Go Bucks, beat TTUN. It's time.
"Khajiit has wares if you have the coin."
Can they handle the PRESSURE?? For some reason you can almost feel their throat tightening...
Can who handle the pressure ? The Coaches or the players.
I’d see it being more the former than the latter re: pressure handling, in particular when it comes to the game plan and play calling.
Dude - comment was in re: THEM.
They have played at Penn St. They have played at Michigan St. I think what you really mean is can YOU and these other Ohio State fans handle the pressure. Ohio State fans are the ones putting the most pressure on this team and for you to sit there on your couch and question if they can handle the pressure is ridiculous on the highest level.
I bleed scarlet...literally
I'm not sure there's much pressure when they've been looking forward to this game all year long.
There is no toxorrow.
Everybody wants to be heard, and the easiest way to be the loudest is to be the hater
I’ll take it.
Buckeye fans need to bring everything they’ve got to the Shoe this weekend. This needs to be louder than 2006.

Louder than 02'
2016 was the loudest I've ever heard.
The only good thing about The Game is winning it - Urban Meyer
Surprised the line isn't higher even with Chase W out; I thought it would be about 6 points. Bet it moves up before game time.
He is going to play. No way he misses
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
That's what we all said about John Simon.
"It's always scotch-thirty on my island."
I thought it would be 35. They added a decimal point by mistake. /s
Ohio State is undefeated under Urban Meyer as an underdog. Take it FWIW
Also 30-0 in games that kick off at noon since the start of the 2012 season.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. ~ Mark Twain
It’s better to be underdogs than favorites.
Good. We have them right where we want them.
Good. The disrespect is real. Meyer is a master in this position.
Bet the line grows.
And I ax fine with that.
This week is all there is.
No playoff talk.
Just beat Xeat Chicken
It will grow. Everybody and their brother will be throwing money at Ttun this week. Vegas will want some Bickeye cash too. People wont think the Bucks can keep it within a field goal.
Gotta love it.
Perfect. It’s all going according to plan.
Fields of Dreams
And, speaking of plan: the domino effect began with WVU losing Saturday, opening the door for the Bucks to move up. Though at this time not sure why we would want to face anyone else in the top 4. BUT- if we beat the Wolverines, AND Wildcats, and are given 5 weeks to prepare, after the committee puts us in-WHO KNOWS, RIGHT?
And, concerning TTUN "Revenge Tour"-this is our payback time, for all the years we fans suffered through the 90's with Cooper teams losing to inferior maize and blue teams. Everything on paper, and the "eye test" tells me we should not win this Saturday. But, _ichigan beat us when they shouldn't have.
Glad we are 10-1, looking to go 11-1.
JI row end 78
Just beat TTUN please
"The future is bright at Ohio State." - Urban Meyer 1/1/15
I want to beat Michigan, win the B1G, but have Oklahoma head to the playoffs. A pissed off 12-1 team then crushes someone (WSU?) in the Rose Bowl and brings most of its major pieces back for a title run next year.
I'm with you BrutusB. Sorry to the rest of the overly optimistic bunch, but if the Men od tje Scarlet and Gray struggle with Maryland in late November, they're likely to play more like OSU-Clemson 2016 than OSU-Bama 2014.
NorCal Buckeye: OSU struggled in 2014 with Minnesota, and Indiana immediately before the UM game. I'd like to see what your comments were back then too...
"When you're part of a team, you stand up for your teammates. Your loyalty is to them. You protect them through good and bad, because they'd do the same for you." Yogi Berra
We have a great QB and good athletes. Anything can happen and I wouldn't bet against Meyer just yet.
Urban Meyer >Jim Harbaugh for ever and ever, Amen. 0
Hope it grows......more fuel. Fans need to bring their A game too
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret, take your pick
Greatest. Gif. Ever.
And, Meyer is not the same coach as in other underdog games. He is struggling both physically and emotionally. He looked like he was going to die on the sideline vs Maryland. So, with that said, the team from up north by 10.
This guy is either a ttun troll or just a negative person in general. My pop yo must be a blast at party's, NOT!
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
for some reason there is no option to give this post an appropriate vote....
Love it. Bulletin board material for extra motivation to this team. Go Bucks!
I just bet the house, the 401k and the life savings on the Buckeyes. I am all in and if anyone else is not then please leave now.
