Was always curious, Derrick. Are all coaches on the line during the teleconference, or do they call-in individually?
Hi ChicagoBuckeye10, coaches call in individually around every eight minutes each Tuesday morning. Little time with a lot to ask!
Interesting. How's that work with the varied amount of questions? Like, the article says Paul Chryst was only asked one question; did he just go into insane repetitiveness on that one question to burn all ~8 minutes so there wasn't time for more? Or was it just kind of an awkward "okay, anybody got any other questions? ...hello?...anybody alive out there?" odd silence where nobody had anything to say so he just sort of signed off?
Was asked just one question but made opening statement saying, "It was good to get the season going Friday night. Certainly looking forward to our second game against New Mexico."
Fascinating stuff out of Paul Chryst and Wisconsin.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Have you already forgotten the last 2 months? We need to send Urban to the Paul Chryst School of Press Conferences.
Listen to the music.
Gotta respect their response to losing... Up and at it, and on it.. and in it... and around it...
And aren’t Mondays supposed to be a day off for every team (except FSU/VT yesterday)? How did they “get on the practice field”?
“I intend to make Georgia howl.” General William Tecumseh Sherman
Stinks for Nebraska having their game cancelled. Not their fault but still really stinks for them. Everybody else has played a game at this point to sort of figure out who they are.
But at the end of the year, they don't say 'That was an ugly win and that was a pretty one.' They just say 'That was a win.'"
That's not exactly true coach.
"Ohio has saved the Nation"
"Why wasn't I told about this?"
"Two words, Mr. President. Plausible deniability"
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Salad and a sausage....
Too bad Vodka Sam isn’t around there anymore to show him how to do it up right. Lol
“Right now, Michigan is not at the pinnacle of college football, and that’s all Urban Meyer cares about...He’s been there and knows what it takes to get there.”
What are the odds that Urban is secretly happy that he gets to foist the teleconference off on Ryan Day? I mean, I'm sure he'd rather be coaching on Saturdays, but there's a part of him that is going "well, at least there's one benefit to this suspension trash", right?
The press conferences aren't really that annoying, since its like 5-10 minutes. But he openly hates the radio show.
Sorry to break the news to Coach Franklin, but at the end of the year everyone can make the same conclusion - the week 1 win was an ugly win for Penn State.
No such thing as a bad win
I feel bad for his kids because just reading his answers I know they have some L's coming their way.
"It's so easy to be average...to HELL WITH THAT" - Urban Meyer
I guess this means I have to read all the Pat Fitzgerald comments now.

The Rutgers defense is about to see things they've never seen before.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Closing the day's action is No. 11 Michigan State at Arizona, scheduled to air at 10:45 p.m. on ESPN.
My Gosh is Harbaugh just a complete train wreck. 3-4 sentences of saying absolutely nothing.
Fields of Dreams
Someone must have given him 2% instead of whole milk
That's the job. Spend 3-4 sentences saying nothing to the press. He is a buffoon, perhaps a bouffant baboon buffoon, but not because of how he handled the press conference.
Buffoon?.. well you sure are very nice calling him that...haha
“Uh ... none of your business, second key is none of your business and none of your business. To be totally transparent,"
Awesome. I like Fitzgerald even more for that.
Here's to hoping Northwestern is the sleeper team and takes down Wisconsin.
OSU vs. Wisconsin is getting boring.
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
Note to Urban and Ryan; push the tempo hard and fast in Crappy Valley.
The only hard day was yesterday
Note to Urban, and listen to Ryan; and push the tempo hard and fast in Crappy Valley.
Conan the Bosarian, the Predator and a Two-headed Monster! I like where this is going!
So Harbaugh has no answers for the teleconference nor for his offense's ineptitude.
The fact that Harbaugh has been so "kid gloves" tells me that whole thing is really close to going south. How soft is your team/program if you can't just let them have it when they don't play well.. Them bottoming out AGAIN doesn't do the B10 any good but it will be beautiful to watch.
