Has anyone heard when LSU is announcing the winner of the QB competition? Sorry for commenting on this article, just figured I’d check.
Ps, 5 more days! #gobucks
Last I recall, it was Jeaux’s team... someone correct me if I’m off.
"Because I couldn't go for three." - Woody Hayes
I don't think they have announced it but everything I'm reading points to it. Some of the LSU guys were saying the player only meeting was not only about young guys not wanting to play special teams, but guys dropping balls intentionally when Burrow was in. Coach O all but confirmed it when he said we have way to many dropped passes after the scrimmage. Wish the kid well.
“It does not matter the size of the man, rather the amount of effort the man is willing to put forth” - Woody
Yeah, Burreaux has the tools and is surrounded by decent enough talent to have a good season for the Bayou Bengals in Red Stick. It is a shame though the team chemistry has sucked at LSU since the 2007 season.
Too much time spent at the North Heidelberg rather than the classroom. SSD 68-72
Crazy, I hadn't heard the thing about dropping passes on purpose. Hopefully Joe can win over the locker room once he is named the starter or he's going to be in for a rough couple of years. I can't imagine going through the grind of a D1 athlete, especially one as high profile as QB, without the support of teammates.
most of the smoke was around Greedy reeling in the young guys about not wanting to play on special teams, I'm not saying that the dropped passes definitely happened, just something I had read some LSU guys saying TIFWIW
Wolfmusk, I'm late on here; they've already announced the starter is Ohi-eaux Jeaux!

Its good to be talking football again.
Actually have chills in reading a scouting report on Oregon State football.
Respect to Jonathan Smith, new HC for the Beavers, and he knows he's outmanned (on and off field) here. I'm keying on how the Buckeyes (linebackers) present pass coverage - and thinking Togiai may be a solid first test there.
So looking for a good start to the season, with both teams finding out who they are (and who they can be).
No f'n injuries.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Signs point to a blowout.
Martel likely gets some limited snaps in (capped due to injury risk) while I’m sure Baldwin may also see the field.
What about the WV transfer? Any news on whether he suits up? Article said he was immediately eligible, but it wasn’t clear whether he would join this year’s roster or next.
The transfer can't play this year unless one of scholarship players is hurt and misses year or leaves as we are at 85 limit
he could certainly walk on, no?
Day said in his conference that he is a buckeye and that they are at 85, somebody must have got hurt or transferred!
Smith was OC at Washington prior to getting the job at Oregon St. The Grinch should be very familiar with his offense. Should be a long day for the Beavers.
18 Saturdays till kickoff
No idea how to find any type of workplace production this week... In addition to the previous 3 weeks.
ITS FINALLY HERE!
"...and when we win the game, we'll buy a keg of booze. And we'll drink to old Ohio till we wobble in our shoes."
The chances of osu winning are slim and none. And I heard slim is hanging out at urban's pool Saturday. And lowercase osu is oregon state for anyone with an itchy dv finger.
+1 for the chuckle

Yay football! Go Bucks!
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Togiai vs Togiai.
El Mundo necesita gente que ame lo que hace
They are half-brothers
At tOSU and osu, none the less.
Ohio, the greatest state in the Union!
The OSU Togiai is fine, but the osu togiai hurt his knee and is on crutches.
This is a relief to OSU LB's since osu togiai was a TE and osu's leading receiver.
Mr. Lavaka, meet Mr. Landers, but the meeting will be fleeting. With a humid 85 forecast, he will struggle.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Scouting report: They’re bad
YOU SIT THERE AND YOU THUMP YOUR BIBLE AND YOU SAY YOUR PRAYERS AND IT DIDN'T GET YOU ANYWHERE!!! TALK ABOUT YOUR PSALMS TALK ABOUT JOHN 3:16.... AUSTIN 3:16 SAYS I JUST WHIPPED YOUR ASS!!!!!
Time to whip the Beavers!!!
I usually dont feel for bad for any team thats about to get obliterated but I do for Oregon State, all things considered. I hope the team comes out pissed off imagining every Beaver player is McMurphy.
The lord of brevity.

I couldn't resist.
I think you're okay, I'm not a mod, but I see no jiggles.
6'3" 378? Holy cow!
That’s a wide Beaver.
OSU vs. osu
Nut on top
Beat me to it. One thing is for sure is that OSU will win so I guess that means for sure osu will lose.
Beavs are bad at football these days. This one gone be ugly, as they say.
Boy, this is one of the few times I'm going to feel remorse for a team coming into the shoe. The Beavers are in the wrong place, at the wrong time with a pissed off team that has a lot to prove on that field.
Sorry to say, 67-0 Buckeyes.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Add a safety for the good guys.
"It's always scotch-thirty on my island."
Bucks smoke the Beavers 55-3.
Let's hand off to Dobbins ten times in a row to start and just bludgeon the hell out of them with an angry nasty line.

Looking forward to pounding that Beaver.

