Thanks Joe, for my fortunate stroke of serendipity (and your true colors):
I love Joe Burrow, but LSU needs to learn a scheme. Or something.
It really is a boring offense. It reminds me of Tresselball a bit. Run Run Pass Punt
The lord of brevity.
That LSU-Auburn game has the potential of being a very wet game with wind.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
My son told me that Georgia has already moved their cupcake game up to noon.
Nothing cleanses the soul like a no call pass interference.
They are installing a new offense this year. I expect to see more of it revealed Saturday. They're also making major personnel changes on the O-line this week. I think we'll see them rolling with 4 receivers multiple times this weekend, so it should be fun to watch.
Not so sure folks are wrong about Purdue being a sleeper. Even though the season has begu, they do appear to be sleeping!!
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Purdue will play it's finest game of the year on October 20th...you can take that to the bank.
No such thing as a bad win
Hate to say it, but I think the honeymoon is over in Louisiana. If I were a betting man, I'd take Auburn all day.
Two games stick out to me as "easy money."
1) Agree with a few of the previous posters about LSU. Auburn is only giving 9 pts at home? I'd take Auburn even if the line were +20
2) Arizona St (-4.5), one week after a huge emotional win, is giving points on the road to a pretty good team (that admittedly hasn't played well yet). ASU has - and always will - blow these types of games. Easy money on SDSU +4.5. In fact, I'd take SDSU to win outright.
1. I'm with you on Auburn.
2. That was my first thought when I saw ASU favored...they do seem to always blow those types of games and have burned me in the past.
I'll add that I really like Bama -21, they may give up a few big TDs to those WRs, but Ole Miss defense is terrible and Bama will put up at least 50. And of course, I'm big on the Bucks to cover.
It's interesting that almost the entire 11W crew is taking USC over Texas, because the national media seems to be going very heavily the other way - basically everywhere I've seen (CBS, SI, the Athletic, SBNation) have most/all of their analysts taking Texas to beat USC, usually by around a TD or so.
For whatever it's worth, I'd probably go with Texas too - not because I think they're particularly good, but because (a) I don't think USC's offense is ready for primetime, (b) I also think the post-Stanford effect is real and will hurt USC, and (c) Texas is playing at home, which means at least something.
You would be correct. Texas is a 2-point favorite in S&P+ at a neutral site. Put them at home, and I think they win by at least a FG maybe more.

Okla -18, Wisc -21, LSU +9, Boise +3, Bama -21, Mizzo -7, Ohio State -12.5, USC +3.5, ArizSt -4.5, Wash -6.5

I disagree that tOSU-TCU game is at a neutral site. TOSU will wear white. ESPN announced the Game Day will be at Arlington, but actually it will be at Fort Worth. TCU is about 20 minutes from AT&T Stadium. Despite all that, cheaters can't beat us. Lol. Go Bucks!
I bet the stands will be close to 50-50-. Lot of alumni and fans in TX.
And, conversely, how many total living alumni can little TCU have? 70,000? And maybe only half of them live in Texas?
Spartan13 would like a word with you.
Eventually I saw on twitter TCU is wearing black, that thread was no help lol
Pretty sure TCU had to give up half the ticket sales for the neutral site payout. It'll be at least 50/50 or better for the Buckeyes.
I'm happy for Joe Burrow, but after comparing him to Dwayne after week two (with all due respect) the OSU coaching staff made the correct choice as to who should be the starter.
It looks that way but his supporting cast is really weak compared to what Haskins gets to work with. At least 2-3 of the second string oline and probably second wave receivers would be starting at LSU.
Or Joe made a better choice and got the staff off hook
On WLW, the Vegas sports book just said Gary Patterson is 3-4 against the spread as an underdog since 2016. History not on the Frogs side for an upset.
I hope Texas doesn't win another game! Screw Tom Herman!
Bingo! My thoughts exactly.
Is there really any doubt he’s the one who tried to smear Urban after Urban snatched the number 1 receiver in the country right out from under Tom Herman?

Keep up the good work, AV.
I just ask myself each week, “What would Navy do?” and pick accordingly. So far, so good!
If only I’d known you when I was a young lieutenant. Had I asked myself, “What would Andy do?” in a few situations, I might’ve avoided a lot of trouble.
LSU is in trouble but 9 is actually a pretty big spread considering LSU’s defense, Stidham’s early season struggle against UW in a dome, and the weather. It’ll be an ugly game and Jeaux is going to take a beating but I expect it LSU to cover under these conditions.
No idea what to expect in OSU/TCU. Neither team has really been tested so far and the Buckeye defense certainly looked vulnerable to the athletes in space against the Beavers. TCU has those athletes and it’s in a dome. We haven’t seen Haskins under much pressure and there’s every reason to expect that to change on Sunday. Those are the keys to the game. If Haskins can deliver with defenders bearing down on him and the defense can contained Robinson, Turpin, and co., the Buckeyes should easily cover. If the opposite is true, TCU will win.
I do think there’s a good chance a top 5 team goes down this weekend. If it’s not OSU, look at Alabama and Oklahoma facing tough early season road tests.
Andy Vance bringing the knowledge !
Looks like good picks all around by the staff!
I do miss Slay Travis though...not gonna lie.
WTF Jones and Wertheim - Taking the Horny Toads over the local team?
They took the points they didn't pick TCU to win
Has anyone used mybookie?
I have. It was good to me and most of my betting friends are still using that one.
