would be for all the wrong reasons.