You can't tell the difference between rooting for a team and objectively picking a winner? I'll be rooting for OSU as hard as anyone but objectively I'd bet on Michigan especially at -3.5
You made a stupid bet.
3X NC HC, more 4 and 5 stars, better QB and at home.
I bet Corso even picks Buckeyes.
BH7, I hope Corso picks the wolverweenies. Last xinute xotivation. and of course the entire Gaxe Day panel will pick xichigan as well.
This is when Urban is at his best. Plus, we dont know if this guy DE is 100% for Saturday!
Those are homer pick reasons all day long. "more 4 and 5 stars" are you kidding me with that. How about our defense has played like trash while theirs is one of the top few defenses in the nation. That doesn't count for anything?
As my fellow commenter '94 says: LOL
I don't know what you're talking about I applied for line of credit to have some extra cash to bet on this game
Anyone not ready to raise some hell I will gladly purchase your tickets, will be no down in the front this weekend.
I'll be there to hold you and 105,000+ to that!
Good, fuel. This is it. For the coaches, the players, everyone. This is what it comes down to.
About right. Predicting a high scoring game. Would be curious what the O/U is.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man whose quiver is full, he shall not be afraid, but shall speak with the enemies at the gate. Psalm 127
Im anxious to see our Offense vs. their Defense. It's like water and oil, they're not gonna mix and someone will be on top!
TBH, I am terrified of what their DEs are going to do to Prince. I am just hoping that he nuts up and proves why he was elected as a Captain
Those who say they can and those who say they can't are both right. Which one are you?
Trying to be objective here (I'm a Michigan guy), your pass offense is the real deal, no doubt about that. If our D-line can get to Haskins, then that will be a problem for you guys. Keep Haskins on his feet and that is a game changer. I think your run game is good, not great, and our run D is pretty darn good. So that's probably a push.
I think the bigger variables are your D vs. our Offense. We're a good ball control offense, but not without our problems. Can you guys stuff our run? You have tons of talent but as I mentioned last week, I think you have cancer in that club house and it begins at the top. I see people here complaining about your linebackers, but the problem isn't the athletes, its the coaching, or lack thereof, that is the issue. Has the defensive play been trending upwards for you these last few weeks? Can you fix a last few issues/holes this week?
The game should be exciting for any college football fan. No blow out either way, more of a barn burner. Hopefully our turn this year, but that's why they play games, right?
I'm not sure why you are downvoted except for being a TTUN fan. Those all seem like solid takes. I hope we can fix all the mistakes we have seen week to week.

Learning to navigate this site. All I can see is a "+8 HS", I guess that's a net score given your comment?
If you look at our year versus yours, its no surprise we're favored. But the differences aren't as dramatic as some want to make out (my side, included) and emotion will make a difference. Its good to remember two things:
1. the Citadel was kicking to take the LEAD against 'bama yesterday, in Tuscaloosa. In the second half. You'd have a better chance of guessing the Megamillions lottery number than you would have of predicting that yesterday.
2. The transitive property is almost completely worthless in college football, i.e., you had this score vs. Team A, while we had a better/worse score against Team A, therefore you can extrapolate from there. Kind of works in the pros, more of a science. Does not work in college ball. That's one of the things that makes college football the single best viewing (and playing) sport.
Completely agree with everything you said. I intentionally left out commenting on our defense because it's been a joke. I usually see people blaming the coaches more than the players.
Anyway, I appreciate level headed, realistic football banter. You're not a bad guy even though you root for the wrong team.
No, our defense hasn't been improving (as far as I can see) and yes, Haskins is legit. The ttun secondary hasn't been tested like they're going to be on Saturday. That's the key to the game because I guarantee that our defense gives up points on 7/10 drives.
Michigan needs TDs when they get to the red zone. 6 times in the red zone vs Indiana, 6 field goals. If anything like that happens again, Michigan will lose big.
Hey man, you're being a very reasonable fan, which is good any other time EXCEPT this week :D.
good point about the post on the biggest difference between college and pro football, EMOTIONS. a sense of pride and belonging, knowing that you'll forever be linked to a particular school and therefore wanting to put in that extra effort, motivation, passion, and fire into the team and games. The "cancer" you are referring to is Nick Bosa for quitting the team and how that has permeated through the locker room. In a year where there are no legitimate leader(s) on the team, he was it. The best player, perhaps in the country. Quit the team.
