Born in Marysville. Graduated from there. Enlisted in the Army to get away from that place! I refer to that town as a cultural void, and it still is.

I got out of the Army and enrolled at OSU in the early 90’s. I tried to win the girl back (who I met in the Army, and was an OSU student) didn’t win her over. So I went back into the Army and eventually retired. I journeyed back to campus and graduated in 2016. I think I was the oldest student to jump into Mirror Lake?

I never lost the desire to come back to OSU and finish what I started. It felt amazing when my diploma was presented to me that day. My only regret coming back was not getting the resources together to start my own fraternity like they did in the movie Old School!

I nearly spit my smoothie out when Ramzy started his counter point with “Andrew you ignorant slut!”. Can’t think of a better way to start a retort than using a classic SNL line! Seriously, I am not sure how long it will take for that team to beat Ohio State, but I can sure as hell enjoy the last two decades of watching their collective futility.

I still have the shirt celebrating the win. I bought in North Carolina, the clerk knew I was from Ohio by the look in my eyes when I grabbed it!

The Kick 6 was impressive because it’s not very often you watch Nick Saban get out coached.

Outside of Larry Johnson the entire defensive coaching staff was dysfunctional. Had the defense been less talented this may have been a three-four loss team. I felt there were times Alex Grinch sabotaged the defense on purpose out of spite. (It was pathetic watching ESPN promote him as some sort of genius every game for Oklahoma. Only to watch him get exposed after the LSU game). Billy Davis was clueless, and Taver Johnson’s defensive techniques were laughable.

I was more than happy to see Coach Day getting rid of them all. That could have been one of the better OSU teams but the defensive staff couldn’t get their collective shit together. With the exception of Larry Johnson because he is a freaking legend!

I despise, hate, loathe, abhor and find absolutely contemptible Bon Jovi. I stopped listening to radio in the late 80’s because that overrated pretty boy’s music got entirely too much air time. He epitomizes everything  wrong with hair metal, all sizzle no steak. Thank goodness grunge rescued us from that hot garbage....unfortunately most of them have passed away.

Are we talking AC/DC post-Bon Scott? Because, I agree Brian Johnson is so damn annoying...

Recently my music collection on iTunes surpassed 27,000. To which there is no Air Supply in that group, and I am rather proud of that!

I have a three song limit when it concerns Pink Floyd. After that I spiral down into a huge depression laden moment!

Not going to lie to anyone, but if I buy this book. I’ll probably skip right to the game, and how it crushed their spirit. Then pick my way into the book where the logic of a degree in general studies at Michigan is somehow superior to others.

Revenge Tour my ass.....

My favorites were: Magnum P.I.- mostly because when I retired I told my Battalion Commander I wanted to move to Hawaii, and drive a red sports, have my black friend fly me around on his helicopter, solving murders!

The Shield- I would get really stressed out before and after every episode. Wondering how Vic Mackey was going get out of trouble. Only to realize how truly diabolical he was in the final season.

Justified- I completely related to Raylan Givens’ anger at being stationed near his hometown. Which is something I would never want to happen to me. As well as his complete contempt to people in his hometown. (I refer to my hometown as a cultural void)

I wonder if Jim Bollman has already cleared out his desk knowing Fickell is on his way to East Lansing? On a scale of 1-10, just how awkward would that conversation sound like (if there will be one)?
