Freshman Tracker: J.K. Dobbins Finds the End Zone and a Host of Defenders See Time Versus Illinois

He wasn't quite as electric as we've seen in previous weeks but J.K. Dobbins still carried the flag for Ohio State's true freshman class in a 52-14 shellacking of Illinois.

Dobbins rushed for 51 yards including a 1-yard touchdown plunge pushing Ohio State in front of the Illini 38-0 last in the second quarter and also added a 14-yard reception.

With the game in hand, Urban Meyer allowed the reserves extended minutes in the second half and Jeffrey Okudah made the most of it registering a season-high four stops with a fumble recovery.

Reserve linebacker Pete Werner made just one tackle but it was a high-impact collision on kickoff return as he continues to show a mean streak on special teams.

The full rundown of true freshmen contributions versus the Illini along with season-to-date stats are below.
