“Ohio State needs more Ohio flavor”
*Ohio kid commits*
“Can’t believe this kid is a take, wouldn’t happen under Urban”
Disclaimer: I am totally being sarcastic and trying to add some comic relief.
Let’s be patient, if the staff liked him enough as a take, that’s good enough for me.
Tried to embed this on mobile, hopefully it worked. This is his dad’s Facebook post. If this doesn’t bring a tear to your eye I can’t imagine what will. My heart aches for his parents and his community. No parent should have to bury a child. It’s been said here many times, but it needs to be continued to be said, fuck cancer.
With Day and Alford being the main recruiters, think that's a possible hint that Stud is not in Day's future plans? Day could be taking the lead on this with Alford to ensure that an offensive line coaching change won't disrupt relationships with recruits. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
A bachelor’s in Business Administration and 300 hours of training with a licensed treasurer in Ohio can get you a treasurer’s license. OASBO (Ohio Association of School business Officials) recently started a program to help people get their hours for their license, but I’m not sure what all that entails.
Just something to consider, a pretty good gig with a good salary and fringes, plus a nice pension system.
I could totally be wrong (and hope I am) but, I'm not so sure this has to do with a recruit. This was posted directly after two previous tweets about winning routes with your eyes as well as hands and feet. I think this tweet may have more to do with saying stay tuned for what the receivers are going to do next year.
Again, hope I am wrong and it has to do with a commitment.
I apologize in advance for being Captain Buzzkill.
Who are the realistic options to replace Stud if he goes to Maryland?
Givler just posted on Twitter that Schiano will not be back as Defensive Coordinator and Greg Mattison is in fact being targeted. Birm retweeted an article saying what Buckeye314 previously commented. Mattison is accepting a job with Ohio State, but does not specify what that role is. Also states that he informed the current players and called the signees.
A lot of smoke about this, and would be amazing if true. But the OSU beat hasn’t even mentioned this possibility from what I have seen beyond rumors, so I’m not getting my hopes up just yet.
Idk that I necessarily like it, but I could see Day wanting to keep Schiano. Didn’t he say during his three game stint as HC during the suspension that he leaned on Schiano a lot because of his prior head coaching experience? Also, could mean nothing because Oklahoma fans obviously think their DC is a better job opening than being the DC for OSU.
Harbaugh recruited Christian McCaffrey's brother Dylan. He is a QB on the roster at UM.
He started following Coach Day as well
He is not enrolling early, just signing early. He wanted one last season with the kids he grew up playing basketball with and after their deep playoff run last year. He just recently became the all time leading scorer at Lex a couple games ago.
Great news for Eichenberg! And to go along with the comment above I talked to my buddy on the Lexington coaching staff and he said he would be shocked if Cade decommitted. Obviously no guarantee, he has the right to and should do what he feels is best for him, but hopefully that is the case and he sticks. He is an absolute stud
I don't know for sure that Cade is still solid with OSU. I have a friend that coached him at Lexington. Cade was not going to enroll early and it has nothing to do with the coaching change. He wasn't going to enroll early because he wanted one last season of basketball with his friends he grew up playing with, especially after the deep run Lexington made last year in the playoffs.
Per Eleven Warriors' own Dan Hope. Lejond was asked if he was still firmly committed and he said no comment.
Not great, Bob
I wouldn't put a ton of stock into instant reaction from recruits. I am sure that Ohio State told all of their commits prior to the announcement. While they may not have had time to reach out to their high priority targets (They very well could have) I am sure that Coach Day and the rest of the staff will be out to talk to those high priority recruits soon for 2019 as well as 2020. Plenty of time for Coach Day to mend anything that needs mended. Coach Meyer did a tremendous job here, and Coach Day will continue that work!!
That's a spot on write up Spooner, Cade has the ability and instincts, and right now ZH has the measurables and potential. Being from Lexington and still living in the area I got to see a few of Cade's games this year, he was absolutely irreplaceable. Lexington had some talent around him obviously and some good skill position guys, but if Cade isn't on that team they don't make the comeback on the season they did to get into the playoffs and win a game. Watching their season opener I think the announcer had his name memorized after the first quarter because he was literally making every tackle. I watched them play Shelby and I legitimately thought Stover killed a kid. I agree 100% with your take that Stover will end up being the better player.
Dudek tweeted that a little bit before Rashan Gary announced he'd forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft. Possibly saying goodbye to Gary and nothing to do with Zach Harrison? Makes more sense to me considering as Spooner said he's got in home visits scheduled over the next few weeks.
This is either really good news for Ohio State, or is Harrison simply letting them know in person he is going elsewhere.
I thought there would be no way Stover would see playing time next year as a freshman. But the more I watch of him and the more I watch of the current OSU linebackers, starting to think he should get a chance to start. These linebackers are BAD.
He goes to the same high school I did. They have him playing safety simply because he is the best athlete and football player on that field. This isn't the first hit like that he has had this year. He hit a kid on a similar play like this earlier in the year at a game I was at against Shelby, not to this magnitude but it was close. Saw the ball coming over the middle that way, kid jumped to get it, and I'm sure he wishes he hadn't.
How quickly they forget the nice scramble that he had against them last year in The Game. If Haskins is “slow” what does that say about their defenders?
Awesome news and Coach Hartline's first (of hopefully many) big wins on the recruiting trail! With how the receivers have looked so far hopefully it is only a matter of time until that "interim" tag is ripped off!!
