Typically, the best interior o-line prospects in a given draft year grade out in the 2nd-3rd round range (with a few notable exceptions.) My guess is he had to weigh the possibility of improving his draft stock at best one round vs. the chance of injury and decided it was worth it to take the jump now.
Perfect event to combine with a big recruiting weekend...lets get the BOOMs ready!
Great finish to the season if they can get into the Sweet 16 (let alone any further...)
Now the question is: will he make the same bet against Houston?
Clearly the deepest and strongest conference this year. Could easily end up with 4 or more in the sweet 16.
Off on a different but somewhat related tangent (the target audience would be basically the same as the MCU or Star Wars for that matter), I would love to see someone take up a movie or movie series in the Mechwarrior (Battletech) universe. After the relative success of Pacific Rim which could be considered (at least in my opinion) the awesomest stupid movie ever (or the stupidest awesome movie ever depending on your perspective), I would think a movie based on the Mechwarrior franchise could do quite well. [Note that watching Pacific Rim 2 should be avoided- it was terrible.]
Excellent work gentlemen!
It appeared Dobbins wasn't as comfortable last year - it just seemed like he didn't have the same explosion as the year before. Not sure if it was the changes in the offense that affected his confidence or if he was putting too much pressure on himself. He has the opportunity for a very big year if he bounces back.
Any and all Buckeyes that are drafted by Cleveland works for me.
It is awesome knowing that we have a head coach that can not only successfully coach QBs, but also develop them and prepare them for the NFL. This is huge for future recruiting at the position as we are starting to see.
Big recruiting weekend for sure. Very possible we see a couple of commits before the weekend is over.
Haskins appears to have all the intangibles- the mysterious "it" factor that is the difference between an average QB and a great one. Something that many of the pundits seem to be overlooking IMO. Baker Mayfield was minimized in the same way during last year's draft process.
The majority of draft experts initially had Parris pegged at best as a late 2nd round pick (most of them predicting 3rd round.) Since his combine performance many of them have adjusted him up a half to full round earlier. Late 1st round is not out of the realm of reason if he knocks his pro day out of the park.
Sure sounds like the stars have aligned for a sweet 16 appearance after a difficult end to the regular season.
Was this a single or double elimination tournament? Or round robin?
Good draw and a chance to get to the sweet 16- can't ask for much more than that. Good experience for the team regardless of the outcome.
Looks like it will be a solid roster but still a little light on height. Hopefully they will fill that 4th recruit spot with a talented big. Expectations will be higher next year for sure.
I agree with C at best. Lack of depth and overall experience is a major concern. A key injury to one of the starters and things could get dicey real quick.
It is totally awesome that a winning season AND playoffs is a realistic goal...can't believe we have had to wait for this moment since 2002 (17 years!)
Sky is the limit for Haskins based on the improvement we saw during the season.
