I'm glad the first quarter was a struggle. I think this team needed to face some adversity. I think it will help them continue to focus and realize that there are teams out there that are willing to square up and go toe to toe.

That being said I was really impressed with the way they responded. Sometimes under Urban, it seemed like when things didn't go according to plan, we panicked a little and played tight allowing the other team to gain confidence. Not on Saturday though.

They seem to have some talented guys that will want to show what they are capable of. I don't think they will hang with us for long, but we've seen what happens when a less talented team gains some confidence against the Buckeyes, they start playing with some swagger, we start to panic. God I hope we crush their spirit in the first quarter. Don't give them any chance to make it a competitive game.

I think they will run him just enough to keep the defense honest. I hope it doesn't come down to a safety net like with JT. But in order for that to happen, we need to be able to execute in the situations where the QB run is expected but not used. I think this kid is going to really open the offense up. Lets hope the hype is real.

Each day that goes by helps to solidify the decision to make Day the head coach. Form what he was able to do in Urban's absence, to the way he was able to get the recruits secured in the off-season, I think we can rest assured that the program is in good hands.

That being said, this is a huge season and will tell us a lot of what he is capable of. I want to see us beat the crap out of teams we should and avoid Iowa and Purdue type games. The talent is here for championships, I hope it isn't squandered.

Really looking forward to seeing some of the young guys and what they can do. With all the discussion about recruiting rankings and such, now is a perfect time to see what it really means. And looking at the success that Lawrence had at Clemson last year, I'm really excited to see what Fields can do. I just truly hope that the best players are on the field. Ohio State is not a program that can afford to have sub par players on the field due to loyalty to upperclassmen.
