Any day the defense wins is a good day! Anyone sleeping on this offense is silly. Let this defense go to work! All of the talent is there!! Let Vincent, togiai, wade , Mitchell, Wade, Johnson eat! These are future NFL studs! Get them in the game!!! Let’s goooooo
Utilize him! Let’s redeem the under usage of Michael Thomas with what looks to me like his clone. Don’t get second chances like this often!
When you put up the numbers he has you deserve to get paid like he just did! Way to represent Ohio state Thomas! Can’t wait to have you on my fantasy team this year! Elsewhere Jourdan Lewis is still fighting for a roster spot...
That is the most ESECPN thing I’ve ever seen. The narrative is always clear. Commit to Clemson or The SEC and watch your stock soar. Or commit to the Big Ten, (anywhere) and expect your stock to immediately decline. Been watching it for years now hahaha
I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Arnette was the reason why Okudah had to “wait his turn” can we get Tyreke Johnson, Shaun Wade and Okudah on the field at once please. Sometimes the younger option is better! Definitely think Mitchell brings what we need for the linebackers. And we need to utilize the potential of the young guys on the D-line. Best players need to play. Unless they just haven’t earned it. But the product on the field hasn’t shown that it’s being earned I feel.
Your right I botched that one... Williams***
Im very curious to see what McClain can do for Iowa state. David Montgomery who is being viewed as a really solid back was also from Cincinnati. And a three star, hope he can represent Ohio and fill those shoes
The potential of Taron Vincent and Tommy Togiai drives me crazy. So highly touted, I hope this isn’t a seniority thing! Look at the studs Alabama and Clemson just put into the NFL on the defensive line. I feel like Vincent and Togiai meet that kind of potential not Hamilton and Landers. I just think we’re sitting on them way too long. I guess I’ll see. Love Mitchell too, way more physical than Werner. We need that Darron Lee type threat back on our defense. He fits the mold perfectly if not better.
The defense brings back a bunch of our talent. But some of those guys should’ve been rotated alittle more to see what the younger guys have. Throw Tyreke Johnson out at CB and see what he can do. Throw Josh Proctor our at safety and see what he can do. Throw Teradja Mitchell out there and see what he can do! This defense is as talented as anyone in the country! Need to play like it. Get the best guys on the field no matter their year! Definitely don’t think we’ve been doing that lately
I mean based on his checklist... seems Georgia is about the furthest thing from clear track to playing time.
I feel like the defensive issues go away this year much like they did in 2014. This team is built primarily off two of the best recruiting classes ever. Not just Ohio state, all time! And the bulk of the talent was on defense. You could tell that whatever defensive scheme they used played a huge part in the way they performed last year. At least that’s how I saw it... The coaches we brought in are perfect to right the ship. Expect a team similar in talent to 2014. Can they execute now? People will be underestimating them this year.
So why does Fields name continue to be followed directly by injury talk? Like since he’s stepped foot on campus all we hear from everyone is he can’t get hurt or our season is done. Wow never thought about that before. But let’s bring it up every time we mention fields? How about Tagovailoa? Can he make the whole season healthy considering what he showed last year? Can Alabama compete with Clemson without him and win the SEC if he’s hurt? Let Fields play! No more injury talk damn
Hopefully they don’t hold Olave back. That game wasn’t a coincidence look at his senior year stats and consider his injury. Now I’m not sure he shares the same position as Mack. But if Mack shows those same catching struggles like he did last year they need to give the younger guys a chance. The NFL consistently turns to the unproven young guy over the veteran. I think that mindset could’ve helped us not only win games more convincingly but also maybe have served to prevent unnecessary losses. Let’s hope we’ve learned.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but does Togiai and Vincent really need time “wait their turn”? I mean Togiai was near 5-star status by the end of the cycle and he was one if the biggest risers by the end. Vincent was a 5-star throughout his recruitment and now the both won’t be seeing the field until their junior seasons because they’ve been sitting behind two 3-stars who are redshirt seniors. Seems like if they earn it they should get, or were they both just a little overrated coming out that they can’t beat out former 3-stars?
To think of what Kerry Coombs could’ve done with Okudah, Wade and Johnson...
Is there a history of our quarterbacks going down for the season with injury that I’m missing here? I’m definitely not going to even compare Fields’ frame to those of Braxton Miller and JT Barrett. But was Pryor out for long stretches of time? Why is fields name mentioned and promptly afterwards injury fear? It’s weird to me. I think fields is the guy. Let him be the guy
Look at all of those extremely relevant NFL players. And they’re all so recent too. Yet people still claim that Ohio state isn’t talented enough to compete in the playoff... we need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. But I honestly think games like Purdue and Iowa are just a balanced conference at work. Bad teams blow out good teams in the NFL all the time. But just seeing all of that familiar talent makes me think what we could’ve done with a chance.
All of them on one team too. With even more players to name around them. 2015 still haunts me
I 100% agree with that Michael Thomas take. So much so I activated this account just to say so. The 2015 team was maybe the best team in ncaa history. I feel like Garett Wilson will be what Thomas deserved. Watching him on film he really even kinda looks like Thomas. By the way do you ever listen to Thomas’ interviews? He has such a way with words
