If it is going to happen - let it happen now - while the talent is still here. Day needs an elite perception on the recruiting trail.
What we are seeing is the aftermath of a fall out between a head coach and the school's administration. Would you be capable of investing yourself emotionally and unconditionally for a institution (or members of it) that threw you under the bus to save its image? That appointed your successor despite you? Aware of your deteriorating health none the less?
Based on what I've seen of him it looks like he could pretty much play anywhere - even at a big time program. Just got recruited over with Haskins.
How will we really know until he plays meaningful snaps? When he only plays mop up duty it's natural to perceive him as not-ready. I just think we play small ball because of JT's inability to throw the ball downfield. OSU should never play small ball.
If i was a fanboy i'd probably be team JT.
ok I'll rephrase. He has an NFL arm and size. JT doesn't.
Do you watch football? Can you you not see the talent gap between the two? lol
He'll be an NFL QB. JT won't
You mean the waxing of average teams? Who has JT beat besides above average Michigan teams? I can think of 1 game last year in Norman. We rarely play teams with comparable talent. Not saying JT isn't a good QB, but I'm not sold on the fact that any other decent QB couldn't produce similar numbers.
Has Haskins got the chance? Has JT won a national title? Big ten title?
Haskins does thing on a football field JT will never be able to do.
Can't say the opposite is true.
Cool. Give me the QB that can throw. Same as the WR that can catch. Or the linebacker that can tackle. The read option can be learned. A big arm is god given.
We're playing Rutgers
Always "nothing wrong with that throw." At some point there is
JT Barrett's arm is the runt of the litter
I just love watching JT run the ball. What a privelage.
How did he manage to throw the ball that far?
You have a future star in Haksins, and Burrow can make every throw on the field, run, and he understands the game (father is a college coach). The backups have more to offer than JT. It worries me that Urban wont make a change.
Secondary is just as bad as JT
At this point - by process of elimination - it's Urban or JT. JT's arm has been questioned as early as the elite 8 camp. I know Urban is loyal to him and I give him credit for that. It's time to see what Burrow can do (or Haskins but he's a TF)
Come on. Burrow can throw (and run). His dad is a college coach. Haskins is the more talented than both. JT had a great year with Herman but that's antiquity at this point. It's time.
Peppers will not be an impact player in the NFL.
I know all about his intangibles but talent wise JT could be the 3rd best QB on the roster....(not a knock on JT)