18-22 years old kids are impressionable. They watch and see the actions of the most influential players, and mimic them. How many of these kids will put in that extra effort when the best player and captain just quit. the. team. Because he wants to "protect his draft status and millions". This has nothing to do with it's his right and no one can say anything. It has everything to do with how it impacts the rest of the team.
here's hoping that the team can come together and say, Fck quitters. We will unite and show the quitter that winners don't quit. Let's come together for the most important game and use this as a springboard to a dominant next season without all the distractions and bullsh*t.
GO BUCKS. BEAT TTUN!
Bosa did NOT quit. Repeat did not quit.
Yes he did. He could be here but left. That is quitting.
"Great moments are born from great opportunities." - Herb Brooks
Glad to hear your objective comments.
On the surface, OSU just isn’t a very good team despite its record. From the get go, problems at the top, followed by Bosa’s injury, followed by coach headaches/tumor statement. Posters here debate the coaches’ and players’ capabailities, but we are very young and are probably feeling the effects defensively of several first round and coaching tree departures over the past 4 years. Listening to the fan base here, the sky is falling. It feels that way because we just don’t play at the level that top 5 recruiting classes are expected to play. If we stop and rewind what many beat writers opined at the beginning of the season, this could have been a 3-4 loss regular season with watch outs against TCU, PSU, MSU, Purdue and TTUn. (Yes Purdue - the place is a house of horrors for OSU dating back to drew brees)
So many of us expected at least a 7 point spread which rounds down to 3.5 for the favorite on the road in a rivalry game.
Beyond Vegas , Why would you blue have any doubt ? I have several coworkers from ttun and they are more concerned about your red zone FG tendency. Another thing they are concerned with is the mental obstacle of OSU owning them over the last 18 years, especially in COL. Then with Winovich at less than 100% , or out altogether, there will be a void (see Bosa comment above).
Our defensive inconsistencies and inability to start strong are well chronicled, and I think that most OSU fans believe that your game day coaching and your preparation is superior to ours. So it feels like it’s shaping up to be a game that might not follow the script on paper as the committee sees things through their “eye test”.
In college football I don't think past games effect present performance very much at all, so in that respect I don't put too much stock in worrying about how 20-22 yr old kids perceive games from prior years - they weren't paying that much attention back then and are too focused on the task at hand to be preoccupied by it. I would add that I speak from at least some personal experience on that one.
Like many Michigan fans I wasn't too pleased with our kicking of FG's in the red zone on Saturday. However, I do hold out some hope that part of that was impacted by two things. One was that we didn't want to put anything on tape. I'm not saying we've got the razzle-dazzle play to end all plays, but there are some variations and opening up of the playbook that I suspect we kept under wraps. The second one is that our very talented field goal kicker has the shanks. Bad. So we used our kick off guy instead for the very first time and he was perfect and the size sample was huge. I would add that if I was your special teams coach I'd be working on big up the middle push b/c the kick off guy has a big leg...but a lower than normal trajectory on kicks. None of you are OSU coaches, right?
Nope , none of us roam the sidelines but there are a lot of very astute former college football players - yours truly being one ( former player - not astute - don’t want hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back)
I disagree with you completely about players not having certain teams in their heads over time. OSU players know that Purdue is our Achilles heal.
If you haven’t beaten a team in three attempts and this is your fourth and final shot, you don’t think that’s in your head ? (See OSU v. Ttun in the Cooper era - Orlando Pace , Eddie George, Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, Antoine Winfield, Shawn Springs - couldn’t overcome the mental barrier)
From what I have seen with UM, stop their run game, then they struggle to score. Patterson is decent but he is not Haskins' level, so if we can shut down the run, or at least contain it somewhat, then I think UM will struggle, at least for a half. The real question is can we pass the ball against UM. I know Haskins can do it but can our OL give him enough time the have clean pockets to throw out of, but the caveat here is if OSU can get the run game going finally after 12 games, then I think this UM team will be in a bind, sell out on the run and possibly get beat down field, or cover deep and give up more YPC.
"You got barbecue back there? Hurt my feelings!"
