I wish we’d stop calling this game “sloppy.” Sure there were a lot of punts but we did what we were supposed to do on them (minus the first one), pin them deep and flip the field. Just because that led to a score doesn’t make it sloppy, it shows hard work on special teams pays off.
Our offense had 21 first downs, 33% efficiency on 3rd down, 61.5% pass efficiency, barely any penalties, +2 turnover, 120 steady rush yards against the number 1 rush defense all in windy cold weather for the first time and on the road no less. I’m not comparing us to Alabama but they did pretty much the same thing at home in good weather against a top 20 team and no one is calling their game sloppy.
Sweep the leg!
2010 Sugar Bowl?
No doubt it was an awesome day! It was so awesome DJ didn't even mention anything about the birthday of the great William Tecumseh Sherman today!
Agreed. After watching that video I also miss Michael Thomas. Not sure if everyone realizes it but he’s pretty good at catching a football.
Basketball tournament you say? I’ll have to look in to that.
Go Bucks! Beat Indiana, Beat Penn State!
A lot of returning receivers but Mack seems to have a special bond with Haskins, so if he’s the starter we could see fireworks from DoubleOnes II this year!
I thought for sure a win over our Buckeyes would cement coach of the year for Ferentz. What gives?!
Your opinion is different than mine, but that doesn’t mean you deserve a downvote for that. Upvote to counter.
It’s funny to hear Vico describe the 2002 game in the south stands and the “vortex” pulling toward the field. I was in the south stands that day as well, a little higher up, and I know exactly what he’s talking about. I don’t even know how I got down to the field it was like I was riding a wave to it. It was amazing.
I still have my chunk of the gray endzone that I pulled up that day. What a rivalry!
