Looks like they'll be getting a little zing in their zang zang and a little ting in their tang tang
Oh, joy...I can't wait to see some of their signs.
Who the heck still watches College Gameday?
I do. If you can get over the whole "eSECpin hates OSU" thing it's actually pretty cool to see things like this

That was powerful. They also brought a make-a-wish patient in to do the celebrity picks this week. Good stuff. I always watch if i am home. But i like all college football.
Have to disagree; there was nothing powerful about that segment; it was just sad.
The only hard day was yesterday
If that whiny voiced Howard was replaced it would be a lot better. His voice is like one of the sounds that make me go deaf.
I'm with ya, '94. We stil throw Gameday on the TV on Saturdays.

It’s on. I wouldn’t say I’m watching, but I’m tuned in
Feed the trolls
I watch CGD. Maybe not all 3 hours if it.
My old stomping grounds. TCU is a gorgeous campus; also probably the best looking girls of any other college university.
I remember a class, were about 25 of us. We’re like 3 of us guys. Unbelievable. [no, it wasn’t a fashion merchandise degree class, was Speech I think, but girls far outnumbered guys like 2 or 3 to 1. This class was a bit stacked, pardon me]
CGD was in Fort Worth last year——we beat West Virginia.
This will be a good test for both teams w/ the Bucks winning.
The lord of brevity.
They know that they will get the viewers with OSU playing.
I should hope Alabama has more Gamedays having won 5 of the last 9 Nattys. That alone should have them destroying any other team.
Except that OSU has the larger fan base and they know that they'll get ratings just because. That's why it's doubly bizarre that they have an obvious anti-osu bias in their reporting over there.
Urban Meyer >Jim Harbaugh for ever and ever, Amen. 0
#2 Clemson almost lost to unranked Texas A&M. Can you imagine what ESPN would be saying if that was OSU and Rutgers today?
This is true.
However Tex a/m > Rutgers
That touchback call was BS and ultimately sealed the game.
Not to mention that TAM got hosed. The touchback replay call was total bs. In addition, that long completion that set up clemson for a td in the 4th qtr after the freak interception by the back-up TAM qb was blatant offensive pass interference. The clemson receiver threw the db to the ground right in front of the ref - it was impossible to miss - but no flag.
I think the coaches should get two challenges and they can challenge any bad call they want. If the call is not overturned, they lose a challenge and get a 15 yard penalty. If the challenge is upheld, they do not lose a challenge, thus if they challenge 4 calls and all are upheld, they get to keep challenging.
Also, we need a rule that says you get 60 seconds to review a play. Sometimes it is taking 4-5 minutes on a very obvious call. I don't buy the "we have to make sure we get the time and ball placement correct" either. They are superimposed on every screen - it's 2018 for GS.
Not that it mattered in the game, but the late hit called by the refs against the Maryland db on Tate Martel was also bs-Tate was not out of bounds. Plus, so many of the targeting calls are bs, where the tackler is going into make the tackle, the ball carrier is falling to the ground, or moving, changing the location of the head and they get popped, the refs just automatically call targeting and the booth upholds it. The refs are really starting to become more and more a factor in the outcome of games.
Reporting? Is that was they are calling it?
also,, the Buckeyes have tried to schedule actual good teams for out of conference match ups.
As dominant as Alabama has been, Game Day is not going to bother with Alabama vs Southern Mississippi Tech.
I for one could care less about whether these clowns show up at the game or not. After eSECpn's serial butchery of tOSU during the recent preseason, they are cordially invited to sit on it and spin, When I watch the game, I'll turn off the broadcast sound and turn on Paul Keels' radio broadcast.
Just my $.02 worth.
After all the bullshit that ESPN allowed because one of their former reporters had a boner for OSU - fuck them and the horse they rode in on.
Bucks Fan since 1970
I would do the same but the radio is ahead of the TV as much as a half minute or so (Direct TV). In spite of that, I will still do that to escape some TV announcers.
