Is it just my imagination, or are we seeing a ton of opposing WRs catch the ball with not one OSU defender within 10 yards of them this year?
Or “so we’ll fight to the end”
You’re spot on. It’s okay to be upset about the way we were being punished in the first 3 quarters, but I can never get behind some of the crap thrown the kids’ way on social media. I can’t even imagine the pressure of playing for a program like ours in the social media era, geez.
The Kitty fans whining about the refs on that twitter thread are just precious. The zebras are the only reason it was close.
Penn State booing an injured player, classy fanbase as always
No way, 2011 was a total implosion. That year, I found it what it felt like to be a Michigan fan. It sucks.
FWIW I'm hoping for OSU vs UCF in the Peach
Or better yet OSU v Auburn in Cotton...
I'm praying for Harbaugh to Indy and Les Miles to UM
Nice write up! It's easy to lose perspective after a bad loss, but we have been and still are very fortunate as fans to have a coach like Meyer on the sidelines.
I am honestly scared of what Dantonio is going to do to this team next week
Haha, so have you never visited your own fan site or what?
I said that during the Clemson game and now this one has surpassed it. Can we go any lower than this? I hope this is rock bottom, nowhere to go but up.
Poor coaching. You don't see that behavior from real blue blood programs.
When I heard Meyer was bringing his offense to town, I never thought that I would miss Tresselball. Yet here we are
Time to start Haskins and use the rest of this season to get him up to speed and rebuild our offense. Hopefully we have a shot at the playoff next year.
There you go Parris!
Urban's offense here and at Florida has always relied on the converted athlete at receiver, I don't think that's a real problem. The issue I see is that his offense relies on timing above everything, and if the defense can rush 3 and still disrupt the timing on every down, we have problems. Our O-line this year was downright hard to watch.
I don't know if I buy that, that his offense has been figured out. This same scheme ran up over 500 yards on the best defense in the country just two years ago with a 3rd string quarterback. You saw flashes of it this year, specifically in Norman. You know what the difference between this team and the 2014 team is? The O-line.
His scheme is very timing-oriented. If opposing defenses can rush three and drop 8 and still get home almost every down, there is no way it can work. There's no way any offense can work in that situation. The same jet sweeps that used to average 8 yards a carry are now 4 yard losses. We'll be back next year with hopefully a more experienced O-line.
Is it possible that Jackson won it by some huge margin and the crew of flunkies had a log jam of mediocrity, percentage-wise? That could explain the large amount of invites.
I prefer "broke-ass man's Charles Woodson"
I've seen him mocked in the top 10. I don't think there's any way he comes back, to be honest.
Shoot, I'd leave if I was him. His stock will never be higher. Get that money while you can, sir. God knows you've earned it.
I thought this was pretty obvious, I can't believe anyone is arguing that it wasn't a first down. Wolverpussies always need an excuse to cling on to, it seems. They can never just lose because they didn't play as well as the other team; it's always the refs fault.
Oh and I hope Peppers holds this L for a loooooong time. What a baby that kid is.
Byron Hout went looking for Blount after the game and mocked him. This is as told by Hout, by the way. It's not like Blount just found some rando and popped him.
They traded all their picks for Goff. If Fisher starts him, and he turns out to be terrible (likely), it's his ass. I feel like he's stalling for time, probably until he can get more players in next year's draft.
I would posit that it wasn't even that great of a throw; it kind of pulled Curtis back into the corner. Great play by Curtis though to break the tackle and pull away. That being said, it's wonderful to have the big play threat back.
