That was my sophomore year and I was on the field for that game. He was something else.
WWR Raider grad here. It's sad that the economy has caused such an exodus from the area. The Reserve Harding game was the high school version of OSU vs Michigan.
We moved to Westerville in 1992 because we needed good jobs, and there weren't any at home. It's sad to see how much the area has deteriorated over the years. I'm a WWR grad and played for Coach Annarella in the early 80's. The Reserve - Harding game was a battle, and was our version of Ohio State vs Michigan. High scool football games in Columbus aren't the same as they were at home back then.
Great job not only realizing that you had to do something, but also for having the discipline to do it! On January 3, 2019 I went to a goal setting meeting for the year, and for my personal goal I listed that I wanted to lose 33 pounds by the end of June. I didn't hit my goal but I am down 32 pounds for the year. I'm also in much better shape than I have been for over 25 years.
Both of my kids work in healthcare, and they told me to stay away from all of the fad diets out there. It comes down to calories in vs calories burned. Weight Watchers helped me with this because the points system is basically calculating calories. I set up the App on mhy phone and linked it to my Apple Watch. I don't pay extra to attend workshops and only use the App to track my food and fit points. Working out will earn you more points.
I also started walking every day and hitting the gym at least 3 times per week. I do about a 40 minute cardio workout where I go from station to station without stopping. I mostly use light weights, but I have gotten stronger, and aboout once a month I throw some extra weight on the bench press. I'm 54 years old, weigh 201 pounds, and I have been able to do 6 reps with 295 on the bar to end my workout. I can do more but don't want to hurt my shoulders.
My daughter said that diet is the key. If you workout without changing your diet you will not lose very much weight. If you do all doet you will lose weight. COmbining the 2 will get the best results. Goof luck to everyone who is taking charge of their health!

It's a little cheesy but I liked it. It made me laugh, and the references from God Father, Goodfellas, and The Sopranos was great.
I did watch, and Werner needs a lot of work. I still don't think we can assume that Jones is better. It will be interesting to see what the new coach can do with all of the linebackers. Werner has the size and speed to play the position, so hopefully between the new coaching staff and having a year of experience playing, he will get better.
How do you know that Werner isn't better than Jones? Jones hasn't been on the field enough to make that judgement.
