Excellent to see it's "business as usual". All those "he's gone after this year" blowhards in the media and quite frankly our own fan base can go suck on an egg.
"No we don't give a da*n 'Bout the whole state of *ichigan"
He wouldn’t have fallen on the sword to leave after this year. There was never any credence to that rumor.
"Because I couldn't go for three"
The universe is back in harmony now that the season has started. It was inevitable, we just needed to be patient
Day did a great job, but I am glad URBAN is back! <3
Go Buckeyes! #TeamUrban..
Razor focus on the prize ahead. The most important thing now is hammering Rutgers.
And getting hammered while watching Rutgers.
"Leaders create culture." Urban F. Meyer
How is this troll not banned yet? Look at his posting history and joining date.
Agreed, Mods can we please get rid of this guy?
He posts the same as another poster. Mods should do an IP check.

Perhaps the username should be North-NorthwestofColumbus or FortyFiveMilesfromDetroit. Our guest didn’t do a very good job of hiding himself or his mission. I can’t even give that one a “Nice try.”
I survived Cooper, and I hate Tai Streets.
CNN has obviously rotted your brain.
I'm assuming you're a Michigan troll who is still salty that we have a far better coach than UM does... Take this in and please fuck off
Urban Meyer >Jim Harbaugh for ever and ever, Amen. 0
Read the report.
We Buckeye fans are aware there is a false narrative out there. That narrative is driven by people who, like you, haven’t read the report or paid attention to additional evidence, because you want to believe the worst.
the key word in the 1st paragraph. This is where you and the author got tripped up...insteadd you chose the opposite..."simple and easy to follow" as in take what espn and Brett McMurphy throw you and gorge yourself until full.
(especially of an argument, story, or sentence) extremely complex and difficult to follow
Says a dude from the University of Texas.. A stalwart of ethics in College Football.. A school that would employ Meyer next season if the had the chance..
Pigskins & Porkrinds
That article is hilarious. Of course it says Meyer was suspended for not taking appropriate actions to address abuse allegations, which is not the reason why he is suspended. I can't wait to hear all the hot takes after Zach's day in court.
"I love football. I think its the most wonderful game in the world and I despise to lose" - Woody Hayes
Just more Fake news from CNN lol
What's wrong with quoting the coach?
Well first you posted an opinion article from an guy who is from the University of Texas, if that isn't enough to get you banned...I don't know what is
Inb4 banned: who is your team?
Landon, $5 says he's a guy who lives in Columbus but is a TTUN fan...we all know those "types" lol
The likely case. It would be interesting if he was a grudge holding oregon or Notre dame fan though.
Actually read the report before you come here with your uninformed #takes.
Glad to have UFM back, at least for practice, as long as it doesn’t cause any conflicts with execution in the games. There’s a part of me that believes the offensive efficiency we saw may have been a product of not having UFM in on the play calling. I’m probably wrong, but it was like the staff removed a middle layer of communication and everything moved more smoothly.
I like the Buckeyes, just think we need a change at the top.
Dude just quit you aren’t convincing anyone.
Yeah, well, president Drake isn't going anywhere for now. I agree we may need a change but he's safe.
The players know the "real" Urban. We think we do, but we really don't. They know how much he cares for them and has their back. And they go to war for him every Saturday during football season. And he is there for them when it is not football season as well. And they know that as well. GO BUCKS!
Urban is back. So eat some fuck, haters.
When you lose, say little. When you win, say less.
Some folks that respectfully disagree with the Coach Meyer situation debacle mess are not haters. We are giving our honest and mind you, unbiased opinion. I understand your angst, am just sayin........
There is a difference between those who respectfully disagree with someone and those who are haters. I don’t think you fall into that category, Thomas 7.
Bet he let them have it for letting up in that second half. The boss is back and there's hell to pay.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see Urban and the Bucks give the rest of the college football world and media a giant middle-finger by beating everyone and winning the National Championship.
Whoever downvoted this needs to find a new team to cheer for, or at the very least have the testicular fortitude to identify themselves and explain why they don't want to see the Bucks win a championship.
