I predict I still don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, because I'm from O HI O...
Think the weasels will actually find a way to win this one.
Yeah, it's time to take a look at this one.
Both teams riding high, and rightfully so. I think the key matchup is Sparty's defense vs the rival's run game.
Also Lewerke vs SheaPat, Dino vs the Baugh (Act IV).
The rival has been stout...at home. A little shakier on the road...and this one is big, without question.
Also like the special teams call here, and there's been plenty of that in recent games.
I like the home team in the upset, 27-24.
Hello you have reached the winter of my discontent...leave a message.
agreed, if it turns into a FG battle MSU surely wins this.
Is it at the toilet bowl or E. Lansing?

TTUN (pee and sky colored team) wins in a blow out!
It is time!!!!!
Agreed. I know we don’t want to admit Harbaugh has them playing well right now, but unless it pours all game and UM turns the ball over five times, this game won’t be close. East Lansing will be on fire by the middle of the third quarter.
Mark Dantonio will find something that he can twist into being disrespected by ttun, he is a master at that. The record since Hart ran his mouth is one sided to say the very least.
Dantonio learned well. Classic Tresselball at play
Go Sparty, again.
Fields of Dreams
I'm still picking UM to win this game because I think their improved passing game can find the holes in that MSU secondary and their defense will be able to limit MSU.
It's pretty sad when that "improvement" brings only you back to the level of having a basic ability to complete a few passes now and then. If the game comes down to Patterson having to throw 30+ times, that would be the most favorable situation for MSU to be in. UM seems to be best when patterson throws as little as possible. Patterson has never been able to win a big game with his arm, and in fact has had some of the worst performances you could ever want as a QB when he's tried. If UM can't run well, they won't score that much. I don't know if MSU win, but this game is sure to alleviate some of the growing anxieties about a possible UM resurgence.
"Life is not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. THATS HOW WINNING IS DONE!!" - Rocky Ballboa
And both of their teams!
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
Enjoying daily the 62-39 ttun beatdown.
Re: time of possession... That was supposed to be Wisconsin's bag as well. Perhaps it was Paul Cryst doing his best James Franklin impression, but UM dominated time of possession last week. Looking forward to this one.
Bucky couldn't pass at all.
Yep. This was the mismatch that was supposed to favor UW. Got pressure on Hornibrook though, and that was enough to do the job. I'm curious to see if UM's D-line will get more pressure on Haskins given that UWs O-line was supposed to be the best in the league.
they threw the ball too much, JT and UW o line was doing a good job in the run game.
My brother is a UW grad living and working in Chicago. Chill midwesterner, classic packers fan, etc. I got more all caps texts from him calling to just run the ball. I'm looking forward to the in depth analysis to see if there's a logical explanation why they abandoned the run game like they did. All I saw was a colossal mistake.
Abandoned the run game
???.. I watched that game and they never abandoned it, ttun just shut it down. They started man-handling wisc o-line so nothing got started, or holes could develop and pushed back into lanes. Wisc is always known for their stout lines and up until last weekend, considered the best in the B1G. It was pretty much total line domination and constant pressure. I am not the greatest at x and o's but they also somehow got the bodies open to swarm and gang tackle anytime a runner even approached the scrimmage line, especially Jonathan Taylor. He barely got a 100 yards and was lucky to get that with a majority of it in 4th quarter garbage time. (I know I harp on our o-line deficiencies, but to me that's key and I expect more with all the highly rated linemen we get.) They didn't abandon it, they just couldn't do it and applied constant pressure in the backfield which is beginning to worry me come next month if our o-line doesn't improve.
I'm not an X's and O's guy either. But certainly they could have run Taylor more than 6 times in the second half...
According to the B1G conference stat sheet; they rushed about the same through 3 quarters: 1st= 9/30yrds, 2nd= 8/72yrds, 3rd= 8/65yrds. Only had three possessions and rushed 4 times for 16yrds in the last quarter but were down 31-7 by then and tried to air it out all 8 plays in desperation the last series when they scored their second TD. Maybe there was something wrong with Taylor as his avg dropped in the 2nd half to 3.7 ypc vs. 7.2 in the 1st half, but they still rushed 2 out of 3 plays in the first two 4th quarter possessions.
This will be a dawg fight.
Lock of the week: Trending in the wrong direction
Here's to history repeating itself:
btw, what's that announcer's name?
"porque las estirpes condenadas a cien años de soledad no tenían una segunda oportunidad sobre la tierra."