Your D line will definitely get to Haskins. C. Winovich (who I hope will play) is the real deal and is going to be going against I. Prince who will have approximately 4 false starts this game. Our D is atrocious and our linebackers run straight to the line on play action. Even though talent wise they are identical the defensive coaching is not. I think our offense will struggle and our defense will not make any adjustments until after halftime. The only hope is that we keep it close enough to that point.
Even if Bosa stayed, he probably wouldn't be playing on Saturday. At first I was upset, but he is trying to recover. I would guess if he could have stayed and just dropped classes, he would still be on the team. I believe he felt school work and rehab would be too much.
Prince will probably add in a couple false starts. However many Pridgeon has +1.
Even if Prince fails miserably and repeatedly.... he won't be replaced unless there's a compound fracture. Not wishing any negative but it's frustrating when "Starter" is carved in stone on September 1. Playing time should be based on effectively getting the job done.
Right. Where. We. Want. To. Be.
A bit surprised it isn't more. Toughest "D" we faced all year and an better than norm "O" than UM has fielded in recent years. Hopefully DH and the offense can conquer their "D" and our "D" can step it up and have their best game of the year . . . they are over due.
Minus 3.5 ?
Michigan seems to be the one getting the disrespect.
Too much time spent at the North Heidelberg rather than the classroom. SSD 68-72
Is that points or TDs?
New York Buckeye
Michigan getting disrespect? Not at all. Home field advantage is definitely worth something. It is very difficult for teams to win in the Horseshoe. Even more so for Michigan. Michigan has sucked this century. Ever sense Tressel, TOSU has completely had Michigan's number. You're right that there is pressure: Harbaugh's career and future, along with Michigan's really rest on this game. If TOSU loses, well, they had an off year and needed to change some things. If TOSU wins, it shows Harbaugh is a choke job and Michigan doesn't have what it takes. Michigan has a lot more to win and lose in this game than TOSU.
I respectfully disagree. OSU has everything to lose in this game!
I'm with Blu on this, Michigan definitely has more to lose.
This is the first year since the playoffs began where Michigan both (a) has a shot at getting into the playoffs and (b) is the apparent superior team in their matchup with Ohio State (2016 was more of an even contest, with a slight edge to Ohio State). If Harbaugh doesn't win this one, he might never beat Ohio State, and while he won't be on the hot seat per se (no one ever gets fired after a 10-2 regular season, unless they're Mark Richt), the hype will be gone for good, because then Michigan/Harbaugh couldn't even kick Ohio State/Meyer when they're "down," and he'll be an abysmal 0-4 against his archrival
"porque las estirpes condenadas a cien años de soledad no tenían una segunda oportunidad sobre la tierra."
Not sure who has more to lose, but I think Michigan has more to gain.
I would have guessed 9 points. We have looked lost and unprepared too damned often. Never bet on the Buckeyes games. Will be thrilled if we manage a 1 point win. Unless Haskins has some untold Linebackers skills...
Hope for the best. Anything is possible, even if entirely unlikely.
Unless Haskins has some untold Linebackers skills
lol funny and smart
We should have Richter scale loudness in the shoe ! The Buckeyes need you.
"Vitalum Vitalis "
Should of, would of, could of. Would love to hear it the old Buckeye way.
Ohio State is ranked 2nd in the country in total yards behind Oklahoma. When they lost to Purdue they still out gained Purdue in yards. The main problem was touchdowns in the red zone and defense. If Michigan sticks to their average of 36.6 points a game, Ohio State just has to get touchdowns on every red zone trip and its an easy win.
Since Purdue, the red zone offense has improved quite a bit, for what it's worth.
Ranked 119 out of 129 in red zone efficiency. If somehow the pendulum swings the other way, we win.
And turnovers- just like the Maryland game.
I Hate Michigan.
Surprised they aren't favored by 21, even in Columbus. I hope our defense proves me wrong.
We need all the fuel we can throw on the fire possible!
Burn the boats!
I wanted the spread to be higher, so we can really enjoy kicking their asses all the way back to Ann Arbor.
Get off our lawn!
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.
Fuck those guys..urban better have these guys ready, I know that team will be..
Allow the disrespect to fuel focus and passion and anger. I hope the media embraces TTUN this week. Play angry!
