Really? I would MUCH rather have #2 than #1. Beating TTUN is routine and they may occasionally take one, but the natty is a rare thing. We get TTUN every year...we don't get a shot at the natty every year.
"This is my football 9-11."
When you take college football a little too seriously...
The only problem is he won't sit. Keenum will either suck or get hurt (or both) and Haskins will probably be starter by like week four.
“He’s got a ways to go,” one scout told Yahoo Sports. “Throwing into tight windows and ball placement. He’s not there yet.”
Huh? How can you possibly come to this conclusion after watching him this year? He's excelled in both areas. Sure he has stuff to work on, but those two things are like a solid A right now. Hearing some of the scouts makes it easy to see why there are so many evaluation miscues in the draft...
This is a smart decision. It's a bit sad from a fan's perspective, but definitely the right move. It was nice to have you and good luck at the next level.
"It has two national title contenders, and a third (Michigan) isn’t that far away if it comes up with a couple more answers."
Does not compute.
KJ Hill's snap count should be higher. The dude just makes plays and has the best post-catch awareness of all the receivers. More KJ please.
I don't know if it's a lie or not, I just thought it was funny.
Urban Meyer: "I don't know how to Tweet out."
Dear EW editors, I love your coverage of this saga but this is not worthy of its own story. Cheers.
Whether this statement checks out or not, answer me this: Why wasn't Zach Smith fired a long time ago?
I like Urban and want him to survive this, but Smith remaining on the staff is tough to justify.
I have a bridge in New York that you might be interested in...
What evidence to you have that is ex is crazy? Because she was the victim of abuse and she's speaking out..??
Yes and no.
No because she says she does not know if Shelley talked to Urban about it. That's important.
Yes because now instead of words on a Facebook page you have a real, live, honest-looking woman talking on video. This makes the situation seem more relatable and it's bad news for Urban. So from a PR-perspective, it does make it look worse IMO and will bring more attention to this mess.
I hate domestic abuse and I love transparency. I do agree on hot takes, though.
I said in the Smith firing article that Meyer might not survive this....and got a lot of flack for saying that....
I want Meyer the coach to stay as long as possible, but this could be really, really bad. The text messages are pretty damning circumstantially, but I wonder is there any actual proof that he knew about the 2015 incidents? Perhaps Shelley was his way of providing a buffer to "knowing" about this stuff. Either way, not good.
And if he knew about this abuse, and did nothing while preaching respect to women as a core value, how can we support him in good conscience? IF he knew, I can't.
I can't believe that Meyer was so loyal to Bruce...this scumbag Smith should've never been on this staff and fired long ago.
Yes it was, and only because he had no choice.
Check with the legal team. Avoid more news coverage with end of day firing.
Urban can and probably will survive this (or perhaps this is an out for him as well), but this is a HUGE black eye for him and OSU. He has daughters, preaches against violence against women, and 100% know about the 2009 incident. He's just too loyal and could't fire Bruce's grandson, but that is squarely on Urban. I hope he survives this but it's going to hurt recruiting and the program in general, and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.
Also, I believe in due process but you all are fooling yourselves if you think Zach Smith will get it....that is not how our world works anymore. He's already guilty in the public view and needs to go by end of day.
The Opening has a Hall of Fame wtf?
