Man if the rest of the defense can hit the ground running and just be 80% as efficient as the DL...? That’s a scary team my friends
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Where are all of those supposedly UNBLOCKABLE Clemson defensive players on those two lists? Was all of the Clemson pre-season hype just more ESPN FAKE NEWS?
Don't even try to poke that bear. The Clemson guys have proven their ability. Both against us and the rest of the country. They are legit.
But so are we.
To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.
Out of curiosity, who foots the bill for Brandon Bowen’s surgery costs? Anyone have any insight on these sorts of things?
I am not up to date on his exact issue but from my own experience
the university pays for the bill. You also have up to a year post graduation for the university to pay for injuries received directly from your sport. Occasionally they will want your insurance information too as a backup. But never did I need to use mine for the surgeries and various MRIs I got.
Interesting, thanks for the input. That’s what I figured but it wouldn’t have surprised me if the NCAA had some bullsh*t policy making the players pay it
The employer pays. He hurt his leg at work.
Except he is a student and OSU is a school. No one is “employed.” I suspect this was tongue and check but so many are legitimately confused by the concept of students earning a degree who also happen to play football. It’s funny cuz no one would ever say this about a h.s. Kid who balls after school.
You are entitled to you own opinion, not your own facts.

For sports like Rugby and Lacrosse the league would have an insurance policy that you paid a small amount of money into up front and it covered injuries. I'm sure they have something similar in place.
Fighting the good fight in SEC country. "Our honor defend"
The funny thing about Jourdan Lewis' comments is that they are a microcosm of TTUN'S legacy in the Harbaugh era. There are so many things said, but they just are not real. It would seem that living fantasy is their reality.
I see the shot glasses for sale. But there is a problem. There is nothing in them. All aboard the Dwayne Train. It's not too late.
Jourdan Lewis is a perfect Michigan Man. He was good, but not nearly as good as he thinks he is. My dad told me as a kid that if you have to tell people how good you are, you're probably not that good. Seems appropriate here.
Also, it was my understanding that Chase Young didn't start. Jonathon Cooper did. I remember watching videos of Cooper on the camp circuit as a recruit and he was an absolute monster. Even with as much talk as the defensive line is generating, I still think it might be understated how good they actually are.
That blended meal that Porter Gustin eats sounds absolutely disgusting. It takes a desire to succeed that I can't even fathom to do that 6 times a day, every single day.
Reminds me of a saying I heard the other day - "When you are good, you tell people. When you are great, people tell you". Seems fitting for Lewis and most Michigan Men.
He may have not been the technical starter but he seemed to be in on play #2 through the end of the game.
and blending meals is completely pointless unless you can’t chew for some reason.
Blending meals allows you to consume them faster without triggering your "I'm full" response. Eating solid food that many times during the day would be impossible with his training and class schedule. They go down quick, and pass through more easily.
Baffled at how under the radar Michael Thomas continues to be...able to select him as my first WR in two FF drafts.
When the Browns passed on him, taking the Baylor midget, now out of the league, instead, the rest of the league figured Thomas had problems. You know, what with the Browns track record being all stellar and all.
The Browns are no longer the worst franchise in all of professional sport.
I’m feeling thirsty for a Porter blended shake. Or is it hunger? I’m not sure.
Send the Earth Reverberating
It’s funny that the thing that makes his diet so difficult to stomach (pun intended) has zero significance in the the end result. Unless he has no teeth, then I take it back.
That’s right, no matter how you consume it, it all comes out the same. I suspect his purpose is to increase the speed of his meals since he’s eating six times per day.
Ryan Day will continue to ensorcell the Buckeye faithful in the rain on Saturday. Forecast is 71 and near 100% chance of rain during the game.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
I had no idea there was an actual medical term for my tongue, I just figured it was because I was hungover?

59.7, that will get it done!
I have no idea why the Tigers announcers got into a fight, nor am I particularly interested in finding out. I do know that as an announce team they are about as bad as I have ever heard, and I listen to the White Sox radio team daily who are likely the worst. I don't wish Impeba and Allen ill, but I hope to not have to listen to them together ever again, and I am sure the reason for this altercation will come out soon enough.
Tuf is not a name I would choose for most folks, but it certainly does work for a linebacker.
It is already Friday, so less than 36 hours to go before another dismantling by Bosa and friends.

Now that is funny. Makes me think of Aykroyd and Curtin on the really old Point/Counterpoint from SNL:

I thought the saying was “Ann Arbor, you ignorant slut”
As a tigers fan, I wholeheartedly agree. I get that the Tigers have been a disappointment since Leyland retired, but Impemba has taken going through the motions to a whole nother level. He actually called a simple 3rd to 1st put out wrong on both ends - 3b and 1b players FOR THE TIGERS wrong.

It’s a shame Porter didn’t pick us because he and Coach Mick would have been a match made in heaven.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Congrats to the NFL for making an already mostly unwatchable product even MORE unwatchable. 26 penalties AFTER a late start! Really????? WHY?????
Unfortunately the Beagles won - its way more fun to listen to all the whining and crying over here when they lose.
The women’s semi-finals of the US Open was a far better watch last night. Tuned into the Eagles game between matches and was unimpressed.

