"It's helped with emotional intelligence and empathy." Truer words have never been typed. My exponential increase in reading the last few years has had this exact effect on me.
I've read most of these everyday...tomorrow's post is going to make me sick.
I was 12 years old for the '93 season, my 1st as a fully obsessed CFB/Buckeye fan. The years prior I was a fan bc my Dad was, but not anymore. They were MY team, not my Dad's.
I'll never forget following the weekly polls, monitoring FSU and ND all of Oct/Nov, and still holding out hope after the Wisconsin tie....only to have my soul crushed 28-0. I remember my Dad telling me I was supposed to hate that team years prior, but never really felt it until that day.
