Jaxon Smith-Njigba was already having a big game in Lincoln.
Then, midway through the second quarter, the sophomore wideout caught a pass over the middle, juked a Nebraska defender and sprinted down the left sideline for a 75-yard catch-and-run touchdown to give Ohio State a 17-3 lead after the extra point.
Smith-Njigba had a game-high six receptions before that catch, but the Texas native upped his tally to seven for 140 yards after the longest scoring play of his Buckeye career.
The Huskers scored on a 72-yard pass on the very next possession, but Smith-Njigba's score gave Ohio State its second touchdown of the game, and the second on a pass from quarterback C.J. Stroud.
