Ohio State earned a hard-fought big road win over Illinois.
By beating the Illini 87-81, Ohio State moved to 11-3 overall, with a 5-3 Big Ten record, which is good for fourth place in the conference.
E.J. Liddell paced the Buckeyes with a career-high 26 points to go with seven rebounds, while Harvard transfer Seth Towns played his most important minutes as a Buckeye, adding 11 points off the bench.
