I love film break-down like this. I like to be a in-tune fan watching the game----this was a well-done article!
Ditto. Kyle's breakdowns are one of the best features on 11W. Thanks again, Kyle!

I'm at work - how am I supposed to have the time to digest all this information?
You may want to inform your boss of the impending productivity decline. It may last until the second week of January so adjust the schedule accordingly.
My problem is that I AM the boss.
The 1st ttun slide, funny watching #5 Peppers, once again, trailing and OSU rusher, lol. GO BUCKS!!!!
Peppers is late to the party in BOTH ttun clips.

Defensive Player of the Year, right there! Seriously, did the B1G voters actually watch ANY football games that year?
Excellent article! Thank you.
J.T. should have gotten creamed on the speed option video but it looks like the unblocked DE bounced off of him.
That's what happens when you try to cover both guys. You end up on your ass.
I love these breakdowns. Some of the best content on the site!
Great stuff! Learned a lot and will be watching the games a little differently this year.
And I always love examples where we are smoking ttun!
Good read. Kyle, when the Urban stuff first started going on, Chris Brown (sports writer, not musician for everyone else) tweeted out a link to Ohio State's playbook. That tweet was deleted within 24 hours. Did you get a chance to see that? Should the OSU staff be concerned at all if that were an accurate and up to date playbook that was leaked?
Yes, Chris tweeted out a link to the 2014 playbook, which is very similar to what they still run today. While coaches are freakishly competitive by nature and don't like to give away anything close to a secret, there was very little in there that couldn't be found by watching film of the team since Meyer took over.
The real issue is whether or not the game plan for a given opponent is leaked, as the playbooks themselves are so big that it doesn't help to know all 30 run plays OSU could run, but it does help to know which 5 they plan on running against your team. Rarely does this happen, but given the length of time before bowl games, game plans have slipped out from other programs in the past.
Interesting stuff. Thanks
I may not comment every time but please know that I read every article and consider this series among the best on this website. Much appreciated.
80 yards through the heart of the south. So beautiful
Kyle, I really appreciate these breakdowns of the plays. Now maybe I’m slower than the rest of the other posters, but I have trouble with some of the speed of the gifs to best understand the scheme. Is it possible they gifs could run at half speed? Just asking, maybe I’m the only one.

Hooray. Football in the fall is almost upon us, and...

I'm looking forward to run plays that do not feature QB run option as much. Until Big Tate gets in of course. Can you imagine Xbrax 2.0 running those options after a few series of 2 back sets, RPO's and pinpoint downfield passes? By then, Tate can suck that defense in and throw just decent passes and find people wide open. This is going to be a season for the ages and I hope Ryan and Urban and Co. let them eat until the mercy rule is obvious. I want to see this team scoring in the high 50's and above in the 7 games that is should be very reasonable to expect and in the 40's against the 4 legit opponents. The throttle is off this offense now and I want to see mayhem on both sides of the ball.
Kyle, Great Read as usual! How do these schemes change with 2 back sets? Would Day/Wilson substitute a wideout, etc.?
