Gotta be a smart phone fat-finger.
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
That tour was smooth tho. I can’t tell the WR room is excited to have Haskins slinging the rock.
Glad to hear everyone’s happy and enjoying themselves. If you ain’t having fun, then your doing it wrong.

Maybe the most important connection they've completed is the connection they made with each other as friends. That or the 3rd and 13 against Michigan. Probably the latter IMO.
Hopefully, the fun is only beginning.
Somebody should tell Mack that JT is the most decorated QB in school history and there's no reason to be excited about Haskins.. at least that's what I've been told for the past year or so..
Senseless comment. Even the most ardent JT defenders have acknowledged that Haskins is a better passer. But I value all opinions and I didn't DV you.
"We gotta go win this next game and make the State of Ohio proud!"-UFM
I guess the "at least that's what I've been told" part didn't register as sarcasm with you?
I didn't. UVs all around.
Let me clarify.. my above comment was meant to be in jest.. there has been an endless onslaught of "stats don't happen by accident and JT was the greatest QB ever" articles on this sight, that I thought it would be funny to reference that in downplaying the excitement of the actual players. Didn't think the sarcasm font was needed.. I hope somebody got it..
Mack knows that and I sure he is grateful for what Barrett did for him and the school. But beyond the issue with Barrett and deep passes the one thing Barrettt either could not do or was afraid to do was throw passes where the receivers were suppose to be and not where he saw them to be. Barrett seemed to not trust that the receivers would run their routes correctly or maybe struggle to trust his own throwing on breaks. Receivers will only be open briefly and they are expecting to ball to be there on the break.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Nice to see the throwing QB dynamic in the offense compared to QB designed runs. Most likely more play action passing to draw in LBs with Weber / Dobbins combo.
Mack fears nothing. Tough as nails.
He is our most reliable receiver and always seems to make the tough catch in traffic.
Mack The Knife
Best set of hands on the team.
Hmmm... KJ Hill perhaps? But I agree, between Mack & Hill we are in truly good hands. Both those guys seem to reel in anything thrown in their vicinity. Top 2 receivers on our team by a wide margin IMO.
Best set of hands on the team.
But is his catch rate elite?
Caption for that could be "I got your flag... your down man". Instead it was, first down Buckeyes!
"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."
Woody Hayes 1913 - 1987
Why was the DB waving a towel in his face too?
i think it’s hard to quantify exactly what it means when you genuinely enjoy hanging out with the people you put work in with. this is as real of a Buckeye’s team as I’ve ever seen covered in the press.
hope all these guys see the fruits of their labor and enjoy the ride together.
At last, Kerry had cracked open his first Red Bull with an impatient delight. And the rest, as they say, was history.
They're all chickens. The rooster has sex with all of them.
23 Saturdays till kickoff
Sounds like pretty much the entire offense is excited about what the D Train brings to the table.
I imagine they’re over the moon, where every throw is live and anything is possible!
These two....incredible pair.
We have a lot of weapons in the receiving room, and the fact that Dwayne has a tremendous arm and is able to hit us in our breaks, when we need the ball and able to lead us when we need to and just run our offense clean, it’s super fun
It isn't just the strong arm. Hitting them in time, in the breaks and lead (accuracy) are what made Haskins so damn good on Saturday. It was like watching a traditional pro-style QB from 83. He made it look easy.
"His anticipation is very elite,...He gave me a chance on that little hitch route to turn my head around and get the ball, and allowed me to be an athlete." McLaurin, "and the most important thing is running out of routes because he's gonna put it on you."
Can UFM agree that it's a distinct improvement ? Don't try to force him into that old crusty Tebow mold. We're better because we're not 1 dimensional and predictable.
Something that was bugging me during the game and seeing the stats etc and will post here because it has to do with receivers.
Snap Counts for receivers
Binjimen Victor: 41
Austin Mack: 38
Parris Campbell: 36
Terry McLaurin: 35
Johnnie Dixon: 35
K.J. Hill: 22
Chris Olave: 18
C.J. Saunders: 14
Jaylen Harris: 7
Demario McCall: 4
If I remove McCall from the conversation, the only receiver not targeted in the game was Victor, the guy wit the most snaps. All caught a pass except Saunders who was targeted for passes and obviously Victor. Thought he might be that outside deep threat with the way Haskins can through outside the numbers deep and his size, but didn't see that play once.
Is this concerning to anyone but me?
I don't apologize for anything. When I make a mistake, I take the blame and go on from there. - Woody Hayes
It's ONE game, and let's not get caught up just yet in the 'keeep the receivers happy' mode. The offense mmatruculated the ball down the field at will, with general ease. What I saw was Haskins making quick reads and getting it to the open man, although he did favor his 'favorites' in longer yardage third down situations it seemed. If Victor isn't getting the ball by game 4, the problem is Victor getting open or being in the right place, because Haskins isn't dawdling around back there- he's getting the rock out of his hands quick. If you aren't open when and where you're supppsed to be in this offense, you aren't an 'elite ' receiver after all. But let's give it a few weeks and we'll know who is and who isn't.
Victor was targeted. His back was turned and blocking.
You win with people.
Victor was seen blocking downfield. He'll get his receptions after Weber and Dobbins stab a few more first. Then throw his fade.
It hit me Saturday afternoon.. But can you guys imagine what we would have done to CFB with a combo of Zeke, Mike Thomas, Day and Haskins? That's a dream I wouldn't want to wake up from
I almost feel bad for J.T. this whole week all of the wide-outs are saying how miraculous they feel and J.T. must be hearing this right after he got cut too
"The people, who try to make this world worse... are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness. ~ Bob Marley
Yea, me too.
The high velocity pass before the break, and passes leading receivers away from coverage , are signs that Dwayne can and will have success against better defenses. He was over 80% against ttun last year in his brief performance.
Yeah I know, it’s early. But these comments from the receivers are consistent. Lots to read between the lines?
It was Super Fun to watch.
Haskins to Mack, Haskins to Hill this is the situation we were hoping for - strong possession receivers who are capable of gaining separation and a QB who throws to where you will be! Truthfully you give me these two guys and Dixon threatening people with the deep route tree for them to work off of and we are on fire! That is no slight to Terry or Parris who frighten with their speed and power and I believe should come in and out of the line up which would catch defenses and deliver painful lessons, it is simply to say I feel like these three bring the most difficulty TOGETHER!
Haskins hitting those guys with Dobbins coming out of the backfield and the TE staying on Munford's side to chip and we can throw on as the Rock would say "It doesn't matter what their name is!!!!
I would rather be on hand with 10 men then elsewhere with 10,000 - Timur Lenk
I liked what Mack, Hill and McLaurin brought to the table on Saturday, 15 catches among the three. They’re also noted as the best blockers @ their position, something I’m sure the RBs appreciate!
I imagine it may be a different combo this week; regardless to who it is, I enjoyed those that produced when they had opportunity, and the same going forward. Hi
