I don't watch Gameday any more and I won't watch it on Saturday just to see Corso put Brutus' head on during the last 3 minutes of the show after 3 hours of pumping up the SEC and how they deserve to have 3 (or more) teams in the CFB.
Browns fan since the 50's but I am going to, once again, turn my attention from the season to the 2020 draft.
Dean Chance was the star on that Northwestern team.
The first game I saw was Lucas et al in their final home game their senior year against Indiana. The Bucks dropped a hundred on the Hoosiers. When I walked into the arena, the only thing comparable, in my mind, was when Dorothy woke up from the tornado and found herself in a colorized land of OZ. I then got to see every home game of Gary Bradds during my freshman and sophomore years at OSU.
I was wondering when DeSales would appear. I had two sons play on the 97 and 98 football state champions. Also I believe DeSales still holds the record for consecutive football playoff appearances.
As long as any Power 5 schools play FCS schools, it is still chickenshit. If Power 5 schools still want to play FCS schools, then the victories will not count toward their win totals for that season.
Never happen, but I would like to see one commercial/advertisement free game per year. No public address commercials and no commercial coordinator waving his arms on the field dictating when the teams can resume play.
I may be a conspiracy theorist, but the recent mess, which I called in February, looks a lot like the ownership of Rachel Phelps in "Major League" when she tried to make the team worse so she could move the franchise to Florida.
Why doesn't the BIG just switch basketball refs. to football and football refs. to basketball. Couldn't be any worse.
Hopefully 11W will give them more coverage than they did for last year's team.
Final 4 - 4 teams - representing 4 Power 5 conferences. Parity?
Thanks, Kevin. I hope you are right.
Been following the Lady Bucks all year. Would go to 11 Warriors for a story on the girls or a recap of the games especially toward the end of the season and rarely, if ever, see a mention of the team. I began to think somebody pissed off the 11 Warriors writers. I hope this changes next season.
Does anyone on the 11W staff realize that the women's basketball team had a road game last evening and won?
I was beginning to think that the Women's basketball season had been cancelled for all the more coverage that the team and their games had been covered by 11W.
The unranked women's team go on the road and blows out a ranked team by 20 points while the men's above .500 team play a below .500 team at home and lose. Which team gets ALL the coverage? And its been the same all season.
Who is going to carry the Cleveland Indians?
Not an answer to your question, but an aside. Why do officials have to take so much guff from coaches and not "T" them up? And the bigger the name of the coach, the more he can get away with. In the BIG, Coach Izzo comes to mind. He can rant, rave and whine from the tipoff and stalk all the way to mid court and the officials never "T" him up. It seems to me if he and others would start getting their second "T" for their antics by the middle of the first period for a couple of games, they would return to coaching their teams instead of trying to bait the officials.
If he made an official visit last week and still decided to commit, it must have been one hell of a selling job.
Anybody else see a resemblance to Niedermeyer from Animal House?
I'd rather watch a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie and I probably will.
Double post. sorry
Are refs instructed not to "T" up coaches who are constantly whining, bitching and screaming at them? A couple of games of being T'eed up twice early in the game and forcing him to "coach" from the locker room. Maybe the refs are just too intimidated by the coach icons.
Maybe they meant suicide watch.