I'm more concerned about what MSU's rushing defense will do to us. Could it be much worse than what Minny's vaunted defense did?
Alright, I'm done being negative for the week. On to Purdue and hopefully moving things in the right direction. If not, then a one point win any way we can get it will suffice.
How much worse can it get than 2.7 ypc? I like that we're seeing some of these issues come up now with the easy part of our schedule. I trust the offensive staff to come up with some counters to these problems and adjust.
This UM team is playing with an edge they haven't previously played with under Harbaugh. I see them taking Sparty to the woodshed. Go Bucks! Screw Blue!
I don't see how Sparty scores in this game.
Sparty is due to shit the bed again. Dantonio is just good at outcoaching Franklin.
"Sherman ran an option play right through the south" - Woody trolling the SEC.
One good game and decent win and the Michigan shirts are already coming out at work. Go state!
The Michigan press conference today was telling. Harbaugh did not say a single dang thing that could be construed as bulletin board material. Nada. Nothing. Everything he said was respectful, measured, careful, and he didn't reveal anything on scheme, on injuries, on strategy.
To me, it sure looks like Harbaugh is doing a slow burn, and is truly and fully in a "take no prisoners" state of mind. I also think that the coaching advantage in the past is gone. The Michigan coaches are definitely game planning for this game.
Personally, I foresee a slaughter.
Harbaugh being afraid to give Dino bulletin board material equates to “take no prisoners “? Him being scared in his presser says the opposite to me.
Yep-my take as well.
Michigan averaged more passing yards per game in 2015 and 2016 than they do now... and this season, they only average 5 more YPG than last year.
Don't buy into the hype just yet, Wisconsin isn't really that good.
I'll take Sparty by 9 in this game... until TTUN proves they deserve more respect than that. (Which they may)
LOL, you'll take sparty -9? Seriously? DM me for that bet all day long...
I would never actually take that bet... I just think we learned more about Sparty on Saturday than we did about the Dancing Harbaugh's.
I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time. Just ask my wife.
I agree Orlando. Mi is not as good as they think on offense. Their D is legit, but the O hasn't taken the giant leap forward that everyone thinks. Wisconsin was known to be terrible at D on the edges and MI took advantage of it, that's all.
Exactly. Wisconsin is slow. That's what I saw.
Hopefully the ground opens up and.... well, you know.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Swallows the whole state of michigan?
Would it be so much to ask? What's one less peninsula?
At least the eastern side starting at AA.
two equal teams.
one riding undeserved confidence
one playing the the disrespect card
one at home, one away
22-15 Sparty --strange score, strange game
MSU run defense is great because opposing teams elect to throw the ball so much more against them. PSU/Sanders gashed them last week on the ground. I think the MSU defense is a bit overrated, much like the Michigan offense - overrated.
Low scoring battle...Michigan 19 MSU 13
No such thing as a bad win
Sanders had 192 yards on 17 carries, how the F did Franklin blow that game?
i watched that game, outside of 2 big runs sanders couldnt establish a consistent running game thanks to MSus defense.
I see MSU winning simply for the fact that D'Antoni has a habit of pulling a rabbit out of his ass and winning games he has no business doing so, against both UM and OSU.
Rain and windy in East Lansing Saturday. It's going to be low scoring.
shea patterson, higdon, and the scum defense will turn this cold, wet east lansing saturday into a miserable day for anyone wearing green. patterson and higdon team for 225 yards rushing.
scum 37 sparty 17
If Sparty loses, they are eliminated from the B1G East title. And if they win, we MUST beat BOTH Michigan schools UNLESS PSU somehow beats TSUN.
We just need to win out so none of this matters.
My favorite team? Whoever is playing TTUN.
Harbaugh will find a way to lose
"The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish" - Charlie Chaplin
Paul Cryst sounded about as excited as someone who had just swallowed 14 quaaludes and then watched 11 episodes of Little House on the Prairie during the half time interview. He must have really fired the Badgers up during that half time. Dantonio will Have Sparty on fire. Harbaugh is still a major league a-hole who whines at every call the refs make. Blow up Higdon and pressure Patterson and this becomes a street fight. Go Sparty, because we all know who we hate most in that state!
With a hard work ethic Inshallah the U of M will return to its glory days.

Pay that man his money.
What's the Weather going to be this weekend? if its rainy and gloomy I take Sparty but if the weather is fair I take UM.
The days of Dantonio dominating are over. Michigan is done with this crap. I am looking forward to a beatdown.
