It looks a bit sterile
I saw Ryan Day hang 62 on Michigan...His hair was perfect.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
If this is truly a "neutral site" game, why is Gameday being held on the TCU campus and not on the AT&T Stadium site? Just wondering.
I thought the same thing when it started. Also agree with the OP. That looks like an apartment complex instead of the center of a campus.
“Megadeth >>> Metallica” - Alum 2019. I couldn’t agree more.
ESPN doesn’t want to deal with Buckeye fans.
Is this a neutral site game? I was under the impression his was a home and home, but they moved it to Jerry World to accommodate all the OSU fans (and get TCU a bigger take at the same time). Similar to when we did the home and home series with Toledo, but their “home” game was played at the Browns stadium.
It was a home and home when originally set in 2012. They recently changed it to a “neutral” site one off game. Ohio State is actually making more money here than they would have if they played at TCU’s home field.
Thanks I didn’t realize they were off the schedule next year. Frankly, I’m happy, because playing them on top of Miami (O), Cinci and FAU might be too much.
Because they wouldn't get as many fans at Jerry's World this early.
Because it's College Gameday, and the focus has always been on the campuses.
Because ESPN, like most of college football fans, would rather see a home-and-home with all the pageantry that goes with college football than the sterility of a pro football venue.
Because TCU's campus is less than 20 miles from AT&T stadium.
Because, who really cares where they stage Gameday?

On point as always
Then LSU-Auburn might’ve been a much better choice for this weekend.
Potentially. But they also tend to go to the highest ranked match-up of the week. #4 vs #15 is equivalent or better than #7 vs. #12.
Yep, and they'll probably be at either Auburn or Baton Rouge later this season.
I can think of a couple of guys from hay other thread who seem to care a lot.
I was going to make the same point. I stated earlier this week espn would turn this into a circus! They did.
“Show me a good loser...and I’ll show you a loser.”
I expected a lot of urban signs but dang they really hate urban and OSU
The Future is Bright at Ohio State
Most of the country does. Like it or not, but the media has made us into college football’s biggest villains. We might as well embrace the role.
You just had to know they were coming. That's why I never bothered to turn it on. It's just going to piss you off.
Man they were weak though.
- Urban Liar (creative..)
- Where's Waldo? He's with Urban (stupid)
- Urban can't handle the truth (wtf..)
- Urban Meyer don't you mean Oscar Meyer (my fave)
At least be creative. They embarrassed themselves with their weak ass attempts to flame.
Buckeye til I die
Did I hear correctly that the celebrity guest picker would be Roman Reigns from WWE? I know that he used to play college football (back when he was known as Joe Anoa’i), but I believe that he went to UCF. They couldn’t even get someone affiliated with TCU to make the picks? I mean, it’s not like Andy Dalton has anything to do tomorrow or Monday. That’s just kind of sad.
I believe he went to Georgia Tech.
Guest pickers used to mean something, but over the past few years they seem to pick people with something to promote, and very little connection to the game itself.
BTW, I am loving that the crowd is tiny, and all TCU, and tiny. Kudos to Buckeye Nation.
Figured it would have been LaDainian Tomlinson
"Where's Waldo with Urban"? Lame. So does that mean Urban is out getting a fried bologna sammich today?
I thought the first one was funny, then saw 5 other people did the same thing. Texas Christians might not be the most creative
I think the signs are pretty funny lol
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.
Funny and not as mean as I expected. I liked:
I had a better sign, but Urban covered it up.
My bologna has a first name: U R B A N was good, too.
Is that the smallest crowd in college game day history? They showed an aerial photo - it was pretty sad
It certainly appears to be. Even the shots on the ground show the crowd isnt very deep. Really sad showing
the folks operating the cameras are having a horrible day trying to avoid the holes
I’d say likely because a lot are tailgating 22 miles away at Jerry World
Mike Gundy is a national treasure
I want to see oSu play Northwestern just for the coaches' pressers.
Mike Gundy is definitely not a Commie
I like Gundy too. Coaches with personalities are always welcome in my book.
I survived Cooper, and I hate Tai Streets.
That would be great. But, Gundy and Mike Leach would be epic.
ESPN loves them some SEC. More hype for the LSU Auburn Game than OSU TCU.. haven't watched Gameday in a few years, now I remember why.
Yeah. It's almost like that's the only game today. And now that's a rivalry? Never heard of that before.
They never cover the featured game until the last hour when Corso is back on the set.
Yeah, TCU and the Buckeyes have had plenty of screen time so far. They've been on a whole bunch.
So now that they just finished 10 minutes of salivating over Dwayne Haskins and Nick Bosa, do we all feel better?
Even Dez was fawning over Ohio State's team.
He got dealt the bad hand.
- You’re the Michigan Man, so you get to talk up the Buckeyes’ opponent again this week. Be the bad guy.
- But there’s nothing for me to talk about.
- Make something up.
- Ok, but the Buckeyes are gonna kill ‘em.
The only way they could salvage this one would be to have Urban as the guest picker.
That really would have been a homerun for Gameday. Ratings would have exploded. But their ratings aren't as important as SEC hype.
Shut it down. You win the internet today.
I wonder why they talked to Coach Patterson but didn’t have Coach Day on for an interview.
They usually interview both, but split them into different hours of the broadcast.
Most of the TCU signs are pretty much lame, predictable, and show little creativity or imagination...but one actually made me laugh, even though inaccurate and somewhat brutal...it reads, "Urban let Smith dot the eye." Gotta admit, clever!
Meanwhile, one of our fans is referencing Alex Jones on their sign. Sigh...
How is anyone thinking a neutral site game 20 miles away from TCU s campus? Guess we can get some recruiting in...no matter Ohio State is going to roll
TCU still has to go through an away game routine. Imagine Ohio State playing a similar distance away from Ohio Stadium. No Blackwell, differentt food, no walk to St. John, no Skull Session, no walk through fans to the stadium, no walk down the ramp, different locker room. Plus there is the real possibility that there will be more Buckeyes than Frogs in the stands.
Best sign, so far
"AN Ohio State University"
I'm surprised I've never seen that before.
You'd think if they literally put GameDay in the middle of their dorms TCU would have more than 150 fans. Saw a lot of Zeke and JTB jerseys in an overhead shot.
What's with the Ohio State and Michigan flag?
I saw a lot more scarlet in the crowd than I expected.
Someone tell Chip to take that UM flag off his pole.
I've never understood neutral site locations that are pretty much home games for one team. Good thing the Buckeyes travel well.
Apartment complex or Astrodome North?
Good thing they didn't put a pool in the courtyard.
Can't wait for Desmond to pick TCU in like 5 seconds
Wow--Desmond picked us.
Corso put Brutus on his head too.
Mark May even picked us. Biting fingernails.. LOL GO BUCKS!!!!
Go Buckeyes! #TeamUrban..
I believe TCUs campus could fit in the Oval.
Go Bucks! TTUN tears are best! Beat Wisky!!!
