The Big Ten named Ohio State forward Kaleb Wesson the Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Last week, in an effort capitalized by a 25-point victory over Wisconsin in Madison, Wesson averaged 17 points and 4 rebounds.

He also:

• Shot 65 percent for the week, going 11-17 from the field including 2-2 on 3-pointers
• 10-12 on free throws
• 19 points on 6-9 shooting at Wisconsin

The last Ohio State basketball to be named Freshman of the Week was JaQuan Lyle in January of 2016.
