I was surprised when Coombs left for the Titans because he felt like a coach that might stay until he retired. Can't wait for him to come back if that's Day's choice.
Don Brown has done a great job considering he's coaching a mirage. Certainly need an elite coach with the energy and passion to recruit.
I don't know that it's fair to compare the first half of TTUN and Wisconsin given that Wade didn't play against TTUN and Okudah missed significant time in the B1G Championship Game. That said, we definitely need our secondary to be completely healthy. I do believe that our #1's form the best secondary in the country.
I know it doesn't count but isn't Louisville the team we beat in our closed scrimmage prior to the beginning of the season?
I'm not against gambling but I pretty much quit watching Gameday when they brought the Bear on full-time. Corso's taken a smaller role and sometimes it's a little sad to watch him now. Desmond's unwatchable, not because he's a Michigan guy, just because he's terrible at his job.
My older son loves McAfee. I think he's a billion times funnier than the Common Man but I can't stand to listen to that show for even a minute. McAfee seems like a good one-week guest but it's hard to picture him on that show full-time. Doesn't matter since I'm really enjoying the Fox Big Noon Kickoff team. I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy BTN Tailgate.
Taylor's a great running back but it makes you wonder if they look at how yards were gained given that Dobbins four best games were against Ohio State's toughest competition.
In any event, congratulations to all of the Buckeye award winners. Well deserved!
Sure it does. Then they don't even have to play us. They are at their best before games are played and versus teams not on their schedule.
No thanks. I've seen his play and some of his antics. He's more of a Michigan man.
Gotta love Coach Holtman. No reason we can't be great at both football and basketball!
I know you mean CJ Walker and totally agree that Walker and Carton are far more effective than Jackson and Woods were last year. I'm not knocking Jackson and Woods as we would have been uncompetitive without them.
I'm not sold on Luther's shooting game yet. He still seems out of control at times and is only shooting 33% over his past 4 games. He's a solid defender though and we have other scoring options this year. Washington seems to have found his groove. His shot has improved and he drives so much harder/better than last year. It feels like the key for him is just keeping him within the context of the game. He'll hit a couple of shots and then take a contested bad shot early in the clock. Overall, I love the way this team shares the ball though!
Q: What's the difference between chicken and boogers?
A: Jim Harbaugh won't eat chicken
I can't imagine what it would be like to ever cheer for them to win anything so I'm hoping they go 0-forever!
Umm, the Big Ten has 6 teams ranked in the coaches poll Top 25 instead of 5 as the article states. Somehow the author didn't count Ohio State!
The results are based on ticket sales. The author states it in the comments section of the article.
I thought I was a 10 until I raised a 5th grader that made a bet with his friend that he could wear an Ohio State shirt every day of the school year and won. His mom helped by letting him wear a Buckeye shirt underneath his dress shirt for picture day. Everyone, including the teachers, called him "Buckeye" the whole year.
Nothing personal but I could live without "Super Fans" like Buck-I-Guy, Big Nut and Buckeye Man. We have a mascot, Brutus, who does an excellent job. I did enjoy the Neutron Man back in the 80s. He had his dance and got the crowd pumped but stayed in his seat. I never thought he was trying to draw more attention to himself than the game.
Zero defensive players on the list? Jabrill Peppers would like to have a word with the creators of this!!
They should have changed the name to Scarlet and Grey (instead of Gray)
I just had this discussion with my brother last night. We felt like recruiting clout currently looks like...
5. Ohio State
with 2 & 3 being very tight and 4 & 5 being very tight. I think Ryan Day will do a great job and we will ascend closer to the top.
New Mexico State was 30-4 but there's absolutely no one left in the WAC. I couldn't find a good victory in any of their wins although they played Kansas tough (lost by 3 points). On the other hand, the also lost to California Baptist.
I wish we could have hung on to AJ. He had some explosiveness.
I can't wait to see DJ in a Buckeyes uniform next season!
In fact, I'm looking forward to a bunch of silky Js with a new CJ, DJ and EJ!
Good luck. There's lots of film so impress them with your knowledge.
Bonus material: My kindergarten teacher often gave us Knox Blox (just like Jello Blocks) as a snack. I didn't realize later that Knox Blox would have a different meaning :)
I don't want to be a play in team either but a game in Dayton could be fun and like a home game
Regarding Kaleb in the article...
In the five prior games to Friday's against Michigan State, he didn't have more than three fouls in a game and had two or fewer in four of them.
I should hope not. He didn't even play in 3 of those games!
(I know they were talking about his last 5 games)
What movie is about Indiana basketball? I don't even think they have that going for them. Hoosiers has nothing to do with IU.