TCU had better enjoy Gameday. They won't enjoy the game.
"Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of someone else." - Judy Garland
Especially if the Buckeyes play like they did today.
I survived Cooper, and I hate Tai Streets.
We love GameDay, and ESPN loves TCU. In fact, we are 5-0 whenever we are on GameDay.
Buckle up buckeyes, you are in for a very sad surprise this weekend......
It is advisable to not hit the giant doob before posting.
Very familiar with TCU, attended many games while I was stationed there while in the Corps. Respected their program until Del Conte ran his mouth about OSU and not taking a contract to come to Columbus for one game. He then proceeded to schedule Clemson for a one and done which was completely hypocritical. You know as well as I do, A.G. Carter isn’t big enough to host the Buckeyes and Del Conte could have realized this without being a giant douche about it. In my eyes the Bucks owe TCU a whooping.
For the record, Gee’s comments were dumb and most here know that. TCU should have been in the Big 12 years before they were. While I lived there it was awesome seeing the OU fans sulk after losing to a MWC team.
Be confident, be your real self, be truly beautiful
Not interested. Just another echo chamber for them to take potshots from
Gameday broadcasting 19 miles away from where the game is actually being played.
Yeah, it's different, that's for sure.
Neutral site game <insert eye-roll emoji>
I still forsee more Buckeye fans in Jerry's World on Saturday evening.
In Urban We Trust.
I like it. College campuses are part of what make college football great. I have no affection for giant parking lots outside Jerryworld.
You and I both caught DVs for our Game Day apathy, LOL!
Haha, that's fine with me. I'm so done with everything espn.
Unless there’s an OSU game or a pro game that I care about, I don’t tune in anymore either.
You both missed a great Clemson game.
BTW if you watch ABC games you are watching ESPN.
I can't stand the ridiculous shows, including Sportscenter, that they trot out there on a daily basis. I also dislike the fact that, for at least 5 years but probably longer, they've been in the business of "making" the news, not just reporting it. I stopped watching a long time ago because of it. But I'm not gonna cut off my nose to spite my face, so I still watch all sporting events.
"We gotta go win this next game and make the State of Ohio proud!"-UFM
You both missed a great Clemson game.
You both missed watching Texas AM get hosed by two awful calls by the refs.
(A TAM touchback that should have put the ball at the one yard line in the fourth qtr.)
(Blatant offensive pass interference non-call by clemson right in front of the ref which lead to a 4th qtr td - the receiver literally pushed the db to the ground and then caught the ball with the ref standing in the frame looking right at it.)
Technically, if you watch either network, you're watching Disney.
Ok, whatever. Three years ago, I would’ve watched. Now, not so much. I honestly couldn’t care less about what anyone on that show has to say.
should be fun, but since I cut the cord I won't witness any of it.
Hope some of you jokesters make some great signs.
Varys: I've always hated the bells. They ring for horror, a dead king, a city under siege.
Tyrion: A wedding.
You win with people.
Desmond, Home Depot branded everything, and Lee Corso doddering on all morning? I'll tune in at kickoff.
A man got to have a code...
Not so fast my friend...
It's cringey the way Herbie has to cover for him.
ive been remembering herbie’s game calls for his man-crush qb’s,, I.e. Colt McCoy, Hennie, and especially Mariota. Will he show the same overt love for Haskins?
I suspect his heart belongs to Tua.
Big Time! I think this shows ESPN doesn't give a crap about anyone as Corso needed to retire years ago. I know I'm not alone when I watch & just feel sorry for him. I like the guy but sometimes you gotta tell the old guys "it's time to go on your honorably or we will replace you."
"I didn't get a harrumph outta that guy!"
Desmond has no objectivity. Kirk overly objective. Corso liked him some years ago but now its like humoring grandpa's schtick you've seen a million times.
