It was Senior Day at Ohio Stadium and the Buckeyes paid tribute to 19 seniors. Here's Urban Meyer saluting his favorite senior, J.T. Barrett.

The Buckeyes wasted little time putting points on the board, going 75 yards in 9 plays to make it 7-0 after running back Mike Weber punched it in from four yards out.

Barrett would make it 14-0 on Ohio State's next drive, keeping it from the three to cap a 6-play, 71-yard drive.

Ohio State forced another Illinois three-and-out and then struck quickly with Weber racing 43 yards to make it 21-0, just 10 minutes into the first quarter.

The Buckeyes made it four touchdowns on four possessions when Barrett found Binjimen Victor for 11 yards. 28-0, OSU – still in the first quarter.

Freshman linebacker Pete Werner laid the lick of the game on the ensuing kickoff when he blasted the Illini's Kendrick Foster. Good on you, young man.

After being held to a field goal on their fifth drive, OSU was back in business on their next possession, going 53 yards in 8 plays and finishing with this J.K. Dobbins power run up the middle to put the Buckeyes up 38-0. They'd take that lead to the locker room at the half.

With the second-team offense in during the 3rd quarter, backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins had a fumble get away from him. Illinois Ahmari Hayes scooped it up and went 54 yards to kill the shutout.

Freshman Jeffrey Okudah got his name on the scoresheet in a big way on Ohio State's ensuing possession. On a Drue Chrisman punt, Illinois' Nate Hobbs fumbled the return after being hit by Elijaah Goins with Okudah there to scoop up the fumble.

Ohio State would take advantage of the turnover when Barrett, back in at quarterback, found tight end and fellow senior Marcus Baugh on this nifty throwback for a 12-yard touchdown. It was now 45-7, Buckeyes.

The blowout meant the youth movement received plenty of snaps. Here's Jonathon Cooper recording his second sack of the afternoon.

Ohio State's final points of the game came on a beautiful 21-yard touchdown toss from Haskins to Victor.