I work with people who moved in from all over the country and went to a lot of different colleges, and the overwhelming sentiment I get from them is, "we are all rooting for TTUN because we are tired of #$#%^ Ohio State and $%$##* Urban Meyer, the domestic-abuse enabler."
Man, I hope they are all disappointed just one more year.
Success - it's what you do with what you've got. - Woody Hayes
Wow! They didn't seem to integrate into Ohio society very well.
For the record, my company is within Cincinnati city limits, which isn't integrated well into Ohio State Society (sadly).
Unfortunately, a lot of people hated Urban Meyer before the Zach Smith mess solely because Meyer is successful. Many hate Ohio State for the same reason. They have for decades. The mess just gave them a justifiable reason to hate Meyer and Ohio State more, even though I firmly believe that Ohio State and Meyer in no way condone domestic violence, albeit there was a serious lack of oversight on the actions of Zach Smith and his behavior.
But enough of that, on to THE GAME!!!
I'd rather be a minute early than an hour early, 'cause I like to procrastinate.
Everyone hates Urban except Ohio State fans.
Everyone hates Saban but Bama fans.
Everyone hates Dabo but Clemson fans.
Nobody hates Lovie Smith or Chris Ash.
See a pattern here?
Typical Florida fan:
"I hate Urban Meyer because he cheated Florida and faked sickness".
My standard response:
"Well, he actually was hospitalized, then came back for another year. He took a year off and then went back to Ohio, where he's from. Coaches change jobs all the time. What's the problem with him returning home?"
(Never a real answer).
Well? They can all move out of Ohio, and don’t let the door hit them in the rear on the way out.
Sounds about right in my opinion. I’m staying away becaus I can see it going either way
2x account suspension survivor
Bring it on.
(yeah, easy for me to say)
Is this Michigan defense better than 2016? 2017? I do not think so. Their back 7 can be beat
In reverse...this is the best OSU offense they have brought in since probably 2015
If day dials up some vertical strikes, OSU wins. If they play that chicken shit horizontal pass game, we lose big. Ttun is too fast at LB to consistently beat them on the boundary. Gotta be over the top
"In reverse...this is the best OSU offense they have brought in since probably 2015"
Agreed, but can we eliminate the turnovers and penalties? And can we stop a fake punt just one time?
It's definitely better than 2017. Michigan was inexperienced/young in 2017. Didn't have the depth they have now at D-line.
The past has zero to do with the betting line this year. As does Meyer's 6-0 underdog record.
This OSU team has a pathetic defense and in big games defense wins. Anyone betting OSU is throwing their money away.
First of all Meyer is not right. He refuses to bench the crappy players. His team plays stupid undisciplined football. The coaching staff is clueless at making adjustments or calling correct plays. We know his health is bad.
There is little home field advantage when 30000 old farts sit on their sorry butts the entire game.UCF and their 44000 fans are louder than the Horseshoe.
Agree with the home field advantage...this year especially there seems to be no connection or verbal support for this team from the crowd. Spoiled? Bought into the media crap whatever. I would be shocked for this crowd to help much and wouldn't be surprised if there weren't even boos at the scUM game from "our" crowd for our team.
throwing their money away? you don't know
been watching this game since the late 60's... it's never about which team is better, more talented, higher ranked, or FAVORED
this game is about the team that wants it the most...
All xichigan needs to do is find a kid with a terminal disease and make the media narrative about his last wish being a win for ttun. Then they will win by at least three touchdowns. It’s worked for Iowa and Purdue.
I say as bad as this defense is for God's sakes just run the bear defense and see what happens against Patterson.
Fuck eSECpn and fuck Mythigan.
looking at our linebacker placement of late, looks like we're already going with the bear defense
The LBs move slower than a bear. Its disgusting how slow they are
Bears are fast
Question ... what type of bear is best?
My main mannDwight.
Best thing that could happen, at least OSU might show up motivated. D still is looking awful. Until last year, Meyer's teams had never given up more than 47, but its now happened 3 times the last 2 years.
Didn't they give up 49 to Indiana in 2012?
Tom Brady lost to John Cooper. Never forget.
Correct, article I had read from the Iowa game had the stats wrong. Nice catch.
Let's get ready to rumble!
Bleed Scarlet & Grey For Life
I’ll take the points. Screw you blue we win outright. Go Bucks Beat that trash up north. That’s what ttun stands for right?
