I would avoid B-Deck unless its in the first couple rows. Unless of course its raining, then they aren't too bad. Lower half of C-Deck is usually the best, but those stairs can be a pain.
Couldn't agree more. I've been against this from the very beginning, game atmosphere is going to be even worse now.
A fully functioning roof would be appreciated. Our whole section was getting hit with drops of water for most of the game. I've probably seen 100+ games there and never once saw people slipping from the ice underneath. That had to be leaks from the roof.
Went to the Bengals game Sunday. 300 level 50 yd line $65. $3 to park over at Newport KY and $1 to take the shuttle over to stadium. Was shocked. However given the Bengals performance, we may have overpaid.
It's not like we ever buried Vonn Bell or Malik Hooker behind guys . . .
Thompson has been playing really well, but he can't stay out of foul trouble. I'm sure the coaches would like 28 minutes out of him too.
For comparison, the face value on my Oklahoma ticket this year was $125
Been going to games since I was a kid, which has now been many years. Season ticket holder the last few. That was one of the worst crowds I can remember. Kickoff looked like it was a noon start. I get the "there wasn't much to cheer about" as the playcalling again was atrocius. But even when it was tied with like 6 minutes left, people were leaving. Once we scored to go up 7 even more people leaving. It's not like it was midnight and people wanted to get home, what the hell. Even when NW was marching down to tie and the crowd finally woke up, people in the 3 or 4 rows in front of us were still sitting. I don't get it. I do think more of the hardcore fans have been priced out. I'd be fine with them banning cell phones. If these next 2 aren't completely nuts I'm going to be really disappointed.
I have been threatened to have someone "beat my ass" on more than 1 occasion because either myself or my wife were standing on a third down play. We moved as far away from that section as possible with our new seats.
I mentioned something to her Saturday about being kinda depressed that the Shoe would never sound like that.
came here to say blondies. nice spot on the strip. watched the va tech game last year there, filled with buckeyes
I've been to pretty much every major game since 2000, and have to say, that USC game was prob the best atmosphere I've ever been in (outside of sitting in student sections).
The problem is, those that want to partake in what SHOULD be the ideal atmosphere for a college football game are outnumbered by people who go to say they went and just want to sit and wait for the game to end. I almost had 2 people fight me at the Michigan game in 2014 because I kept standing up "obscuring their view and ruining their experience".
I'm assuming this announcement is alcohol sales, but I wouldn't classify that as a renovation so much, so I'm anxious for this press conference.
Great stuff as always Ramzy. Great picture selection too. That's me in the white hat behind Thad.
me too! Go Bucks.
Excellent point. As frustrating as it gets sometime, people forget that some of those older people who aren't standing and screaming are donating thousands of dollars to pay for the players' scholarships.
Buckeyeman stopped by our tailgate and asked if we would hold a sign saying "fan of the week" and take a picture with him. We (not so) politely declined. Then took a picture of ourselves as he walked away.
I have a 70 inch Vizio, had it a couple years, really like it. Only other thing I'll add, if you're looking at two and one is a smart tv and the other isn't, go with the one that isn't and then just pick up an amazon fire stick or roku. I have each and like them both way more than the smart tv apps.
Agree 100% Got a Weber Performer grill for a wedding present. Going on 6 years now and still works/looks great. It's charcoal with a gas start. Love it!!