I fully expect that Lee Corso will be putting on Brutus's head on again. I'm pretty sure he has worn the Buckeye headgear more than an other, he'll be adding to the total, LOL.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
I won’t be watching.
I used to really enjoy it years ago when they didn’t have agendas and stuck to breaking down games. It was appointment TV for me and my four boys. Now we do not watch.
The more you act like a lady the more likely he’ll act like a gentleman.
When you thought there wasn’t an agenda, there was an agenda. There’s always an agenda!
In the poll era (since 1936), OSU is by far the class of the B1G:
National Titles: OSU 8, UM 3
B1G Titles: OSU 33, UM 27
Head-to-head: OSU 42, UM 36
Major Bowls (New Year's Six): OSU 20-14, UM 10-16
538 gives Ohio State its best chance to lose.
Sounds good to me. Clearly, their statisticians haven’t been watching.
I think you misunderstand the statement. That's as compared to the rest of OSU' scheduled opponents. There's a chance, a slim one, but a better chance than MSU, UM, PSU, etc.
Ah, I was thinking in relation to other top teams. Thanks for the clarification.
ESPN doesn't want to cover Ohio State. Ratings be damned? I don't get it either. That is why they cover manufactured scandals the way they do. If the cover Ohio State, make sure it's a loss. That is my point. And 538 is way over rated.
FS1 > esPeeN
You do realize they crapped on us just as hard as ESPN, right? You just didn't know because you were too busy actually watching ESPN(instead of FS1) to see what they said so you could run back here to say how much they hate us.
I too am headed to the game next week. I’ll be damned if I go watch Gameday though. Pretty much rather do anything but go watch that clown show.
But you'll miss Desmond's expert and unbiased analysis. How will you ever forgive yourself for that?
Miller Lite makes me forgive a lot of stuff...
Right on. I like ML too. Alot of people turn their nose up at it but I've been a craft drinker for 10 years and still enjoy cold miller lite. Also enjoy yuengling (preferably Oktoberfest but any will do) since we're talking about mass produced beers.
Yuengling is a winner, but Lite takes me back to the good old days, which is why my garage fridge always has a supply!
Desmond’s ignorance offends me.
Desmond is a dolt!
I can’t even watch that show anymore.
Fields of Dreams
Dabo is literally the biggest douchebag in college football. It's not even close.
Hahahaha! And that’s saying something with guys like Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher out there.
Damn right it is.
Haha. Kiffin. Wow how does that guy stay employed.
I can’t stand Franklin’s dumb grin. Probably because he wins games he shouldn’t. But I still wanna smack the livin shit outta his team.
dabo got a gift from the refs last night.
Not only is Harbaugh worse, so is Bert.
ESPN is already starting it's propoganda campaign for Clemson to make the playoffs... This is their lead story right now.
"That win could mean the difference for Clemson on Selection Day. A road win against an extremely talented SEC West team will do wonders to separate Clemson from other Power 5 conference champs if Clemson continues to win and gets into a resume battle with another team that doesn't have a nonconference win of that caliber."
Should Bama be worried?
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Don't sleep on VaTech in the acc.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
TCU did not look good at all against SMU. To say they started out slow is an understatement.
I'm sure they were just holding back so as not to give us anything on film.
Glad we did the same thing - can't wait until we unleash Haskins!
They had a bloody monsoon early on and SMU was prepared ; I give them credit, but TCU got it together and dominated the rest of the game. Everyone know heavy rainfall is the great equalizer for inferior teams. Please cut some slack here.
Should make for some interesting signs.....
Noon games suck
Not sure College Gameday deserves so much hate just from its association with ESPN being its producer. If you don't live life with blinders than you get the chance to enjoy what I think is 4 decent talking heads assessing the full slate of the current college football weekend and no other pregame college football show compares frankly.
*3 decent talking heads and one clown. FIFY
*3 decent talking heads and one clown.
*3 decent talking heads and one ASS clown.