My local guy told me he already has 10-1 money on Michigan and has not even offered the money line yet. He told he might have to go to Vegas and lay some of it off so he does not take a huge beat if Michigan covers.
No one can possibly want to back this OSU defense with any money.
This Urban Meyer guys just seems to keep winning though. I'll take the 3.5
I’ll give you 3.5 and OSU for $100 if you’d like? This defense is so awful all Michigan has to do is make a few stops and this game is over. I hate to say it cuz I love our Buckeyes but that’s the way I see it.
MichaelJ - If I didn't already have a bookie to bet through, you would have yourself a deal.
I hope to god we win outright and you win too. I have zero faith in that defense though.
Good. I wish it were 7. The players need to know that everyone is expecting them to lose. Maybe that will light a fire under their asses
I've considered plenty of scenarios where a player not named Haskins takes over this game or at least goes beast mode on crucial drive.
So far, I'm out on the defense. Just can't see it happening. On offense, my gut instincts of Weber and McLaurin are nicked up at current and -- honestly -- who knows this year.
11Ws, I submit: Drue Chrisman. If the Sparty model can somehow be replicated (maybe not the shank), then I think even this vintage of D could slow down any offense (see: Terps one drive that started within the10-yard line).
I'm not saying TTUN gets held to field goals, but Tresselball may be the way. That's the best I got at the moment.
Or -- Campbell could explode and go all McFarland. Either way...
Makes sense (advance stats + home field advantage + Meyer psychology degree)
New Day for OSU. Same noon for TTUN.
Urban can play the underdog card for the first time in almost four years. He knows they have what it takes to win. Its different when you are favored by double digits every week and need to motivate your players. Let's see how this team responds to the disrespect.
Meyer is out of it this year. His health has rendered him clueless. Why else would he not bench the crappy players Why does this team play stupid all the time. The play calling is idiotic. He has no clue this year. Its sad how bad he is.
This is so true. Motivation is an underrated concept especially at this level. It can be mentally draining on 18-22 year olds to bring their best effort every week against double digit underdogs who are preparing to play like it's their Super Bowl. Flip that around and I like our chances as a home underdog.
AKA the Horseshoe, the Shoe, and the House That Harley Built
Underdog in our house? I hope Urban can work his magic.
Gooooooood. Prepare for the biggest week of your young lives. Then go take what's yours - this is our house!
Embrace the underdog role
It is time!!!!!
Sounds about right. We can only hope for the underdog to come out biting. Can we beat scux yes! Will we beat scux...different story. I do know this...throw out the record books...its rivalry week!!! I remember the days of Cooper. We were always in the driver seat and always the better team. I say that to say this,,,I would not be surprised to see the Buckeyes come out on top. Go Bucks!!! The hatred continues. If we come out fast and score I will be more comfortable. If we dont looong afternoon.
+1. Probably the best gif I've seen on 11W.
What the shit is this
We can't stop here; this is bat country...

Silver: IMO we should remind ourselves that the best/most misleading post... is the one with 'some' truth in it... that omits 'the rest of the story.'
Some examples from your example: WHO LEAD the Marines into the Chosen Reservoir area? WHO said 'the Chinese will not... uh, are not... 'entering the war police action'? WHO fed/supplied 'his' army on the Yellow Sea side... by stripping resources & resupply from our forces on the Sea of Japan side?
And most of all... who were left on their own to clean up the deadly mess created by... 'leadership'? Agree 'sarge' is an good example here.
Call me crazy, but i believe Maryland has better athletes on offense than xichigan. Did you see how fast those guys were? They had a couple of freshman that were great, their running back was fast and physical and that QB was a play maker. To me, Maryland looks faster on offense than xichigan. Also, they were yet another Super Bowl team we had to play at their house.
Defense wise, that team we hate is tough but Haskins is on a roll. He was animated, physical and played like a man on a mission. Ditto for Dobbins. OSU had nearly impossible odds to win that game. Haskins literally took the team on his back and willed them to win. Urban also has to maintain that hyper up tempo, it seems to work.
At the Shoe, xichigan favored, everybody hates us. Perfect. I like our chances. GO Buckeyes ! Send those north boys home crying.
I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I'm trying to win football games-- Woody Hayes
Totally agree with you on scUM offense being above average but not great. I want Chase young to be the final seconds Chase Young all game long. Malik Harrison needs to play every snap.