Gotta make the game saaaaaaafe!
Gotta throw penalties on every play for saaaaafety!
Won't somebody please think of the children!!!
Porter Gustin sounds freakishly like Todd Marinovich - the USC QB who had never had fast food or sugar, spent his whole life in training, and was raised to be an NFL player. That dude wound up a drug abuser.
"I don't think you necessarily have to get a trophy to be a winner." - Nick Saban 1/2/15.
It's hard to say for sure but it appear Gustin is enthusiastic about his diet and training regiment even designing elements of his complete workout himself. As I recall, Marinovich had his lifestyle shoved down his throat since he was an infant by his lunatic father. Robo QB indeed.......
See you in Indy! B1G!
ESPN’s 30 for 30 on Marinovich is a powerful watch. He’s clean and sober now and is an artist in CA. Has a family and seems very grounded.
I don't think so, Navy. I believe Marinovich was arrested a few months ago. I think since that 30 for 30, Marinovich has been arrested twice. It was one of the best 30 for 30's I've seen... too bad he just can't seem to beat his addiction.
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
Appears March of this year was not good to Todd: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-todd-marinovich-arrest-20180...
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
Wow. I didn’t realize those demons had resurfaced. Reminds me a bit of our own wayward son, Art Achlichter. Addiction is an awful disease. Mr. Marinovich really did a number on that kid.
It just goes to show you that any documentary can make anything appear however they want it in order to create a better story.
Except it happened after the show was filmed, so I don’t think they were trying hide anything.
No, Extramedium is correct. Those film makers should’ve seen into the future and included those arrests. Shame on them for pushing their narrative.
First thing I thought of too. Hopefully he doesn't flame out like Todd.
His asshole father holds all of the blame on that. What a dick.

I thought of that too, LOL. That offseason was full of good times.
6 out of 12 defensive players on the Team of the Week are from the B1G. Interesting.
Jared Borland? Just what we needed was another psychology degree mensa inside joke.

"After his deep tissue therapy, Gustin heads home to his penthouse suite once resided by Reggie Bush's family for a nap."
Yeah, even if it’s only a 30 minute massage that’s pushing about 10 grand a year.
We have a massage therapy school in Dayton. The students need patients to work on, so we get heavily discounted massages there. Less than $50 for an hour massage. Not that we go every day, or week, or month.
Football programs provide therapy and masseuses.
This is definitely where I parked my car.
The state of grammar today....
Does he head home for a nap in the penthouse suite once occupied by Reggie Bush's family, or does he head home to the penthouse suite once occupied by Reggie Bush's family for their napping needs? Curious minds want to know...
There's a reason Gustin is spelled so similar to Gaston.
Man those PFF posts are flush with guys from the SEC...
Noticed that list was B1G
I wanna know how they come up with the %
Some of it seems like bull shiggidity as far as percentage “rankings”, and yet some folks take it as the gospel.
So glad to see Cam doing so well in Philly...
Has an aside, I recently discovered that I'm related to Drue Chrisman. His granmother (recently deceased) on his mother's side is my first cousin which, I believe, would then make Drue my 4th cousin.
I'm hoping Drue has as much success as Cam....
I actually thought about contacting him via Twitter but then reconsidered because, well, you know, it's Twitter....
Without God, there is no Liberty...
Cam’s opening night performance was a thing of beauty (one of the few in that snooze fest)!
Clearly an indication that he spent the past “down” year perfecting his craft, and his body. Those kicks had such power. Glad for the young man.
Just became aware of Bowen having surgery. Hope things work out for him.
Wondering if the disgusting smell is actually before the concoctions Gustin makes or um after?
Crap, sorry Reuben, didn't catch your comment before I posted....errr. Hmm, now I'm hungry for a sandwich.

OSU’s New Kid, Hangin’ Tuf Borland.
Sorry, had too
"Rutgers beat writer James Kratch"
Well, at least Rutgers beat somebody...
I laughed harder than I probably should have at this.
Oh man I've got an awful feeling about the Brandon Bowen news. "Broken leg" can be a serious injury, especially when those legs are carrying 300lbs and another surgery is a very bad sign.
I hope he starts for us next year, but we might have already seen the last time Bowen suits up in scarlet and grey. Good luck to you big guy!
Shades of DJ there, well done sir.
Despite the high cost of living, it still remains popular.
Jarred Tuf Borland became Tuf Borland... what's his middle name now?
You say I'm boring, I say hardly. Let's get together and have a pizza party.
Kevin.... long-time reader first-time commenter.... do you think the local team covers Saturday? I'll hang up and listen.
Los Angeleno by birth; Marionaire by the Grace of President Warren G. Harding.
Follow up for the commenter, they covered last weekend with a record setting QB performance - who did you predict would be the starting QB for that game?
What's up DJ!

How's the campaign business?

Related, remember when Jourdan Lewis clapped at Thomas? "You're not a superstar. You're nothing."
I'd love to be within earshot when the Cowboys and the Saints take the field and Lewis is matched up on Thomas...
The only thing better than that would be to be a fly on the wall of the Browns DB room when Denzel Ward starts giving Jabrill "The Clap" Peppers the business about their time together in The Rivalry Games. 0-4 baby, 0-4!!
Clap Peppers. Has a nice ring to it! Almost sounds like something on an Applebees menu...
Where are all of those UNBLOCKABLE Clemson players on the DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK list? Was all of that Clemson hype just more ESPN FAKE NEWS?
Could very well be. They pump up every SEC team just because they are the SEC network, or whatever crap connection it is.
Clemson is in the ACC. :)
Forget it...he's on a roll...

Two of my Lottery daydreams are many times weekly massages and paying someone to wash my hair every day. The absolute best thing about getting my hair cut is the ~5 minutes of massaging the shampoo into my scalp, the rinse, and repeat cycle for conditioner. While I lay back, completely relaxed. Those are my most sublime moments not involving my lovely wife.
