Honestly, this will seem completely negligent if JT goes out there and re-injures/aggravates his knee on Saturday.  Start Haskins, let JT beg to go out there if he's needed and even then, weigh your options heavily.

Watching him and Eddie were some of the first Buckeye game memories I can recall.  I was 10 years old in '95 watching them and that was when I decided early on, that I was going to graduate from THE Ohio State University.  They ignited my love for the Buckeyes and TG was a great one that we'll always remember. RIP.

Rookie shoe contracts are too risky and most likely not worth the heavy investment.  One and done is mostly to blame for that, with the NBA being inundated with rookies not ready to contribute and thus be worth the marketing money.

The interesting thing I heard on the radio was the increase of commission percentage a lot of the one and done players are being locked into with rookie shoe deal contracts.  It sounds to me like the blue chip prospects are being funneled money with the intent that they will have to sign with that shoe company upon entering the NBA....the trick is that then these kids have no leverage/negotiating power to shop themselves to multiple brands.  For the shoe company, they invest the $100K up front so that instead of 5% marketing commission they can get, say 20%, since they already "own" that player's "rights".

I was at the Fairfield game last Friday.  Carman would do half of a warm-up and then walk off to go chit-chat with buddies.  He got halfway through one calisthenic, looked at the heel of his black cleats, motioned to one of his friend's who then ran to the locker room to fetch Carman's GOLD cleats.  I looked directly at my wife and said, "You've got to be sh*tting me."  She asked me why he was so special that he didn't have to wear what the rest of the team was wearing....

That being said, he completely dominated the DE lined up against him and Fairfield was up 27-0 before the 1st quarter was over.

Btw, Malik Vann looked like a grown man out there attacking the QB.  Fickell landed a stud if that commitment sticks.

All you had to do was take one look at their message boards.  It was a complete meltdown over there.

They were losing their minds.  Not saying I wouldn't be upset if something similar happened to us.  Just glad that we shouldn't ever have to worry about such a thing!
