Not a bad way to start a career break out! Awesome catch and run
Victor(y) is always welcome in our house.
Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Mach11 with hairball on fire
This could be Victor's breakout year; good luck the rest of the way! NEXT YEAR: it'll be him with his length, K.J. Hill with his speed, and Austin Mack with his grit and toughness. Their backups will be "next men up" Chris Olave, Jaylen Harris and Jaelen Gill, with incoming Class of 2019 frosh Garrett WIlson from Lake Travis TX -- where OSU RS QB Matt Baldwin is from. I feel a "hometown boy-to-hometown boy connection" in the Buckeyes' future.
Hope that’s the first of many big time catches Victor starts to make. His physical tools are there just need that confidence in himself that he can make any and every play. He did that last night.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Downfield blocking by Parris, Rashod and Johnnie FTW!
Speaking of Johnny (Dixon), was he ever a target? Just curious. This is the first Penn State game he hasn’t scored two touchdowns.

may Ben be all he can be, and believe he has it in him on every play in any game

Bin runs like he isn't running. Almost just gliding along. Getting to the end zone any way you can. Someone below wrote, "like a giraffe running from lions".
To be fair, the DT almost caught him from behind at the goal line.
Ignorance isn't bliss for the rest of us.
The catch was awesome; however, the presence to fight off the tackle and then weave across the field made the play Epic!
Unfortunately, we have had other great catches over the years by players who were not consistent. That is what I want to see from Victor (although I may never forget this one either way). I want him to be remembered for many more great catches, not just one.
Year three with the program... wow time flies. I remember his #boom like it was yesterday. Probably says more about me than the young man.
At last, Kerry had cracked open his first Red Bull with an impatient delight. And the rest, as they say, was history.
Says more about many of us.
I really thought he was going to get caught from behind. But his speed was deceptive. Gawd if this guy blows up, watch out!
His running reminded me of Terelle Pryor. I watched the replay and live, I thought for sure he was going to get caught, but in the replay, his strides were so long, he was pulling away. Great catch and run! Hope to see many more.
2, you took the words right off my tongue. Victor had nothing but green grass ahead of him and two defenders closing. I jumped up and yelled "run!" His stride seemed slow but he started to pull ahead of these two just enough to make it to the house. Looks exactly like Pryor running downfield.
What's round on the ends and high in the middle? Tell me if you know!
i thought the same thing. I thought he was cruising because he thought he was in in for the TD.
He has very deceptive speed. Fluid.
Ben looked like he wasn’t even trying after he made that great catch. What a talent! He just glided to the end zone. He needs to get some more looks.
Fields of Dreams
His strides are so long and effortless. He just glides.

I agree. He's one of those players that is open when he's not open. He has the ability to make special catches we just don't really try him often in the game. Why are all our deep shots to Mack when Dixon and mclaurin are the speedsters who knows.
If if was a fifth we'd all be drunk
The way he kind of glides and runs reminds me of AJ Green .
Dare I say.....Randy Moss? Deff not as fast though....

I'm sure many of the white out fans were wondering; "Who was that guy?......Where did he come from?" Surprise, Nitts! The Buckeyes will roll out several levels of talent on you.
When the season is over. this easily could be one of the many top plays that gave the Buckeyes momentum towards Championships!
That awesome TD run most assuredly silenced the huge white-out Pom-Pom crowd as I was watching the PSU fans’ reactions as the Buckeyes were suddenly and almost miraculously within striking distance of the win.
In all the above about great downfield blocking by Campbell and Berry, you forgot to mention Johnnie Dixon taking out 2 guys at the 5 yard line. Terrific team play by all 11 Warriors on that one.

Is it just me or did Victor look slow? He almost got caught by a D lineman.
I hope you are joking. He got held up 3x, had to back step, and was running sideways. The DL was running straight down the field.
In the words of Ramzy “Like a C student running late for class” smooth.
Fortune favors the bold.
wasn't just you, I noticed it too.
but as Fowler pointed it out his long strides can make things deceiving.

I just watched it again.... How TF could he look slow. The DL had a full head of steam and a 30 yard sprint. It in the time it took that DL to get down the field BV9 caught the pass, juked 3 guys, broke 2 tackles, ran 20 yards sideways and got up field.
You are correct, I wish others could see the video like you describe.
Send the Earth Reverberating
It's a perception thing. I know he's fast and seems a little odd to point out considering the result. Just saying what it looks like. Doesn't have to be a right or wrong sort of thing.
Ben Victor looked like a giraffe running from lions.
Outstanding effort by Campbell, Berry and Dixon making critical blocks downfield to clear the path.
I saw Ryan Day hang 62 on Michigan...His hair was perfect.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
Possible this is my favorite play of the year so far.
Huge catch and run. Great blocking down field.
Now that was a "Brotherhood" play by all and outstanding personal effort!
I called this on Thursday. Said he was going to have 60 yards, 1TD and 4 receptions. I believe he got all of those but on 3 catches. This guy was a stud as a true freshman at catching the ball and route running. He was the lone bright spot in the Clemson game. I just hope that we give him more chances to just go out and make a play. I understand the importance of blocking and doing the dirty work, but just let him be a guy that catches the ball and makes plays!
You can literally hear the disappointment in Fowlers voice on that play.
I haven't been able to watch the game yet but wondered why they didn't target Victor on the 2 point try...
It really was a great play. I am not in the minority to say I thought we would see more from him by now, but I just feel that all it takes at times is a spark. I can't think of a better opportunity from which he can launch.
I was PUMPED to see Binny Victor finally break one off last night. Having said that, if you get a chance, watch the block that was thrown by Campbell and Johnny D running his guy off. You can tell our receivers take pride in their blocking here.
Best play of his career so far. No reason he can't renew that statement every single Saturday. The best is yet to come.
Overlooked on this play is Rashod Berry's incredible hustle. He was kept in to block and was right next to Haskins when the ball is thrown but he runs down field and throws a great block to spring Victor. Easily could've stayed back and watched and no one would've known any better but he ran down and looked for someone to hit and contributed to the biggest play of the year
I saw that too - after Rashod's tip to interception in the first half, seeing him keep his head up and hustling like that is inspiring. He doesn't have the catching ability of Ruckert, but he is really getting better at putting a hat on people and creating holes. Fantastic hustle.
Have been saying since the beginning of the season that Victor needs more opportunities. He’s the only WR on the team that makes that catch. Why he wasn’t in on the 2 point try is very surprising??? The other thing last night was Mack not getting separation on deep routes in particular.
“It took him one play to prove he can change a game. It’ll take a couple more for him to take the next step and become the consistent playmaker he proved on Saturday he has the potential to be.”
My feeling is this kid needs to play with a chip on his shoulder. Play angry. I hope this is “Victors coming out party”. Go Vick!!
I could watch that play forever. Way to go Bin Victor!
Good idea, I think I’ll watch it again!
It didn't surprise me that an Ohio State WR made that play, but it did surprise me that it was Victor. I had no idea that he had that kind of movement in his skill set. Helluva catch and run.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
THATS what Meyer means when he has said victor is the most talented wide receiver he has ever coached. Let’s hope this continues, because that is unstoppable on saturdays.
what was crazy about that play is if he doesn't find a way to make that catch it's likely picked off in which case the games fate would be written but in the other direction.
I am so happy for Ben... I know a lot of other WRs have been on the receiving end of huge passes this year... That can be a little discouraging to see all the guys in your position group have huge games, so for him to save his breakout moment for the most crucial drive of the season in front of a white out crowd trailing by 12... Hats off to #9. Lets keep it rolling.
