You're correct, CC, however UT terminated their relationship with Schiano based on those allegations. They could have easily said that the university stands behind Schiano, as Urban and Ohio State have.
Yeah, I'd imagine UT would want this to happen as quickly and quietly as possible, and I believe there is another angle Schiano has if he wants to use it, the defamation of his character by UT. What school or team is going to hire Schiano as their head coach after all of this?
Thanks for the advice! Are there Buckeye fans tailgating? If so is it an "all Buckeyes welcome" type thing, or not so inviting? Keep in mind we wouldn't show up empty handed.
Thanks, BA. Unfortunately we will not be attending The Game in the Big House, though I have heard nothing but great things about the venue. The 10 or so of us will be relegated to tailgating, but your advice is very helpful!
We've heard a lot about Penn State's offense with Barkley and their wide receiver corps, but what's the story with the PSU defense? They give up a lot of yards on the ground, yes, but if they dare us to throw by stacking the box like Indiana and Wisconsin did, do they have the secondary to shut our wide receivers down? Conversely, even if they load the box, do you think their defensive line and (more importantly) dinged up linebacking corps will be able to stop our running attack?
How about: "Where'd you learn to QB? COOK-ing school?"
Trying too hard? I'll show myself out.
Michigan State's best trait on defense has been in the running game. Do you see Zeke's 100+ yards per game streak continuing Saturday?
Do you think we can slow down Calhoun and the Sparty front 7, specifically on passing downs?
How many sacks will the Silver Bullets produce? Does Cook play the whole game?
Big 12 has a chance to get real messy if a) Baylor takes down OK State (very likely) and b) TCU takes down Oklahoma (not so likely).
Other than the noon banger between TTUN and PSU, it appears to be a pretty lackluster Saturday.
Go Bucks! Beat Sparty!
Jalin Marshall, but not as a receiver, as a punt returner. MSU has one of the worst punters and punt coverage in the nation. They get exposed in the punt return game and possibly the kickoff return game. Field position will again be a major factor in a closer-than-expected Ohio State victory.
Only a few of these left this season so no matter the outcome, I'm proud of what this team has accomplished thus far this year, and look forward to what this team has yet to accomplish. What happened yesterday in Paris definitely puts things in perspective as there are more important things than sports. That being said, this team has the opportunity to go places and do things they will never forget, and I for one feel lucky to be apart of the many who call the Buckeyes of The Ohio State University "my team."
Pray for Paris, Go Bucks!
Very cool. Hope to see more things like this for many days to come, not just today.
Not sure if it's the weight on my mind from what took place in Paris yesterday or that it's one of the last Saturday's in November (probably both), but I'm up and ready to go!
Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the monstrous attacks in the capital of France yesterday. Terrible tragedy.
Who starts at QB this week?
No, really. Rothman wants to know.
Strike early, force Illinois to become one-dimensional by making them play from behind. The D posts their 3rd shutout of the year, 42-0.
If the wind tunnel lives up to its name on Saturday, wouldn't Illinois sell out to stop the run and force JT to throw? If this is the case, I wouldn't be so optimistic about the read option, at least at the start. We will do some passing in this game, and my guess is that it will be to open up the running game.
What do you think the "ade" in Powerade stands for?!
Don't forget about the Indiana game this Saturday. Indiana is still looking for their first B1G win and to become bowl eligible after almost taking down Iowa last weekend. I think ScUM has a great opportunity to lose their last 3 games.
EDIT: Part I: Garbage time and (heaven-forbid) injury not included...
Part I: Garbage time not included, would you expect to see Cardale Jones play again this year? If so, in what situations?
Part II: Why don't we run more WR screens, or even screens designed for Zeke? I feel like setting plays like that up would have at least helped CJ get into a rhythm last week, even if they didn't go anywhere.
