Eli Apple is officially a New York Giant.

The former Ohio State cornerback and 10th overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft signed his first NFL contract Friday morning, one of four Giants draft picks to do so.

Spotrac projects Apple's deal to be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $15.1 million over the course of four years. The four-year deal is pre-structured by the NFL's collective bargaining agreement.

Tight end Nick Vannett beat Apple by roughly 20 minutes to become the first Buckeye to sign a contract with his new club.

Rookie minicamps are set to get into motion this weekend, so Apple won't get his first crack at star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. until later this summer. That won't stop him from being excited for the challenge, though.

New York opens its 2016 season Sept. 11 in Dallas, where Apple and the rest of the Giant defense will be tasked with stopping his former teammate Ezekiel Elliott and the rest of the Cowboy offense.