And I would love to see every position group come up with 2 completely new plays each quarter. Enough with the Dave on firsg down. Ain’t gonna work.
I have scUM 42-10.
Not even watching it
What a crappy whiny fan
To me the most heartening thing about winning in Maryland was that we pulled it out and were in it until the end - we didn't roll over and get trounced like we let Iowa and Purdue beat us. This seems like a pretty reasonable line - the .5 is the kicker though.
Wahoo! Wahoo! Rip, Zip, Bazoo! I Yell. I Yell. For O.S.U.
This game is more important than whatever bowl game we go too (since we are not going to the playoffs) I hope the players feel the same way.
"Come on, you sons of b!tches! Do you want to live forever?" -- Dan Daly, WWI
Throw out the records and the video of the season. This will be a game of momentum, guts and the unexpected. We could easily lose by 20 and we could win by the same amount. It's Rivalry Week!!
If you hate, if you doubt, if you deceive this team...especially during this week...exit to the north and go F&(k Yourself. You can be realistic and a true fan at the same time.
Go Bucks...Screw the Blue... Harbaugh eat his own booger’s instead of chicken, just ask him
Hard Work and Good Decisions
My life motto is "plan for the worst hope for the best." The deck is completely stacked against us this year, but I will still hope for a miracle.
Stay Spicy my friends!
Schiano, whatever your game plan is. Change it 20 minutes before the game rather than at halftime.
Please bring the 4th quarter Buckeyes out of the tunnel
Please, please, please make adjustments sooner like you said. There is no reason is should take until halftime to figure this out. I think this will be key to the game.
I agree. (Schiano) Decide what's best and we will do the opposite. An amazing change would be for Urban to realize the buck stops on his desk and he should spend 70% of the game worried about defensive issues and corrective decisions. No I will talk to Greg at halftime and hope. Over coffee Saturday morning - tell GS it's halftime now. Adjust and improve. Ryan Day with assistance from Wilson will be fine calling the plays. Address the weakness and vulnerabilities.
Good luck. More of the same is the Wrong path.
The Buckeyes may not be scoring a lot of points, given TTUN's defense. That means it's even more crucial for the team to NOT FALL BEHIND EARLY!
play containment defense. don't give up big plays earlier. feel out the other team. let the defensive players make a few tackles and get warmed up first. Don't come with the "rushmen package" on every down! it hasn't worked all season.
If the Buckeyes can play 3-4 defensive series without allowing big plays, the team will win. several 10-15 yards are fine. just not the 35+ yard plays. That's demoralizing, especially against this team. This Defense hasn't exactly been standing on concrete foundation, mentally, all season.
13-0 and a chance to go 14-0
In another universe ttun still sucks...
Earn this... Beat clemson.
Here’s the obligatory Urban as an underdog no way, this is the week coaches have been saving plays, just what the team needed, you don’t wanna mess with an Urban coached team who is pissed off and angry, that fire the boys up the disrespect I feel sorry for the other team, ichigan sucks and overrated, reminds me of year x and x,Harbaugh will choke, ichigan hasn’t played anyone, neither has Alabama or The 85 bears, media hates OSU,espn hates OSU,espn loves SEC,the refs suck,if Tate plays OSU wins.
If I missed any please feel free to add. Did I mention the whole pissed off and angry team thing?Because it’s gonna happen last game of season.
Well, we were all hoping for one of these "plays" when Braxton Miller was a receiver. Surely he will pass, no, this week, no, we must be saving it to surprise Michigan. Nope, never happened.
So far they don't seem to have the plays they should know down pat, at least on defense.
My "hope" for this games stems from 2015, we just "Got By" then lost at home on a cold, rainy, miserable night to MSU. Then we came back and played up to our potential.
As far as coaches vs players, Schiano has been around a couple years now. Other guys caught on in the past and improved over the course of the year. These guys just don't seem to get it, same for the LB's.
And what is the deal with the O line and the running game?
the longest week of the year
is it saturday morning yet
Thank the Maker that I was born in Ohio, cradle of coaches, US Presidents, confederate-stomping Generals, and home of The Ohio State University Football Buckeyes- 2014 UNDISPUTED National Champions!
