Joseph Hastings put in a FutureCast today for Dasan McCullough to OSU. I wouldn't be surprised if he were the next commit, regardless of class. Although Dasan is on record as saying he's nowhere near a decision yet. We'll see, I guess.
Also, this "insider" is incredibly inaccurate. He's only hit on one of his predictions, lifetime lol
Caleb Williams Effect is already on. OU Insider CBs Egbuka to the Sooners
lol this is true
In response to some of the replies in the above link, some of the UW mods on their site seem VERY confident they'll land both JT and Egbuka. Eklund won't quite go that far, but said his source said "both will sign with UW". I know it's an internet message board, and the mods are being positive as to generate clicks, but I think we need to see some crystal balls and/or OSU insiders saying something of the opposite for me to really believe the UW hype. Also, I'm very bored lol so that's why I'm reporting about UW's 24/7 site.
Just read Eklund's recruiting blog for today, and he says OSU is still in the lead for JTT (not that we didn't really already know that). Seems he's backtracked on his statements made last week that UW was in the lead for him. He even says Oregon has passed UW for JTT's services.
Nope, it's about Cook. OSU has shown no interest in him.
Not sure who this Joseph Hastings guy is on Rivals, but he also put in a FutureCast for Dewberry to OSU today
Wiltfong and Watts CBs for Devonta Smith to Bama
Eklund posted about JT in his recruiting blog today, and said something similar.
And there's always J.T. Tuimoloau to keep an eye on as well. The nation's number one prospect is very high on Washington's wish list and, as I noted in another story I posted last week, I feel like there's a good chance they may have pulled even or even moved ahead of Ohio State for his services. There's still a long way to go (February) and there are still a lot of schools after him, but Ohio State, USC and Washington are believed to be the main schools he's considering. Oregon is also hanging around, but from what I have heard, they aren't in his top three at this point, but that could change.
Not sure if this means much, but the Rutgers Rivals insider just put in a FC for Malone to OSU
Wiltfong just put in a CB of 3 for Leigh to LSU, so who knows
The Wiltfong article regarding Leigh sounds good for the Bucks, but doesn't have much other substance than that OSU has made up ground in Leigh's recruitment. It doesn't really sound like Leigh is close to a decision, and he will take visits.
Hudson Wolfe to Tennessee, as predicted
Adam Gorney posted to BuckeyeGrove that J.T. is "not at all" close to a decision. He thinks OSU leads for both he and Egbuka, but to "watch Washington for both though if the travel ban continues into the fall."
Kevin Noon over at Rivals just said he doesn't expect something to happen this week, but in the next week or two
He's listed as an OLB on Rivals, but a S on 247. I'm not entirely sure which position OSU likes him as -- he is being recruited by Coombs, so maybe they like him as a S
Yeah, perhaps I'm overreacting to one crystal ball. I'm just worried we'll have a crowded secondary, with both Turrentine and Dunn in the fold.
This is true
Tom Loy CB for Derrick Davis to PSU. I'm starting to think OSU won't have room for him, even though he's a hell of a player. Oh well
SFlaBuckeye beat me to it haha
AG with a Futurecast for Egbuka to OSU
Yeah, it's super easy to start a rumor over there. He doesn't have any sources either (not an insider)
Wiltfong just put a CB for him to the Bucks
