How to make the bowls matter and to stop players from sitting them out and also solve the pay for play problem. The bowls would be the entities paying the players, winning team gets a little more and the bigger the bowl the bigger the payout. This would solve the issue of institutions playing players. Would prevent kids from sitting or at least incentivise them to play. NCAA still gets to play police by creating bowl tiers and payout levels. Only downside is the recruiting for teams at or around the bowl elegibility threshold.
That game will forever be an open wound to my NFL fandom. I don’t think I’ve made it through a full game since.
I’m probably going to downvotes to hell but people seem to be unable to question “mental health” issues. Seems like a flipant teen using a safe excuse to leave becuse he had a personal issue with the staff or a teammate. Just my opinion formed without any facts based on anger and frustration.
Keep your enemies close. I believe Urban and the Senator would agree.
Hopefully we can get him on the Zeke diet when he gets here too.
I hope he maintains his positive attitude if he doesn’t win the job. By all accounts he knows what he’s in for and shouldn’t be too salty if he’s not on top of the depth chart this fall. I just know he will start for us at some point if he remains patient keeps working hard. All that being said, put the best players on the field, in Day I trust.
I’ll use it in a sentence, Urban won a lot of games with his recruits.
Don’t tweet the cruits.
I don’t want anything to do with fickle every year tbh.
Ah yes blocking, the least important part of offense...
God I hope we get this man back.
Ash got a 5 year 11 million guaranteed contract. You take that no matter how bad the situation looks. Thats a lot more than any assistant is making anywhere in the country. He could easily walk into a coordinator or assistant job making half a mil. He made the right choice and it’s not even close.
I see it as less of a means to downplay college athletics in the relm of importance and more of a statement regarding buckeye nation and our relativley worry/want free seasons of past comparatively.
Better get them as an option.
Sprite is good. Coke is King!
Because public perception seems to impact the rulings.
The impact of ZS is still evolving. The reverberating impact of our lowest ranked recruiting in years has yet to be felt to it’s fullest. Not to mention it literally ran UFM out.
The only real issue i see is the o-line pass pro. Less of an issue since we have Fields but that is all i see as a true area of concern. Doesn’t bode well with the d-line the boys down south bring.
I thought that was by far the toughest call Day had to make all day. Didn’t want to disrespect Nebraska putting in our 2’s early but also not trying to run up the score. Man what a problem to have!
“Billions in profit” A very VERY select few schools actually make any sort of an actual profit off their football teams. And even then it’s nowhere even close to a billion and then all that money goes to funding the other sports. Hell there are athletic departments that take student tuition to fund their teams. College football is not the money maker people think it is. These kids are recieving $100k or more in benefits via housing and education not to mention the access to coaching they otherwise wouldn’t have. I think they should be able to make money off THEIR name but there are some details and regulations that need to be set.
He’s showing power i didn’t think he had. Got damn.
Zach Harrison with 2 sacks. 3 picks by the bullets. Fields leaves the turnover collumn blank again. 62-3
Grew up across the street from his daughter. Great family top to bottom.
I was at the game and Teague looked like a man running the ball.
