Hopefully he comes by to watch us beat up the Badgers by 30 because Wiscy is looking like our main competition.
Family preference was the only thing that kept him from getting not one, but TWO, 5* RBs that live on the opposite side of the country. People really need to stop correlating recruiting wins and misses to overall success as a coach.
Spooner didn't mention this but JJ McCarthy got dropped 16 spots.
I don’t think anyone would be too upset if Drennen doesn’t choose the Buckeyes. Having Emmitt Smith as an ambassador for the program > having a kid who grew up as a scUM fan.
Shooting guard Addison Patterson committed to Oregon as expected. That will hopefully open the door for Moses Moody to tOSU. His only OV scheduled so far according to 247 is tOSU two weekends from now.
Well these were kind of boring. I'm going with Sam Ehlinger.
I would absolutely love an all-Ohio class (even thought Bediako is originally from Canada). So sick and tired of hearing "and from Ohio" at the Schott during opposing lineup intros.
Wiltfong went foggy on him a couple of weeks ago and there was a report last week that said he may not want to follow in any of his brother's footsteps and set his own legacy at a different school.... but then again, the same was said about Michael Carmody two weeks before he committed to Notre Dame.
Only a select and elite few will understand that reference.
There are 3 CBs on flip watch with official visits scheduled this fall. Ricks, Watts, Francois. The chances of flipping one is pretty high I would say. Why would the staff go after another safety instead of a CB?
3rd best TE in the country on 247, not even top 35 on Rivals. Exactly why the composite is just a bunch of hogwash. So inconsistent. You jut have to find which site is the most accurate and stick to it... aka Top247.
I don't think I've ever seen where a class is closer to being finished than the class before it. Hopefully we get some 2020 guys on board soon so we can be even more excited about finishing off the 2021 class.
Jeremy Ruckert said the same exact thing 18 months ago. I'm sure Ruckert has learned by now.
I read in the past that his recruitment would be a long drawn out process. He also doesn't seem like the type to just commit out of the blue on a random Tuesday afternoon, without a previous announcement of when he would be committing. You don't see a lot of kids these days, especially kids with 87,000 followers on Instagram just commit without making a huge scene on social media beforehand (top 10, top 5, top 3, committment date, etc.). Props to him for not being like the rest.
Allen Trieu went foggy on TSUN DL Damon Payne yesterday. Not entirely sure where he had his CB before that, but I think it was tOSU.
BG said yesterday morning that today, he would be putting in a CB for Lorenzo Styles to the good guys. He hasn't yet. Wonder what the hold up is or if he just forgot.
Going to be very hard with Johnson considering the connections he has. Dad played at Pitt, Dad played with Arizona’s coach, Sean Miller. Brother was a 1st rounder out of UNC.
Hugley likely didn’t include OSU because we haven’t offered him, yet.
Brenton Cox just enrolled at Florida. That's pretty funny. Very much so looking forward to that rivalry this year.
Toafili committed to the Noles last night. Crazy to think that they were able to bring in both him and Knighton... basically the same player.
He got immediate eligibility because Zach Smith probably called him the N word.
If you're going to share a conga line with someone at your sister's wedding, you at least have to be able to spell the person's name correctly.
Thanks Colin. Looking forward to the article.
I posted this in the comments of the Keon Johnson article, but I think it's interesting so I'll post it here as well.
It seems as if Duke is the leader for big man and top 40 player, Mark Williams. Fortunately, Duke also seems to be the leader for big man and top 15 player, Walker Kessler. Assuming Kessler picks the Blue Devils, I would think and certainly hope that Williams doesn't follow right behind him. Williams has officials scheduled to Duke, OSU, and UCLA. I would really like our chances if Kessler commits to Duke, and it becomes a UCLA vs OSU battle for Williams.
What are your thoughts, Colin?
