It's shaping up to be a cool, crisp and dry evening in West Lafayette as No. 2 Ohio State takes on Purdue in a primetime Big Ten affair.

Expect the thermometer to read 40º for kickoff, though it will feel cooler with 18 mph winds out of the Northwest. As the game progresses, the temperature will drop to the mid-30s in the fourth quarter, with the wind also trailing off to just nine or 10 mph.

So yeah, bundle up a bit.

On the rain front, we're looking at nothing arriving during the game, which is good news for two teams that enjoy throwing the ball around. Also look for clouds to disperse leaving a clear sky as the game moves into the second half.

Planning to tailgate in West Lafayette? Er… okay, if you insist. It will be sunny and warm throughout the morning and early afternoon, reaching a high of 55º at 1 p.m. There is, however, a 5-10% of precipitation from 2 to 5 p.m., though again, rain should not be a threat at all for the game.
