I don't know. I'm enjoying OSU games as individual seasons, since they seem to have the same ups and downs.
No one wants Bama, no matter what they say. They trashed a very good team in their own back yard. I don't think LSU is the second best team in the nation, but are those that can vie for that title (Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia, ETC) 27 points better than LSU? I'm not so sure.
I think this season is one where I want OSU to win every remaining game it plays like every other year, I just don't see how they compete outside of the Big Ten with the gaping holes they have in their foundation. Beat MSU, beat Maryland, Beat Michigan, win in Indy, get slighted by the committee and win a bowl game. That's sort of where I am. That's 5 more maddening, enjoyable, sad, exciting, weird games left.
I pride myself on my unabashed OSU arrogance but I can't muster it this year.
Proudly dispensing unbridled arrogance since 1983.
Yeah, I figured that I made the right call by using a "<" in lieu of the more commonly known conjunction, a comma. Thank you sir for helping rescue me from my state of delusion.
IMO, LSU is a good team but very one dimensional. Their offense has a fair bit to be desired. Even with the love Burrow's gets, they are not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch and they were exposed by a good Alabama defense.
Their defense is pretty solid and it seemed, watching that game, that they were on the field quite a bit and just got worn down. It felt quite a bit like the Clemson vs OSU game in the playoff. The offense was doing nothing and the defense could not do it all.
Alabama is a great team. I do think they can be beat but it would take the best effort of a team like Clemson t odo it. OSU should be in the conversation with talent but not with how they are playing. Michigan reminds me a fair bit of LSU. Their defense grinds people and sets up the offense to just destroy teams late. I do not see that happening against an Alabama. Or other elite team.
You had me at "a lot of beers" (I might have a brandy snifter I'm told)...
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Yeah, it's a very strange thing for me. I've never ever thought of brandy until about mid summer (always been a rum or whiskey guy). I tried it, recently. It worked for me with minimal negative consequences. So.. I'm a brandy drinker.
Hey if there's ever a season to go with what works this is it.
Wisconsin endorses your choice in booze.
Im preparing for a nuclear winter tbh. New or same tired head coach, recruiting gets worse and the offseason is full of players declaring early or transferring - good players that we were gonna count on next year. At least Coach Holtmann is giving us some hope.

I seriously hope that wrong (as I'm sure that you do).
Agree Buck0113. I always expect Ohio State to win each and every game, since that's typically what we do. I expect us to play our best game of the year and curb stomp the Spartans. Let's hope I'm right. Go Bucks!
Yes sir! I could be completely wrong. But I still contend that they will put together their best game of the season this Saturday.
Delusional sounds about right.
Great input. Upvote for you.
now about that Brandy....
I Hate Michigan.
Who drinks brandy in shots? How strange...
People too lazy to make a liquor run?
I've been that guy all season long.
Someone who drinks to get fucked up, while watching the Buckeyes struggle week in and week out. I promise you, it tastes exactly the same.
Buckeyes struggle week in and week out.
I don't like the way the season is going as far as the play we are seeing. But, I really think the Buckeyes have set the bar really high in the eyes of the fans. We see Ohio State getting the number two team in the nation in recruiting. Winning a Natty after two years under Urban. Drawing in numerous 4^ and some 5* players. And now this year at the moment are 8-1. And I have to say, your comment is one we all say watching the games. In reality, we expect a blowout almost every game. 56-7, or 49-10, ect., ect. So if OSU doesn't go undefeated, and we don't blowout other teams, we see it as a struggle. Maybe we should realize that bar is awfully high and hard to reach all the time. If they won every game this year by one point each, I can't say they struggled. I would say it's been a good season.
"The most important statistic, is the number of wins in a season".........Woody Hayes
Out of the Nebraska game there were good and bad things. Just have to see if the goods stick around against a good defense in this game. And if the passing game can find its way again (not that it was bad but it has not been as dominant). The second safety spot is very nice and should help but they need to find a way to get more guys around the ball.
Misdirections are there for a reason but it seems like OSU bites or just misses tackles way too much. Particularly the LBs.
Realistic Optimism. Beat MSU, Beat Maryland. Probably lose to TTUN. We go to Pasadena and 'get physical' again, and lay it on Wazzou, while TTUN gets embarrassed by the Tide 45-10 on Dec. 29th.
You win with people
Lol that you think UM is scoring 10 points
The way to score against Bama is a vertical passing game, which UM does not have. Their secondary is the weakness of the defense, and Michigan won't be able to attack that.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I think the Buckeye play a good game this weekend. I won't say complete because the LBs will let us down once again. At this point I want targeting calls on Werner and Borland just to see what we have behind them.
To expect anything worthy of a Silver Bullets performance is probably delusional, but the D could probably manage bend but don't break which might be enough to win the next few.
I don’t think you’re delusional. If the defense does it’s job. And the offense is clicking, we can pull this out. As of late one or the other has been out of synch.
Fortune favors the bold.
This offense can smoke anyone if it eliminates penalties and gets the pads lower on blocks. Even 'Bama. We just have to put it together and then get on a run and use that momentum into the last few games. I am gonna stay positive. Things can go south sure, but I think Urban still wins another championship here.
Don’t see OSU being competitive with Bama with all the dinks and dunks passing it does!
Not delusional. There was definitely progress against Nebraska.
It doesn't seem like it, but there really and truly is still a long way to go. The Buckeyes have to show that they've got guts this week and turn Sparty away on the road.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
