Carlos Hyde is heading to Seattle.

The former Ohio State running back is returning to the West Coast for his seventh NFL season, agreeing to a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports.

Hyde can earn up to $4 million on his one-year contract with the Seahawks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport – an increase from the $2.8 million he made with Houston last season.

The Seahawks become Hyde's sixth NFL team since he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2014. Hyde spent four seasons with the 'Niners before splitting time with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018.

After a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hyde found a more reliable home last season with the Houston Texans, finishing the season with career-highs of 1,070 yards and six rushing touchdowns, marking his first 1,000-yard rushing season in his NFL career.

Chris Carson will likely remain Seattle's starting running back, but Hyde figures to see plenty of carries as he adds much-needed depth to a Seahawks roster that was decimated by injuries last season.
