When you recruit the best, when you develop the best, you should expect the ‘League’ to covet them.

That is all Frankin had to say? Maybe he learned to just STFU?

Fitzgerald is totally right about the turnover props - they're just the current gimmick trend.

The Miami turnover chain was and is fun and cool. Partly because it was the first turnover prop, but mostly because a super-gaudy, flashy, and arrogant piece of bling is quintessentially Miami. It fits so well with the program's culture and city as a whole that it's almost surprising that it only came about in 2017 rather than like 1986.

But now half of teams have some kind of turnover prop, which usually have no link to the program itself...and all of these props will disappear within a couple years once the trend dies out.

He says special teams in an indicator or the culture of your football team since players are doing jobs they weren't necessarily recruited to do. Says the kick coverage units are playing as well as they have since he arrived.

Uhh, didn't Rutgers just have a clown show play on special teams this weekend? Clearly, "memory" isn't part of the culture at Rutgers.

Maybe he meant overall - it's possible that the one bad play overshadowed a good effort overall. I don't know if this is true because I didn't watch the Rutgers-Maryland game, but maybe this is what he meant.

Besides, have you seen Rutgers this year? If he wants to say something positive to try to help motivate is team, well...he doesn't exactly have a lot of options in a season where his team has gotten crushed by everybody including the dregs of FBS like Kansas and Buffalo.

I don't blame Scott Frost for skipping out this week.

I'd have scheduling conflicts as well...

Asked what are the keys to playing well on the road this week: All of them.

Does Jim mean these keys? Because those are just for home games...

Hoping for a better game by the defense and for the offense to put the petal down early and not let up. No additional injuries going into the bye and then a week off to heal up some before preparing for Nebraska. Purdue is solid for sure. It would be better if this was not a night game. Has OSU played an away game not at night this year? Just sort of crazy that they are being put out there so much. Seems like this is not happening to Alabama or clemson, although I do not pay as much attention there.

My opinion, which nobody really cares about is that Nick would do best by concentrating on getting healthy and coming back and playing a few games. That would probably answer  questions the PRO's may have about his injury though that may not be a worry... I guess it is possible that he may not be healed up enough to play and that could also be the reason... and the PRO's may not be worried about this injury and he just wants to be healthy for the combines and PRO days.

That said with a chance to possibly play for a NC is  still there and his last chance to be a part of that I think I would find it hard not to at least take a shot at that by playing just a few more games...

I sure hope Haskins does not decide to hold out playing in  the postseason if he feels an injury would hurt his NFL ambitions... these actions are starting to tilt that way it would seem, we may start see more and more choosing this way to go ... and we'll have to get used to it.

I have a feeling the NFL pretty much knows what they are getting by drafting Bosa.  The football pedigree in that family is strong and I'm sure nobody will blink twice regarding the core injury and select him quite early.

What we can't do in the air we'll do on the ground.

So was this a situation where Bosa was ruled out for the season by the doctor in Philly or did he just decide to shut it down?

Also why wouldn’t Ohio State offer Nick Bosa an insurance policy this season like other programs have done for top draft picks?

He says Ohio State tries to take away easy throws and make teams attack them down the field. Says it's important for Purdue to hit throws up the field.

But, up field won't be all he throws.  Brohm likes the TE too, a lot.  Knox is another available wrinkle.  It's still about the headless mistakes that the Buckeyes must avoid.

A family with wealth should have been able to insure Nick with money saved by taxpayer and donor scholarship.

This wasn’t really about the money, so whatever it was about has to to do with Nick’s All Pro ambitions.

Or simply a poor medical prognosis.

What about Nick coming back for playoff games that way he is recovered and it gives him a perfect chance to demonstrate his abilities for NFL teams

OH!!!!!

He’s gone. He’s already an automatic top 3 pick. He’s already proved himself to the pros. He’s already withdrawn from school. It’s over.  He gone.
