In case you missed it, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh responded to some comments made by Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith with a not-so-subtle tweet Tuesday night.
As expected, some former Ohio State players saw Harbaugh's tweet and immediately took it upon themselves to respond to the coach they hung a 42-13 loss on last season — Harbaugh's first in Ann Arbor.
Here is former Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott, who torched Harbaugh's vaunted defense to the tune of 214 yards last November:
Former linebacker Darron Lee was similarly annoyed. Apparently winning a football national championship two seasons ago didn't count as being "relevant."
And former wide receiver Michael Thomas' signature tagline is trending all over Columbus:
Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Branden Bowen was stunned by the whole thing:
Former Buckeyes, most of whom now have jobs within Ohio's sports media scene, also had some thoughts.
The Scarlet and Gray reaction wasn't limited to just football:
It's unlikely that Urban Meyer will return the volley, but there's no doubt that he's heard about the latest shenanigans from Ann Arbor.