Shandy is not beer
Ah, I see that I've shamed the DV'er into changing his/her vote, guess my work here is done.
I usually don’t put much stock into one downvote. Fat fingers happen and they may not have noticed it.
Look, I mean no disrespect to those that are glad Mr. Meyer is back, and that many players have commented positively as well.
Meyers handling of this whole mess was pathetic. I mean all of it, from his obvious subterfuge going back years to his post suspension comments. An articulate teenager could have been schooled better on how to respond to this debacle. It sorta reminded me of a former presidents saying:
”It depends on what the meaning of is, is” [slightly paraphrased]
therefore, out of total respect and continued heartfelt remorse by Meyer, I would NOT have let any player respond to his returning.
i don’t think Coach Meyer should have been fired, and it kills me that he will not be on the field opposite Coach Patterson if TCU; if the game were close, the chess match of decision making would have been a classic,
but come on guys, this slap on the wrist suspension outside Buckeye Nation is not going well or going away anytime soon. I keep thinking of all the battered women, spouses, that won’t and don’t report this shit because their voice is drowned out by power and worldliness.
Sir Thomas Templar Knight
There wasn’t any proven domestic abuse. Cops investigate crimes, domestic abuse it a crime, no charges were filed. Not sure why you added that last paragraph. Did he mishandle an employee? Sure. Did he ignore or cover up abuse allegations and/or crimes? No.
At this point the rest of the world can think what they want, their ignorance is such that you can’t even attempt to have a constructive conversation about misreported issues such as this.
US and Ohio Constitutions STILL require probable cause for ARREST. There was no arrest. Probable cause is a lesser proof standard than beyond a reasonable doubt. GET IT????? Unless you buy the fecal matter the Media Maggots let out of their annusses, then you are a s___ eater!! PROVE THERE WAS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!!
Why wait until the next day to call the PoweLL Police unless you weren't really scared, it didn't happen, you were drinking, divorce was ongoing and you needed to talk to your attorney first...any/all of the above. Cops still are governed by probable cause. This then got sent later to the County Felony Prosecutor and not even taken to the Grand Jury. GET IT!!!!!!!! Prosecutors have another set of written governing ethics that forbid them to continue forward on a case where this no probable cause!!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For over 33 years as a Domestic Violence Prosecutor, leaning to filing and/or arresting, this set of circumstances was not uncommon and I never talked to the Maggots.
but come on guys, this slap on the wrist suspension outside Buckeye Nation is not going well or going away anytime soon.
You’re right...there should’ve been no suspension. He was suspended for not firing ZS sooner...nothing about lying or DV.
You're too stupid to have a good time. -Dalton
Thomas 7, I can’t convince you of anything or believe I can change your mind about anything.
To this day, Zach Smith has never been convicted of domestic abuse. Courtney Smith called the police a number of times, and charges were never brought to Smith. There is strong evidence that Courtney Smith may be lying. Her own mother says she is a liar. When 911 is called 60 plus times and the police never file charges against the alleged abuser, something may be awry with the accuser. With that being said, Zach Smith will have his day in court.
Yes, Zach Smith is a very shady dude, and by all accounts was a very bad employee. Meyer shouldn’t have kept him around the program and should have fired him long ago. He clearly treated him differently and allowed him to get away with way more than he should have. Meyer admittedly allowed his loyalty to Earl Bruce, who was like a second father to him, cloud his judgement. That Meyer is guilty of, and that is what he was suspended for.
When you are close to someone, as Meyer is with Earl Bruce’s family, sometimes you can go against your better judgment with things. With people you love you can find yourself giving them multiple chances, hoping they will change and do the right thing. When they don’t, when dealing with people you are close to, you can actually give them more chances than they actually deserve. As we see in this case. Meyer kept trying to help Smith and He simply was incapable of changing. Zach Smith’s personal life and relationship with his ex-wife is a mess, and he did some shady stuff, but a person can be a bad guy, in a toxic relationship, and not be an abuser.
i know from experience, there are women out there than know they can lie and be believed because they are a female. Smith was convicted in the court of public opinion when the law never saw fit to convict him of an actual crime.
