Ohio State Defensive End Joey Bosa Named Finalist For Lombardi Award

For the second-straight season, Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa has been named a finalist for the Lombardi Award, given to the best lineman or linebacker in college football.

Other finalists include Penn State's Carl Nassib, Clemson's Shaq Lawson and Texas A&M's Myles Jack. Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright was the last season's winner. 

So far this season, Bosa recorded four sacks and 15 tackles for loss for the third-ranked Buckeyes. Bosa is the current active leader in tackles for loss with 49.5 and ranks second among active players in career sacks with 25.

Ohio State has six former Lombardi Award winners, tops in the country. Previous winners include Jim Stillwagon (1970), John Hicks (1973), Chris Spielman (1987), Orlando Pace (1995, 1996) and A.J Hawk (2005).

The 2015 Lombardi Award presentation is Dec. 9 in Houston, Texas.
