J.T. Barrett's time with the New Orleans Saints has concluded, according to a report from Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Barrett's release opens a spot for linebacker Darnell Sankey on the Saints' practice squad. 

Barrett, of course, left Ohio State as one of the all-time winningest players in program history and re-wrote the Buckeyes record books.

He now hopes to continue his NFL journey elsewhere.