3.5 should be more like 35
Any true Buckeye fan is 100% into this week right now. Nothing matters what happened all year. Doesn't matter if we are 10-1 or 1-10, it's Xichigan week and we no longer care about anything but what happens this Saturday. If you are concerned with breaking down similar opponents, stats, etc from this season then I would be willing to guess you were born after 1990. Nothing matters any more other than sending Harbaugh north on I-75 wondering if he is going to have a job come next Monday.
Will this be the game that kills Urban Meyer?
Looked like he was in a LOT of pain on the sideline against a very average Maryland team...
This fan base is evidently inexperienced with the game pre-urban and have turned into a bunch of stinking gaping pussies.
Its more like that defense plays like sissies. Its hard to imagine the coaches keep sending the same crappy players back out on the field. 51 points should tell you a few of these guys should never see the field again in our lifetime.
While i agree, this has nothing to do with this rivalry game.
I'm telling you. Substitute Ohio State fans for Rutgers fans and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
I hope Haskins can overcome TTUN's the Buckeye defense.
I literally would not be surprised by anything. Michigan isn’t as good as advertised, but the problem is “how good are we?” I’m not positive if the back 7 is underperforming or just don’t have it in them. I’m guessing it is the former, but if you can’t figure it out mentally until now, can it get better? Offense was rocking last week, can we do it against a stout defense and pressure? I am not betting on this game. If we win by 20 or lose by 20 or in between, I could see why.
Well well here we are right before our yearly huge rivalry game. Defense has looked horrible, Schiano needs fired but Meyer's showing loyalty again. Seems every game we play lately we let a freshmen have a career day against us, and the rest of the team has a career day against us! They have 200 yards rushing in the first quarter and Schiano does nothing to stop them the rest of the game. Maryland had us beat except they missed a wide wide open receiver in the end zone on last play. He sucks period. Defense has tanked further and further into the abyss since the departure of Fickell . With that said the offense has shown signs of life recently and Victor actually did something in a game when it count's instead of practice like we heard about for the last two years. We don't need six great receivers we need two that get open all the time. and we need to use the tight ends. Five to ten yard them to death!! Then rip one down the field. Let's see some of that track speed we are suppose to have. If we play from behind we get beat. But if we jump out early and quit setting records on penalties we might have a chance. It remains to be seen if we can come together as a Team or we play as individuals. I blame this solely on coaching. We are also going to have to get some real pressure on Patterson. He will make some bad decisions if pressured. Lastly we are going to have to stop beating ourselves when we bring in Tate Martell. We haven't even got to really see what he can do because every time we bring him in we have a stupid penalty or mistake. This is our house, this is our championship. LET'S MAN UP!!!! GO BUCK'S!!!!
Defense has tanked further and further into the abyss since the departure of Fickell
And most definitely Coombs.
My take is that there is no one in control of the defense. Schiano might be officially in charge, but Grinch was a DC himself. In the middle you have Bill Davis, who is not stepping up to the job. Taver Johnson has not impressed. Larry Johnson is the rare gem.
At least when Chris Ash was here everyone knew who the boss of the defense was. Now it's defense by committee. Doesn't work.
Nothing negative from me this week, nothing blue will be worn, tOSU gear will be worn every single day (fuck the dress code at work, I'm wearing my tOSU gear) I shall root for my Buckeyes and pray we beat the heathens from that state up north that is never uttered under my roof.
GO FOR TWO BECAUSE WE CAN'T GO FOR THREE AND GO BUCKS!!!
This is JMO but Meyer's looked like he was in some pain on side line. I just don't think he feel's good enough to make coaching changes this late in the season. After the first quarter and the gashing the defense took he should have ran down to Schiano and said YOUR FIRED !!!! Instead I think he's just gonna ride out the rest of the year and he will retire after the season. Too much hands on the forehead and squinting of the eyes, and looking like he can't believe what just happen. Even though it has happened all season long. He don't talk or act like the Meyer we are used to. I wish him the best and I hope this team can find away to send him out on a high note but I just don't see him coming back next year. Hope I'm wrong but I think this is why we are enduring this pitiful defense.
Hail to the Sphincters...
I was at the MD game and was shocked at how slow and how out of position the back 7 looked. The defensive line will have to play the game of their lives and the offensive line will have to give Haskins time to throw. If that happens, and the weather is good, we can win.