Our focused and balanced team will run all over the unproved Beavers.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
what a useful opportunity to find out if our OL & DL coaches 'rotate'...
or consider relative advantaging includes matchups.
o-re-gone State has two "huge" 'dominators' at OG & NT... who do we have that best mistmatches each, how?
otherwise... we could be potentially be trying to 'balance' or disadvantage ourselves by putting a 'too small' from our 'really big OL' vs their really bigger that i'm so worried! OH how we have 'so known' thru our traditions that 'you just can't do that'... and win. LoL
I wouldn't expect them to show much of anything new. With a team that appears to be as over-matched as the Beavs, go out and play vanilla. Use this time to get the timing down for basic plays, reps for your 1st team. Once the outcome is decidely in the Bucks favor (probably at some point midway through the 3rd quarter or later, throw in the 2nd team to get some reps. Maybe even third stringers for the last series or two.
As noted above, the goal is a solid win that ensures everyone is up to game speed, no injuries, and allows for the assessment of our base offense and defense.
Ronaprhys - agree with your 'expect the usual' take.
Also, agree with validating our 'base' schemes & player 'reliability' in our first game.
Finally, agree with playing a lot of players.
I just don't think we should stop continual improvement/initiatives be cause we 'happened to get' points that we like.....
So let's don't run into the middle of the D line the entire 4th quarter, eh? I'd like to see us use a variety of plays designed to matriculate the ball doen the field in a forthright manner, without showing the "special sauce" we'll save for more competent opponents. But we should work both run and pass games, regardless of he score to improve timing under game like conditions. And we should do so with all our offensive options throughout the game. Perhaps even more important will be playing "basic" defense with a few blitz and other packages, but saving the more exotic stuff for when it's needed. Vanilla can be nice to watch if they simply can't stop it. Also hoping to see plenty of Tate with opportunity for him to throw some and have better results than the Spring Game.
I read the section on their oline twice just for fun. Everywhere you look its good news for OSU. Undersized RT for the Predator to feast on. A guard that struggles with athletic DTs, which Jones will annihilate. WRs that lack speed, QBs with almost no experience. A TE that likely won't play.
Can't wait to watch every moment of this glorious beating.

Blount, who completed 19 of 35 passes for 183 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions as a two freshman in 2016, took a redshirt in 2017.
What's the difference between a true freshman, a two freshman, and is that tuna fresh? Man?
High and tight boo boo
It's almost time to open up a can! It will be ugly for Oregon State.
Scouting report just makes me feel sorry for the Beaver..QB with a broken back...#1 offensive threat out...250 lb NT...going to be ‘Tater Time’ in a hurry...maybe clear the bench and see the whole lineup of Tater Tots....
If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.
63 Gus Lavaka – 6-4, 353, Junior
Looking forward to the Alumni band and Quad Script Ohio!!!
According to 11W, the Tulane game is Alumni Band Day.

Hey Cancer! This ass kicking is brought to you by the Sultan of the sythe. Give it hell CalPoppy.
Is the above picture one of their two 5' 9" Cornerbacks ? Two words: Jump ball. Put a few of our very tall wide receivers into the line up and abuse the obvious mismatch. That's intelligent head coaching decisions 5 days in advance.
77 - 6 Buckeye victories begin.
Is there a mercy rule in CFB? Cause Oregon St is going to need one on Saturday. I almost hope Desmond Howard's homerism on GameDay reaches borderline madness levels and he picks Oregon St to win this game because, domestic violence. Nothing better than making ole Des look like a fool.
If their huge guard struggles with quickness, I expect Bobby Landers to eat him up and spend a lot of time in the backfield disrupting things. Can I just sleep until then and wake up Saturday?
I hope no one from the National Wildlife Federation is present to watch the annihilation of so many creatures.
Never been happier to see a scouting report. Go Bucks!

I was kind of expecting a lot of run blitzes but seeing the lack of experience of the back 4 the risks in doing that might be too extreme.

Neah, JAK, be kind, just suspend Dr. Drake for one semester.
They better not have #90 in a nose tackle. At 265 and 6 feet tall he's going to get steamrolled by the wall of man and the 2 headed monster behind it.
Does anyone have an information on whats going on with the BIG Ten Network? If I don't get all the Buckeye games I'm going lose it.
Comcast dropped it for large sections of the country I believe
That is what I thought. I live in MA and tried to find it the other day.
Spread is -37 Bucks...so I'll say 52-10 good guys
77-0. Fixed it for you.
The Beavers didn't win a game against an FBS opponent in 2017. Yikes.
My initial thought was that Oregon State will try very hard to shorten the game, so it would tough for the Buckeyes to cover the -38. But due to the media witch hunt effect, I now expect that Buckeyes to score in the neighborhood of 60 points in this game regardless of how hard Oregon State tries to get out of Dodge.
Ideal scenario: 21-0 !st Qtr; Tate starts and plays full 2nd Qtr., 42-0 at half (Tate needs to play with the 1's in a real game, because if he has to replace Haskins, due to injury, in a real game, he will be playing with the 1's, not the 2's). 2nd half, I'll leave that up to the coaches. I've given them a 42-0 lead, the 2nd half is yours. One half is about all I can handle. LOL.
Anyone recall/know if these two OSUs have met before? Regardless, excited to finally get back to Buckeye football and my last first game as an undergrad :(
Analysis-wise, I'm feeling kind of sorry for the 290-pound nose tackle... The backfield hydra might gain a few hundred on these guys.

In ‘74 & ‘84, both times in Columbus. We’re 2-0.
Oh sweet baby Jesus it’s finally arrived. This has been the longest off season ever. So excited to sit down with family, or stand, and watch this game. My son will be watching his first game ever or at least in the room with us while we watch it. I cannot wait!
And what about the osu coach? What are his game tactics?
