Ohio State's Sept. 11 home opener will be a noon game on Fox, the network announced on Thursday.

Fox Sports announced that it would broadcast Ohio State/Oregon on Thursday, and a Fox Sports spokesperson confirmed to Eleven Warriors that the game will kick off at noon.

Fox Sports executive vice president of strategy and analytics Michael Mulvihill revealed the network's plans for that weekend during an appearance on The Herd, also announcing that Fox will be broadcasting the Yankees/Mets game that night on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The Ohio State/Oregon announcement marks the first game time and TV network designation to be set for Ohio State's 2021 schedule other than the Michigan game, which is also scheduled for a noon kickoff on Fox on Nov. 27.

The Oregon game will be the second game of the season after the Buckeyes' season opener at Minnesota, which will be played on Thursday, Sept. 2, though a kickoff time and TV network for that game have not yet been announced.
