Cardale Jones Officially Named Backup Quarterback

In the follow-up scrum to Urban's presser at Big Ten media days, the burning question of who will replace the Smooth Sensation was answered. Cardale Jones has risen above J.T. Barrett and Stephen Collier to secure the spot.

With Braxton Miller's injury history, the odds are good Cardale could see action this fall. The 6'5" 250 lbs three-star recruit from Glenville threw only two passes in the 2013 campaign (completing one, for three yards).

It's been a long road (and maturation process) for Cardale, but it looks like his labors are finally yielding dividends.