I read blitz
Taking the blinders off, you honestly think Desmond is a “decent talking head”? Legitimate question.
Let's Go BUCKEYES!!!!!
One more chance to get the story wrong, see some dipshit signs from ignants, gin up some outrage, hear how the punishment for Urban was too lite....yeah the espinners wouldn’t pass up this chance to immerse themselves in some controversy.
They might toss a little scarlet meat to the OSU fans about how good Haskins looks, and Bosa should be in New York for the Heisman.....yada, yada....I think I’ll just rearrange my sock drawer Saturday morning.
Could not get a better synopsis than that. My sock drawer is also out of order, so it will look much better come gametime as well. They will just make it into two hours of showing why Meyer and OSU are the devil. No thanks.
After the opening song with Big and Rich; it's really a waste of three hours.
And to think that 24 years ago, I skipped a Friday night party to show up at Game Day for the PSU game. I wouldn’t do that again.
I was at that party.
Buckeyes haven't lost in Jerry's World.
Has Ohio State ever lost in TX? ~ Anyone/Bueller/Anyone?
They're 2-0 in the Cotton Bowl. Ohio State lost once to TCU in 1957 (18-14) 1st game in Columbus. Ruined a perfect season.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. ~ Mark Twain
2-0 in the Cotton Bowl, 1-0 in the National Title Game in Arlington, 1-0 in Austin vs. UT, 1-0 in the Alamo Bowl over Oklahoma State.
They also beat SMU in Dallas in 1977.
Maybe ESPiN's tour of BS bus will break down.
My prediction: Corso dons the Brutus head in his final appearance on Gameday this upcoming January in Santa Clara. Good way to bookend a career.
I'll be at this game. I see it didn't take long for the vitriol to begin dripping from the maul of Heather Dinich ESPiN.
Buckeye by birth. Christian by 2nd birth. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
Damn, I cant continually upvote this post!
Can't wait to get my stickers to up vote this kind of thing.. Thank you
Who cares! Im bored with this tired old format and SEC biased station. Until we get a real unbiased football GameDay show with a new type of format, I will continue not to watch.
Alabama are pussies, plain and simple. Anytime they schedule a "neutral site" game - it must be south of the Mason Dixon line, or preferably in a dome. When was the last time they played a TRUE road game in the north, after Oct. 15th?
I am in my sixties and I cannot ever remember one. If they had a set (doubtful) and they wanted respect - that is the way to gain it. The SEC always schedules an OOC game in week 11 - but it is always at home, and against a way inferior opponent.........
The Buckeyes would make room on their schedule if Bama ever had an attack of conscience and decided to ever step out of their ass kissed comfort zone. Real football teams take on the elements in Minnesota in November.
The Horned Frog blowhards better be careful what they ask for - the Buckeyes have a pretty impressive track record the last two times they have visited Jerrah World.
Why any Buckeye fan watches, or especially participates, in any of The Four Letter's programming other than to watch OSU Football is beyond me. Only way I would watch is if Vegas puts out a proposition on how many times they continue to put the knife in Urb's back.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Coach Meyer will not be appearing as guest prognosticator.
And urb used to do interviews with one of the guys from ESPN. It was in the woody with the same espn guy each time. If I was urb I would say to them in not a very polite way that you’ll never get a word out of me ever again.
Banks of olentangy
If Urban is going to boycott ESPN, then he's going to have to boycott EVERY other sports outlet as well seeing as it wasn't just ESPN shitting on Urban.
Buckeyes are going to plaster them.....watch what happens.....
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
Not going to watch. Go Bucks!
It really is a testament to how mediocre the Trojans and Longhorns are that GameDay chose a neutral site game in Dallas over going to Austin for USC-Texas.
Aluhbemma just proved my point. They had an open week in week 12 of the 2021 schedule.
They filled it.........
With New Mexico State............
An FCS school,
Gawd, those gd blowhards are just begging to have their ass kicked on a continual basis
